Lage:Das Luxushotel liegt in einem schönen Naturgebiet, direkt am fantastischen Strand Princeville an der Nordküste von Kauai. Zum Flughafen Lihue sind es etwa 62 km.
Ausstattung:Das klimatisierte Luxushotel verfügt über ein Haupt- und ein Nebengebäude mit insgesamt 252 Zimmer sowie über Empfangshalle, Hotelsafe, Wechselstube, Garderobe, Aufzug, Konferenzraum und Parkplatz. Des Weiteren besitzt es 3 Restaurants, Bar, Kiosk und Friseur.
Zimmer:Die luxuriösen Zimmer bieten Kaffeemaschine, Bügeleisen und -brett, Direktwahltelefon, Satellieten-/Kabel-TV, Radio und Kühlschrank/Minibar. Darüber hinaus sind sie mit Bad/Dusche/WC, Haartrockner, Teppichboden, Mietsafe und individuell regulierbarer Klimaanlage ausgestattet.
Sport/Entertainment:In der Außenanlage befindet sich ein Pool. Sie können zudem den Whirlpool oder das Fitness-Studio nutzen. Breathtaking views, good service, although not sure if it was worth the price

During our Kauai vacation my wife and I spent 3 nights at a resort in Poipu, and then 2 nights at the St. Regis. The views from the hotel are hard to match anywhere, overlooking Hanalei Bay, surrounded by lush mountains. The staff was extremely professional and pleasant and our stay was good overall. However, not sure how great of a value it was considering the cost. Breakfast and other resort dining was all pricey. Also, at least the week we were there, the resort and especially the pool area seemed crowded, which is great for business, of course, but not ideal if you seek peace, quiet, and relaxation during your vacation. Lastly, we arrived right at check-in time, 3pm, but had to wait until 4.30 until our room was ready for us.

We were totally happy with the ambience at Kauai Beach Villas. The facilities are maintained beautifully, the grounds immaculate. Very comfortable beds. The staff is helpful and attentive. Location was excellent.

This place was everything I could have asked for! It was beautiful and had everything we needed. My only complaint was one of the AC's didn't work. They came to fix it, but it never worked.
The pools were absolutely gorgeous and fun! The beach was great even tho there were a ton of crabs! :) I would definitely go back!

Nach einer kurzen Autofahrt erreicht man Restaurants und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten an der North Shore Buds and Bloom. In der Nähe des Resorts können die Gäste Golfen, Stadtbesichtigungen unternehmen, Surfen und vieles mehr.
Ausstattung:Renoviert im Jahre 2010, bietet diese Villa sowohl natürliche als auch künstliche Genüsse. Die Gäste werden hier mit Aussicht auf die Berge verwöhnt, die sich über das gesamte Hanalei-Tal ziehen. Auch der Blick auf das Meer und den historischen Kilauea-Krater ist beeindruckend. Mit seiner üppigen Landschaft und den Wasserfällen wird das Resort sicher jedem Gast gefallen. Das klimatisierte Hotel verfügt über 257 Zimmer und bietet in der Empfangshalle eine 24h-Rezeption mit Check-out-Service. This condo property was exactly what our family needed. We stayed 10 nights and needed a room big enough for all of us to stretch out in! Our room was clean and the housekeeping and maintenance crew were all super friendly and helpful. The facility was well kept up inside and out. The (old) pool was spectacular. My favorite! We will be coming back!

I had stayed at another Wyndham property previously and enjoyed it, so that was a deciding factor when I picked the Bali Hai for our Hawaii vacation. I made the right choice. We got a 2 bed, 2 bath suite (reserved a 1 bedroom suite.) Concierge and staff were friendly and helpful. The grounds were nicely maintained and we had access to a nice pool. The accommodations had all the amenities I expected including washer/dryer, fridge, range, microwave, TVs, DVD player, etc. There's no gym on the property, but they're building one. We decided to do a Wyndham timeshare presentation and received a $100 cash card and an Aloha Privileges Card (discounts on various activities) as a gift. These were a nice bonus. I'll keep an eye out for Wyndham resorts for future vacations. We didn't spend a lot of time in our rooms, but when we did, they were comfortable and clean.

