When me and my family pulled up to this hotel there were what appeared to be hookers in front of the facility not to mention the appearance of crack dealers. We were afraid for our lives and could not get out of the parking lot fast enough. I would not recommend this facility to anyone!!As far as I am concerned stay at your own risk!!I would never use [...]again, they said that this was a 3 star hotel? What a joke!!

I had a four hour flight and a 2 hour drive and arrived at my hotel at 10:30pm to be shocked by the front desk people telling me the hotel had been overbooked and I would need to call [...]to get a refund. I have stayed at many hotels over the years but never heard of one being overbooked and from what they told me by 60 people. Of course I got no phone call or e-mail to let me know about this. I was then referred to a roach motel down the street. WORST NIGHTMARE for a traveler. Please do not stay at this place if you want to have a guaranteed reservation during Masters week.

While the staff was polite and they DID clean the room -- the overall "feel" of the property was gross. I didn't want to walk on the carpet -- thankfully didn't spend much time there. I took a damp cloth and wiped the light plates on the wall, which were just covered with dirty fingerprints. Pretty sure they had never been wiped down.
Bed was comfortable, but didn't come with a blanket. Just a stained bedspread. The couch was stained too -- and there had been patchwork repairs in the wallpaper, etc. Our friends stayed at the one on Washington. Honestly, it wasn't much better, but geographically much better to the course. It was the one I thought we'd booked, but hadn't.
Most of the rooms smelled like smoke.

Don't even stay here. The hotel is way old and it was dirty and smelled bad...Smoke smell and just stunk. Kept one eye open all night thinking any minute bugs were going to crawl out of the walls.

Room was excellent. Best features: fridge and microwave and free wifi. Very comfortable bed nice layout. There's a Bojangles fried chicken fast food place across the parking lot and a mcdonalds across the street and a few steps down the road. The continental breakfast was ok. They do have eggs and sausage that are ok, there's is a waffle maker just leave yourself time to use it. A very safe feeling facility, friendly staff, and a very brightly well lit parking lot. Overall a very good experience and excellent quality for the money.

I stayed there for 1 night only and the whole experience was great. The location is great if u r in the area for business related to one of the medical centers right accross the street from the hotel.

This si the NASTY hotel that I have ever slepped in. The bathroom has doo doo in the toliet.. The bed had hair from you know where. The sheets had black stains. The room smelled like old pee pee. No clean towels. I did not brush my teeth or take a shower with that nasty water... DO NOT GO HERE..... I want my money back!!!!!!

First time to go to Augusta for Masters.
Please do not stay at this filthy motor inn.
They need to do the renovation instead of having customers at this filthy place.
It is shame that they are still staying in the business.
It was $130 per night, I know it was Master golf season, but still it is way too expensive considering this is worse than the youth-hostel.

We enjoyed our stay in our room. I seemed very clean and appealing. The pool area is very pretty. The ice maker broke at one end of the building. The walk to the ice makers is long and only on the first floor. Breakfast was good. The staff was very nice and professional.

It's tough to get lodging in Augusta for the week of the Masters unless you book the whole week. We only needed three nights. All the places jack up their rates to ridiculous prices, but you at least expect a clean room. This Quality Inn looked good in the pictures and description on the website. Unfortunately, the pictures must have been taken at least 10 years ago. The air conditioner in the window was inches away from the bed, and blew directly onto the bed very noisily all night long, so you had the choice of freezing or tuning it off and being hot. The kitchen and bathroom were not very clean. Bottom line---we came home after putting up with it for only two nights, but of course, couldn't get a refund!!

This hotel was not a really bad stay but it could have been a great deal better.The bed was uncomfortable for my husband and the pillows were more like throw pillows than bed pillows. Overall the room was clean and the staff very polite.Not what we were use to in a Choice Hotel stay.

