Our room had not been cleaned after the second night. With the weather being humid, we had showered frequently and needed the daily fresh towels. We were given more bath towels-not a full set of hand towel and wash cloth- at the desk.
The complimentary breakfast was very good each morning.

I have noticed lately that Holiday Inn has made an effort to upgrade their image; however this hotel is not an indicator of this. It is old and in need of renovation or closure. Dirty Bed Spreads, stained carpet in rooms and halls, old paint chipping and the bad old motel mildew smell. I would not recommend to a friend.

It was difficult getting in and out of the parking lot but once learned it was okay. Amenities was perfect for our needs. Staff was nice and accommodating. Prices were reasonable. As long as prices and fees remain reasonable we will surely stay there again when we are in the area again.

Great location if you are attending events at the Leon Co Civic center which is 1 1/2 blocks away. Clean, well equipped rooms. Only thing lacking was ice. No ice machines on the floors. Had to get it from the kitchen. Full size refrigerator in the room has icemaker but is not on and making ice until you arrive an turn it on. If they could do that in advance, then it would be perfect.

The staff was helpful and friendly. The hotel was neat and clean. It was a good place to stay during my short trip. I would stay here again. Regarding parking, the description states "free" on this listing, but it's street parking at the meters (free on weekends) or you can do valet parking for a fee.

HI,
The Governor's Inn is really quite nice. The queen beds, which is what we had, are too small for me and the missus. I am 6' and she is 5' 7' and no we are not giant fat people.
There is no parking, so you pretty much have to use valet parking, which is $10/day. It is well located in the downtown, and there are several nice restaurants close by. We particularly liked the "1 to 1".
The staff are absolutely cracker jack, top notch. For one person, it would be super. I don't know if they have rooms with larger beds, or two queens.

This was a nice hotel with a convenient location downtown. The room was somewhat small, but it did not feel cramped as space was managed brilliantly. The hotel did not feature room service, but did offer at least two complimentary water bottles. Noise from the major street on which it is located is minimal. Overall good experience!

The rooms were ordinary in size and clean without any real sparkle. Good water pressure in shower. Beds were a little lumpy. Good HD TV but took some time to figure it out. Adequate breakfast in a small space...especially on a busy Saturday morning. Breakfast staff worked fast, hard, and politely!

There is nothing great about this La Quinta. It's located where I needed to be. The pool looks good but it's really a bit run down. Nothing horrible but it will never be confused for a 3 star hotel. Overall the room was doable for one night and the price.

I was only here for one night and had dinner at the Bonefish Grill. The hotel was an average experience. Staff not very personable. Breakfast fruit looked bad, watered down Orange Juice, milk instead of creamer for coffee, only one flavor of yogurt.

In Tallahasse to help my stepdaughter move out of her dorm. Found this hotel close to several restaraunts we like, and not too far from campus. The room felt a little cramped with the king bed, but otherwise was quite nice. We sometimes bring my stepson, so was happy to hear they also have suites. Also, we were happy to discover that they allow dogs in this hotel. We don't plan on bringing our 3, but enjoyed getting to meet a couple dogs while we were there. We will definitely be back here on our next trip to Tally!

We stayed here for one night over graduation weekend in December. The hotel is older, but clean and in good condition. Complimentary cocktails from 5:30-7:30 was a bonus, and although breakfast was lackluster, it was nice that we could grab a bite before heading to graduation ceremonies. Bed was very comfortable!

The hotel was nice -- modern decor -- and clean. Complimentary breakfast was excellent (with hot and cold food choices and great coffee -- I'm a very picky coffee drinker)!
My ONLY complaint is not with the hotel but with the very noisy FIGHTING COUPLE that chose to argue for hours during the night. Would stay there again though.

Visited FSU for preview. Arrived very late in the evening & greeted very well at checkin. I was pleasantly surprised with our stay. Room was larger than expected, very comfortable and clean. Breakfast was very convenient, no it's not IHOP or Denny's, but coffee was good, kids were happy it was a hot breakfast and made their own belgian waffles. Will be staying there again.