Very hot/muggy (87) inside because they have no air conditioning - need to get in millennium. North island has less wind so you have to sleep with doors wide open and screens that don't lock - Hello cat burglars. Only condo exchange I ever paid additional($109 extra)fees. They nickel and dime for everything and $100 if you don't have it clean when you leave. Not worth price of admission. AVOID at all costs. Other than diving Tunnels Beach and hiking from Kee'e, south shore has more going for it. Stayed in south and east shores with better experiences. Two Thumbs DOWN!

Our stay was enjoyable. The setting was gorgeous, but you have to drive to a beach. The condo was up for sale and very outdated. Had to walk to one of 4 'smoking stations' which were located in the blazing hot sun/rain.

Nach etwa 2,5 km wird der Kapule Highway zur Route 56 (Kuhio Highway). Folgen Sie weiter dem Straßenverlauf, und biegen Sie nach ca. 40,5 km in die Ka Haku Road - dem Eingang zum Resort - ein. Nach etwa 600 m biegen Sie rechts auf die Wyllie Road ein. An ihrem Ende befindet sich das Resort.

Gorgeous place - not so convenient if you're doing a lot of activities

This resort is gorgeous right from the entrance. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful and the rooms were very very clean. The pool is spectacular and there are other pools and hot tubs away from the main pool if you are looking for a quiet atmosphere. The restaurant and pool bar don't have the best food on the island and it is a little pricy as is the food in the resort market. The bar closes down really early so if your looking for an evening drink you'll have to go elsewhere. The WiFi was awful. Very low signal and only worked half the time. Even the Internet in the business center was slow and cost $5.95 for 15minutes.
The place was really nice but if you are doing a lot of activities you may want to stay closer like in Kapaa otherwise it is a 40min to two hour drive to do boat tours, kayaking, some zip lining, and plane tours.
However, Princeville has a nice little market where you can grocery shop, get good food, and do a little shopping and Hanalei is only 8 minutes north with great food, beautiful beaches and some kayaking and surfing activities.

The hotel, location and amenities were fantastic. There were two issues though. One is the completely ridiculous lack of parking near the room. When I'm paying $13/day as a resort parking fee on top of a room parking way across the lot and a long walk from the room just isn't ok. The other issue we had was with the Westin's green policy, where they give you a $10 resort credit if you don't use the house keeping service. At check in apparently this wasn't explained anywhere near fully and it six phone calls to still not resolve the misunderstanding, with us just giving up and letting it slide. Other than that the hotel was excellent.

While staying at Wyndham Ka Eo Kai enjoy two beautiful outdoor swimming pools and an outdoor childrens pool and visit our clubhouse which hosts a gamut of our Get Out and Play activities like BINGO hula lessons and more From the resort you can also take a stroll on the historic tree lane a trail to Anini Beach previously traveled by carriage-riding plantation owners.
Outside the resort take advantage of Kauai sites and activities like Anini Beach Hanalei Bay St. Regis Makai Club Golf Course The Price Golf Course voted in the top ten golf courses in Hawaii boating scuba/snorkeling windsurfing live entertainment dining hiking horseback riding boating shopping and so much more.

Lage:Das Ressorthotel liegt am Eingang des Waimea Canyons an der sonnigen Westküste von Kauai, 800 m nach der Wegmarkierung Nr. 23 am Highway 50. Zum Flughafen Lihue sind es ungefähr 45 min mit dem Auto.
Ausstattung:Drehen Sie die Zeit zurück und machen Sie Urlaub in der Plantagen-Ära des alten Hawaii. Wohnen Sie in privaten Cottages, die inmitten eines etwa 10 ha großen Kokosnuss-Hains und neben schwarzen Sandstränden liegen. Aus den Anfängen des 20. Jahrhunderts stammend wurden die 48 Cottages 2006 restauriert, wobei die historischen Elemente beibehalten und mit modernen Einrichtungen ausgestattet wurden. Das Hotel verfügt über Empfangshalle, kleinen Supermarkt, Geschenkartikelladen, Bar, Restaurant sowie Konferenzmöglichkeiten und Internetzugang. Sport/Entertainment:Auf dem Hotelgelände gibt es Außenpool und Whirlpool und Sie haben die Möglichkeit, Volleyball zu spielen. In der Nähe befindet sich zudem ein Weltklasse-Golfplatz. Der Strand ist wegen der starken Strömung nicht zum Schwimmen geeignet. Einen Strand, an dem sie auch schwimmen können, erreichen Sie nach etwa 10 min mit dem Auto.
Verpflegung:Ganz in der Nähe gibt es ein Restaurant.

