Outrigger Reef on the Beach

our experience at Outrigger Reef On The Beach was as good as we could have asked for. We chose to have breakfast vouchers as a part of our package and were very impressed with both the Ocean restaurant and the pool restaurant. The buffet at the Shorebird, while nice, was nothing spectacular. Selection day-to-day saw no change. Our room and bed, in particular, was outstanding. Our ocean view had Diamondhead and the ocean, which was wonderful for January for a couple of Wisconsin residents. Would repeat at Outrigger Reef On The Beach should we return to Oahu.

Beautiful room, friendly staff, and just a few steps from the beach. The staff was friendly and helped in every regard, would return in a heartbeat.

We stayed at a moderate room at Outrigger Reef for 7 days during the second week of January. This hotel was better than we expected. Our moderate, partial ocean view room in the Ocean Tower was exceptionally clean, roomy, and very well decorated. The room had a good sized lanai with a small table and two comfortable chairs that allowed a narrow line of sight to the ocean and Waikiki beach. Our room was on the second floor. If I had known better, I would have upgraded to a higher floor since the second floor room was located near a ground level passageway through which the restaurant received deliveries and organized their dish washing efforts. However, this noise was not intolerable. We barely noticed it after the first evening. We had a super comfortable king bed in our room. We also enjoyed the amenities which included a large flat screen tv, a refrigerator, an easy to use lock box, and a large, well-appointed bath with Grohe fixtures. The room and the bath were impeccably clean and well cared for. My wife appreciated the fact that the sheets were high quality and changed daily. Housekeeping was conscientious in providing the best possible service. We both exclaimed, “wow!”, when we walked in the door. The highlight of the evening was relaxing at the pool and listening to the wonderful Hawaiian music groups that performed nightly in the pool area. The restaurants in the hotel offered a variety of dining that would be perfect for anyone and any budget. We particularly enjoyed breakfast at the pool-side open air restaurant. The food was reasonably priced and very tasty. This hotel is in the middle of everything on in this beautiful city. The Sheraton Waikiki is only a block away, the Hawaiian Village is a short walk in the other direction. There is great shopping nearby but Outrigger Reef avoids the noise and crowds of the busier locations. There is a sense of peace here that is truly restful and pleasant. To me, the price of the room was a bargain in comparison to some of the other hotels on Waikiki. The Outrigger Reef is a great value.

Great hotel but confusing location for check-in. RIGHT ON THE BEACH! I know the timeshare zombies are everywhere (including the casinos in Vegas), but when they are actually in the hotel, it's depressing. Timeshares? What is this, the 80s?

The Outrigger is in a fantastic location right on the beach. We had beachfront rooms which was just awesome. Beds were very confortable and rooms were very clean. The kids loved paddleboarding right at our beach! This hotel was expensive but we were there the day after Christmas.

The lobby is beautiful, 3 restaurants to choose from...expensive, so get a packages with vouchers. Starbucks is right there - very convenient! If you want a spot by the pool or chair on the beach get there early! Very expensive, but very nice.

it was perfect! From the time we got their till the time we left! The hotel made our thanksgiving weekend awesome!

We went to the Honolulu for a wedding and booked a last minute flight and hotel. We were very happy with the hotel, staff and location. We would stay here again.

I was treated so good that this is the first place I will look for next time. I will be back.

The Outrigger Reef on the Beach probably is the LAST good value hotel in all of Waikiki, let alone ON Waikiki Beach. Their recent renovations help them keep up with the higher end hotels that surround it. The hotel concierge staff were very helpful throughout our stay.