Location to my venue was great. Room was very small.....I have never stayed in a hotel or motel single room that had the tub and commode in one room and the sink and mirror outside the "bathroom". My TV did not work, if you walk by it and bumped into the shelf it was on it would die....remote had no batteries, it skipped channels...

I stayed here for the FSU vs. Miami game, and would only stay here again if there were nothing else available. I asked for an early check-in, and wasn't able to get my room key until 3:30pm. The staff was friendly, but their system was very unorganized for checking guests in. I found dried blood and "hair" on one of my towels...not cool. The place was loud...but I guess you have to expect that on game night. I'm giving it 2 stars because you get what you pay for - and it was gameday.

The room was not ready when we got there. When we got into a room it was marginally clean. This hotel is near the road and has lots of street noise. At 6AM the garbage collection truck arrived and its backup alarm woke us up. The internet did not work and I got the imperssion this is an on going problem. Breakfast consisted of packaged bagels and muffins.

After reading the previous reviews I expected a dump but I was surprised. [...] Towels and linen were clean. Everything worked. No problems or complaints as I knew I wasn't staying at a marquee name but with the game weekend the selections were limited. Would recommend again.

Hotel was clean, but very "bare-bones". The staff at night was not as friendly, but the day staff was great. The breakfast was VERY limited.

Hotel was nice enough, it was clean and comfortable, with all the basics needed for a weekend away. The staff was very friendly and helpful, but the complementary breakfast was a bit underwhelming and inadequately for the number of people staying there. The hotel was well situated for all the activities based around graduation, with plenty of restaurants nearby and easy access to entertainment, shopping, and nightlife.

when i arrived at the front desk i immediately noticed the indian decor throughout the lobby, didnt not come off as professional to me. then i check in and recieved my key, unloaded my bags and proceeded to 'my' room, i noticed a 'do not disturb' sign on the knob but really thought nothing of it, so i put my key in and unlocked the door only to discover that someone was already staying in the room!! luckily no one was actually in the room when i opened the door! so i had to drag all my bags back to the office where i was given another room like it was no big deal. good thing im an honest person and shut the door to the room as soon as i opened it. i was worried when i wasnt in my room who they were giving MY key to...i won't go back for sure...

Before booking I read some of the reviews. I wasn?t expecting much and that?s exactly what I got. Not much. There was a distinct musty smell to the room, the curtain wasn?t completely attached to the rod, cable reception was poor and the cleanliness of the room was questionable. Check in and check out was quick and easy and the proximity to the FSU campus was hard to beat. Oh, did I mention the fleas? We won?t be back.

The woman that works the breafast on the weekends was the best. She treated me and my family like we were guest in her home. The front desk personel was attentive to all of our needs and we had a lot. I don't usually write reviews but I thought everyone should know how great the staff was.

We had four people in a room with two queen-size beds and a kitchenette. The beds were OK, but the room itself was about the tiniest it could possibly be to fit the two queen-size beds and a kitchenette in. Just glad we didn't have to spend more than four nights. The rate was OK. No breakfast of any sort (except coffee) which was a bit of a disappointment. The immediately neighboring area was a bit loud and not extremely safe. Pool was icy cold, shouldn't even have been open.

Sheets were dirty, room smelled a bit, the restroom had old stains, & when we arrived I noticed that their was a person who looked homeless pushing a shopping cart to one of the rooms. Which gave me the impression that this was one of the places that rent by the week to people who are homeless. I don't have a problem with that, but when I paid $134.00 for two nights this place should have been maybe a $30.00 a night place, if even. My suggestion don't go here unless you don't mind the stuff I said but make sure that you don't pay no more than $30/a night it is not worth it.

Econo Lodge Tallahassee staff was very nice. The room had a very strong smell of cigarette smoke, it made your eyes water. The carpet was stained in several places and there was clumps of grass (or something)on the carpet by the bed. We checked out within minutes of seeing our room.