The cottage was quaint and very Hawaii. You feel as though you've gone back in time and our on the farm...in a good way. Footed bathtub made for a nice soak after a long day of hiking. Full kitchen was the best part as we cooked all our meals. Stopped at Costco from the airport and stocked up for our week stay. The beach is not ideal to swim in as it's murky and the westside is very far away from anything else. Not much to do. The location being the biggest downfall.

Loved the cottages. We could seek out adventure then return to our "home away from home" and kick back. It was wonderful having a kitchen and the privacy of a detached building. The cottage was well stocked and the grounds were great. It was quiet and very relaxing.

Fantastic - got in late and the staff left detailed instructions on how to get the room key. While the condo is definetly in need of some updates, the location could not be better. It's right on the ocean and you can fall asleep each night to the sound of the waves crashing on the rocks below. Poipu Beach is a 2 minute walk away and there are restaurants and bars within walking distance as well. The appliances all worked well and there were pots and pans and all that so you can save a coiple of bucks by eating meals in (the grocery store is about 5 minutes away by car). We did not deal with the staff much but when we did they were very friendly and helpful.
We would stay here again , no question. For what the place lacks in amenities it more than makes up with location and ambiance provided by the ocean.

Amazing unit for location. Waves breaking directly below us 24/7. We kept taking pictures to document the views. Really enjoyed having a townhouse with views from both floors. They gave us a free upgrade for seemingly the best view.
The unit was suitable for us but could maybe be updated, older carpet, etc. Enjoyed the "glass-louvered" windows to hear the waves and for the ocean breeze.
Pleasant, helpful Staff. Automatic lighting at the back of the unit every night for security. We did need to keep our sliding glass doors closed and locked every night, even on the second floor. Could maybe use added security as there were reported break-ins on the Island and the location is somewhat remote being right over the ocean.
The pool was clean and nice with waves sometimes breaking to "spray" into the pool area (I told you it was just above the ocean.)
Parking completely adequate for us.
Close enough to walk to area beaches (Poipu) and to a Restaurant and snack bar at "Brennecke's." The snack bar has breakfast items, laundry soap.
Well-stocked kitchen in the townhouse for meals or grilling at home. They also provided paper towels, dish soap, etc. Nice washer and dryer upstairs. Safe provided in the unit.
We snorkeled at Lydgate Park, swam in front of the Sheraton, took an ocean raft trip (pretty rough) to see turtles, took a canoe trip to a swimming hole, saw waterfalls, Sheraton Luau, and snorkeled at Anini on the North Shore. Recommend "Pink's" ice cream in Hanalei.
This was the best location we have had in Kauai (third trip here) and we enjoyed the quiet, "homey" feel to the property.
Our guidebook suggested that people ask for an "upgraded" unit when reserving. We had a "deluxe" two bedroom. All units are ocean-front.
Maybe ask for additional security if possible.
Don't expect a fancy hotel but more of a traditional, homestyle property.

the condo was furnished with everything you could imagine, top of the line appliances including washer dryer high speed internet and wi-fi hi def tv with bluray player ect.. even some beach gear chairs mats boogie board and now a beach umbrella we donated.decor was contempearary with a tropical flair.the lani was nice with tables and chairs to enjoy the surprisingly good ocean view ( condo lists as partial view)location was very close to poipu beach and a very nice walking trail toward shipwreck beach. the only negitive ..complex did get noisy, the sound travels and with everyone's windows open for the wonderful evening breeze some of the not so considerent guests were annoying. otherwise great experience...

The Makahuena is in a fantastic location at the end of a hotel resort area. It sits on a cliff looking out over the Ocean with 180 deg views. On pulling into the parking lot, we were greeted with a huge whale breaching not 200 yards off shore. Our room (a 3br ocean view)while older is in great shape. comfortable beds and breathtaking views from the balcony. All 6 members of our party were blow away by the value and the setting of this island paradise.
Will be coming back here on out next trip!