Stay was what you'd expect from a Wingate. Good price, reasonable amenities & room. Friendly staff. Only complaint is that I didn't get my requested wake up call, but I had set an alarm too and did wake up. Room showed some wear - and the pillows were stiffer foam that I like, but then again, the price was inexpensive and I can't expect a 5 star stay at a 2 or 3 star price.

Great location, nice hotel. I especially like the fact that they offered an all you can eat buffet. The only things that I didnt like were the fact that our room was right across from the elevator. About 5A I awoke to the ding of the elevator. Also, the bathrooms were clean but old and dingy. They need an upgrade. On the other hand, the room was nice, and comfy (except for the bathroom).

I have stayed here a couple of times - mainly because I have not found anything better in the area for the price (and even at $59 a night though, the hotel is overpriced). The staff is not very welcoming, and the hotel is usually packed, so parking is an issue. The rooms look OK, but the doors were very beat up in all the rooms I've stayed in, and not very well patched. The desks and other furniture are extremely old and beat up and the three rooms I've stayed in had broken chairs on the desk. The bed is probably the only saving grace as I was able to sleep extremely well the three times I've stayed here. I will continue to look for a better hotel, but judging by all the other ones in the area I've stayed at, I am not too confident I will find one.

We stayed at the Marriott for my brother's wedding. We chose it for the location which is right near the river and Broad St. where all the "action" is. It did not disappoint! It was a VERY nice suite, well laid out and very clean. They do have some construction going on right now so we didn't have a great view but that wasn't what we were there for. There is a fountain out front on 9th St. which we recognized from the engagement photos, it is very pretty, and I heard tell there was a playground near by on the river walk though we never had the time to go find it.

bed as if he was married. I checked out at an early morning hour and by an attendant that would not give me confirmation that my credit card would not be charged for any miss haps doing my stay. Get this

I came into town for business. It was a one night stay. The hotel seemed very clean, and I liked that all of the rooms were non-smoking. I was impressed that my room had an almost full-size refrigerator and microwave. There were two things that could have been better. First, the television seemed to have very few channels to choose from. There were no movies on demand, although the hotel has Showtime. The other thing was that it would have been nice if it was a little less noisy. Internally, the noise level was low, but a train came by at 4:30 AM and I could hear that even while wearing earplugs...

Good: Friendly staff, clean rooms, good internet access.
Bad: Noisy plumbing. Holes in blankets and drapes. Rips in carpeting. Poor quality mattress/box spring. Poor quality bedding and bath linens. Magnetic key cards are too easily wiped with anything electronic such as a cell phone.

It was suppose to be a non-smoking room, yet there was a cigarette burn clear through the bed spread. Then we pulled that off the bed to find awful stains on the blanket. Then we had things to refrigerate. We did not feel good about storing these items in the molded, rusty frig. eeewwwwoooooeeee. I asked for another blanket and was told they would try to find one. The whole experience was creepy. We went somewhere else!!!!!!!

I had to travel with aged parent and relative. The in-house free laundry was very helpful. Was not expecting full kitchen, and two digital TVs, which allowed me to relax in the evenings. Hotel is just off I-20, with access to a couple of malls 10 minutes away. Also lots of places to eat nearby.

I stayed at this Holiday Inn Express to attend a conference in Augusta during the week of September 26th. The staff was absolutely wonderful; the room was extremely clean and well-cared for, the hotel was quiet and the location was perfect. The only thing that I might have improved was the scrambled "eggs," but considering that there were a lot of other choices (and the warm cinnamon roll was heavenly!), this really wasn't a problem. I loved staying at this hotel and would definitely stay again.

The hotel has a good location for a good price, but...
The hotel initially put me in a room occupied by someone else. Internet advertisement indicated it had free WiFi (which was technically true), but that was only in the office (which was hot and had ricketty furniture). Three times out of 6 times accessing my room, the electronic key did not work and I had to get the key reprogrammed. The plug for the television had three items plugged into it, so it hung so heavily that would, from time to time, regularly pull itself out of the socket.
I suspect that there are much better hotels among the many in the immediate vicinity.
