Howard Johnson Inn and Suites Columbus GA

the room was quiet and in good location. the bed was comfortable. The furniture needs updating. And the room wasn't the most cleanness. The staff was very friendly.

The staff was rude as soon as we for there and we two night early and so we were hoping to get refunded for the nights well [...]the manager told me I had to go through [...]so she gave me a number I called. I was on the phone for a while well they said they would do it for that night but would refund one night which was fine then the [...]representative said she was going to refund it. Anyway to shorten this I WILL NEVER stay at the Howard Johnson again for many reason this just happens to be the one still bothering me [...] I would rather pay full price and extra and be treated with good customer service.

had a vist with my grandson in the army. no nothing was missing. A long trip by car.

Was in town to umpire a baseball tournament and got a good deal at the HoJo. Everyone was very nice, breakfast was decent and the pool was refreshing. Old tvs, ok internet, rough towels, great air conditioning.

The Property was kept very clean at all times. Nice continetal breakfast. River Walk is awesome and only 5 to 6 blocks away. I think more promotions (in the room) from surrounding business may be useful. Great dinner next to hotel at Ruth Ann's. Need food Delivery adds or chamber of commerce listings of businesses in area. Pool was very clean. Staff were very professional. Laudry room need repairs and Dryer not very good. It did get the job done but took extra change to do it. Graduation time and lots of kids running around. Security Guard was very diplomatic and firm...

We were in Columbus for a soccer tournament, and could not afford the hotel the team booked, and found this hotel thru an online deal. This was an older hotel. Clean, but needs upgrading. Our room didn't have windows on the ground level. They were up high. I didn't like that, as I love lots of light, and to be able to see what is going on (for safety, not to be nosey). The pool was clean, and the chairs were comfortable and looked new. The cleaning staff was friendly and professional, as was the woman in charge of the continental breakfast each morning. She remembered us and asked if my daughter's team won their game. The hotel staff was not at the front desk 2 times when we went to ask questions. This was rather annoying. Luckily, another guest waiting to speak to someone at the desk, was able to answer our question. Not a good hotel if you're looking for luxury, or a hot breakfast. Great for economy and basic comfort. In room frig, microwave, coffee maker, iron/ironing board, coffee maker, wi-fi, and cable TV. Fairly close to malls, parks, and lots of restaurants. We took in 2 movies at the local dollar theater, by the mall.

The hotel was in a very central location, very friendly stuff, very clean. The pool was super refreshing. This was my first trip without my kids and i really enjoyed it. i am planning to go back with my kids, not only do i think they would enjoy Columbus, but also the hotel.

Hotel was dirty, dirty, dirty.

The bathroom was filthy and the outlet didn't work. It had a strange odor. The tile was painted and it was peeling. The mattresses were almost touching the floor. The outlets in the room had extension plugs. The coffee maker didn't work unless you plugged it in behind the TV and there wasn't reg coffee. It was the worst experience in a hotel that I have ever had. I want to give the staff a better rating, but the survey makes it look like I am giving the hotel a 4. It wasn't the staffs fault that the hotel was in such gross direpair. The staff were very nice.

Went to Columbus to support my son who was graduating from Ft. Benning. Check in was easy and the staff was helpful. I had a problem with my card key every time I tried to enter the hotel. Room was older and not in the best condition. Carpet was old, fixtures were old, holes in the walls from previous fixtures- every wall. Ceiling had patch all over and doors looked like someone had forced there way in at some point. Definitely could use an update. However, the bed was fairly comfortable and the sheets and pillows appeared clean. As for the free breakfast -not too good. Coffee was empty, couldn't find the milk for the cereal, and when I opted for the oatmeal I wasn't able to find any hot water to add to it. I ended up taking a banana and box of dried cereal and headed over to McDonals for an egg mcmuffin. (Room 215)