Were a small boutique resort of three 2 bedroom 1 bath cottages, and a larger 5 bedroom 3 bath home. We can accommodate up to 28 people, and our half acre property includes a swimming pool just for our guests. Staying with us is like stepping back in time -- three of our cottages are original Hawaiian plantation homes from the 1940s and fifties, yet were located right in the center of the Poipu Beach Resort area. All of our units have full kitchens including dishwashers and full sized refrigerators , washer dryers, and even wireless broadband internet service. Check-in is at 3 00 PM. Guests planning to arrive before or after this time must contact the property at least 48 hours prior to arrival to receive special check-in instructions. As a bed and breakfast property, the Front Desk hours will vary guests should contact the property to find out more information. To contact the property, use the number on the reservation confirmation received after booking.

We were here from Jan 17-27. Overall the location won out over any complaints, but the construction was a major issue...noisy, smelly and intrusive. Also, paying extra for a "partial ocean view" was a complete waste of money. The beach, garden and pool areas are beautiful. During construction there is only one restaurant on site and no hotel shop in which to pick up needed items...it's a long long walk to the nearest store. Weather was great; snorkeling was moderate; hotel activities staff booked us on a wonderful 5-hr whale watching boat trip...saw lots of whales, dolphins and turtles.

Overall, we were very pleased with the entire condo complex. Our room was very clean, well equipped and comfortable. We had noisy people above, but that is not an issue with the hotel.
The staff was very accommodating. We had to wait until 4:PM for our room on our arrival day and that was an inconvenience.
Another conventional style swimming pool might be a nice addition, since the single "lagoon style" pool can get busy and filled with kids.
Overall, an excellent value and we will return for another visit.

Check in was quick and easy, staff very friendly. The room was close to the front desk, which made things easier and could take advantage of the free wi-fi that was only available there. Parking was close to the room. I attended a conference at a property next door, and was only a ten minute walk. Condo unit had everything I needed, including a full kitchen, washer and dryer, huge bathroom with jumbo tub and shower, great view, lots of space, 3 large screen tv's. BBQs all over the property and utensils available at the front desk.

Alle Zimmer verfügen über ein Lanai, eine typisch hawaiianische Veranda, um stets die Sonne, den Mond und die warme Seebrise genießen zu können. Verantwortlich für die Gestaltung der Zimmer war Anita Brooks, ihres Zeichens Designerin des bekannten Red Rock Resorts in Las Vegas. Die Zimmer bieten alle ein eigenes Badezimmer mit Dusche und Haartrockner sowie Doppel- oder Kingsize-Betten, Sat.-/Kabel-TV und Internetzugang. Außerdem sind sie mit Minikühlschrank, Tee-/Kaffeezubereiter, Bügelset und individuell regulierbarer Klimaanlage ausgestattet. Alle haben außerdem einen Safe.
Sport/Entertainment:Ein besonderer Wellnessbereich bietet traditionelle und ganzheitliche Behandlungen, wie sie auf Kauai zu Hause sind. Es gibt auch einen Paarmassageraum. Die tropische Umgebung wird perfekt durch den neugebauten Swimmingpool mit Snackbar, Sonnenliegen und -schirme und ein Massagebecken ergänzt. Sportbegeisterte können ihre Muskeln im Fitnessstudio stählen, danach lockt ein entspannendes Bad im Sprudelbecken. Gegen Gebühr kann man sich auch beim Tauchen ausprobieren oder aber surfen, windsurfen, segeln, Katamaran segeln oder Kanu fahren (alles gegen Gebühr). Freunde des Weissen Sports können Tennis spielen, gegen Gebühr kann man Reiten, auch auf dem Rundparcours, und der nächstgelegene Golfplatz, Poipu Bay Golf, ist nur etwa 2,4 km vom Hotel entfernt. Gegen Gebühr können die am nahe gelegenen Sandstrand bereitgestellten Liegestühle und Sonnenschirme gemietet werden.
Verpflegung:Frische hawaiianische Zutaten und Aromen bestimmen die gehobene, moderne Küche des Red Salt. Täglich werden Frühstück und Abendessen angeboten. Mittagessen gibt es an der Poolbar oder mit dem Zimmerservice direkt auf's Zimmer. Einige Spezialgerichte sind auch vefügbar.

My husband and I went to Koa Kea for our anniversary. We love it so much,the week we came home we booked a return trip for just three months later! Our second visit was just as wonderful as the first. We don't have a single thing we would change. Our room was wonderful with all the right small details. We had room service for dinner two nights after long days out on the water. Both times our food was delivered in less than 20 minutes with all of our special requests met. The breakfast buffet was the perfect way to start the day with fresh fruits, cheeses, breads and cereal. Our final night we ate at Red Salt for dinner taking advantage of the weekend sushi night. The rolls were perfect. I had my treat at the bar: a Martini flight, my selection of three different martinis.
The staff was always smiling and quick to meet our needs. We took a late night flight home, but our check out was earlier in the day. After spending the day enjoying the beach yet again, the hotel provided a hospitality room for us to shower and freshen up prior to our flight back home. What a nice way to end our trip!
We are now planning our third trip for a this summer, taking my parents along to celebrate their 40th anniversary.
Three trips in less than a year. Need I say more?

We had an excellent stay in a 1-bedroom that was fully equipped with the exception of one item which the staff supplied within minutes. The one repair needed was also dealt with immediately.
One inconvenience was the distance to the breakfast restaurant so it was a good thing we wanted to cook for ourselves in the condo.
We must mention also the annoyance each morning of leaf blower and mower noise from the gardening work.
Other than that, it was perfect for us -- the beach is large and just steps from the door; the gardens are lovely and expansive; the laundry is well-located (if a bit expensive); there is plenty of parking at the unit; the staff are friendly and efficient.
We recommend the Kiahuna Plantation unreservedly.

Overall we had an excellent family stay here. It's located on a gorgeous beach with a park beach down the road that has a reefed-in area perfect for kids. As for the hotel, the staff were helpful and nice, and though we had just a garden view room, it was a gorgeous view and within walking distance of the beach. Next time I will request a room far away from the road, as the road noise was disturbing to our baby; and the restaurant just across the way was noisy into the night.
The condo itself was breezy and adequate; the housekeeping could have been better in the details, such as dust accumulated under furniture and a bit of a grimy-feeling old shower/tub. A couple nights we were too warm, but the fans were helpful although AC would have been welcomed. We did enjoy the lanai balcony which was safe for our toddler, with very high and close rails.
The travel desk/concierge staff were very helpful to help us plan excursions and couldn't have been nicer. We enjoyed especially the sunset sail but a word of caution...take an anti-nausea med beforehand! I'm prone to motion-sickness and forgot that detail which kind of ruined the ambiance for me!
I would stay here again, just in a unit further from the road and closer to the ocean.

We were only here one night, so it was a little pricey considering we did not take advantage of any of the resort's ammenities. The room was quite nice with decent furniture and care -- not 5 star, but didn't expect that. The location was great for getting around the island, although our unit was near the road, so quite noisy, especially the trucks early in the morning. Friendly staff.

Enjoyed a beautiful ocean view room, however when you read, beach within short walking distance, it is that. When you get to the beach it is a very small crescent rocky beach, off to your right another short walk is Poipu beach, which is larger and nicer. Now if your walking from the resort and carrying chairs and coolers it is best to take the short drive up Poipu rd to the beach, plenty of parking, life guard station, shower stations to clean off the sand after a nice time of sunbathing or snorkeling. We stayed at the Kahala units just down the road from the Aston office.

We are pleased to announce Koloa Landing at Poipu Beach has started Phase II of our multi-phased resort expansion. Construction begins Monday, November 14, 2011 and will continue through 2012. Not so much a hotel, but condos being rented out, which are part of a larger development, that is currently 50% completed. But, the units themselves are very nice (but nice enough to go for $900,000 to $3+ million?).
The unit we got was a two bedroom (which was unintentional since there were only two of us) on the ground floor. Our patio had a table and chairs, plus two lounge chairs that opened onto the large central grass area with a bit of blue ocean off in the distance. The interior was very nice, with tiled or hardwood floors outside of the bedrooms and a clean modern and pretty much brand new look. The unit had a great, modern kitchen that had a nice selection of cooking stuff, very comfortable bed and a extremely spacious master bathroom. The living room was nice and well appointed, for example, the tv setups had blue ray players. In fact, everything was pretty nice. During our stay, the place was very quiet too.
The downsides to the complex are one, that it is not on the beach. You can walk to a beach, but its not a swimming area. Also, since the complex is only half done, there is no functional bar and the store/deli closes pretty early. In short, its a great place to stay, but keep in mind that aside from the pools, you will have to drive to everything.

The poipu Kapili was great for the first few nights. A great and very clean condo. I was surprised at how spacious it was .Very nice.

Hale Kua is situated on 8 acres of a developing tropical timber arboretum.
