Although we requested a king bed through the management company, ours came with a queen and was near the road. When we tried to change units there were no better choices available from the management company. The condo cooperative was more customer friendly but does not control the units booked through this site or through the management company.

checking in was a bit inconvenient since the office was miles away but once i was 'in' my experience was great. it was clean, comfortable and secure. What a view! love the security code entry instead of keys - i even had a washer/dryer in the suite which is great in Hawaii because nothing dries overnight. The birds gave me subtle wake-up call and the sunset was spectacular from my lanai. it was quiet and comfortable.

First, don't forget to read the IMPORTANT INFO. at the bottom of your confirmation when you book here, you have to get a unit assinged at the management place, not on-site, before you can check-in (not hard to get to). My family had a good experience at this hotel. It had everything we needed. If your looking for the resort feel though, this is not the place. It was like we had our own apartment just across the street from the beach, a vacation rental is what it is. The unit came complete with a travel cooler, beach chairs and umbrella, and boogie boards making any beach trip easy. There are several nice pools for guest use with BBQ pit. We did not require staff assistance except at check-in. Don't expect maid service unless you want to pay a separate charge for it. They do provide everything you need like dish soap, detergent, linens, basic spices, & cookware. Overall, a good deal.

The condo was set up with everything we needed and was what we considered to be a perfect area for us. It was located away from all the big hotels and developments and was in a quiet area with little traffic. Everything we needed was within walking distance. A grocery store one block away and shopping and cafes a little further. Though the beach in front of the condo was not a good swimming, or surfing area, the condo provided easy access for some of the best swimming and snorkeling on the island, without the crowds. A couple of things that we would like to see corrected. First : The condo's pullout couch was broken, so we had to sleep in the hot bedroom every night with the fan on (Air does not circulate thru the units unless you leave the access door open). It would have been nice to sleep in the cooler living area, with the door open to the ocean and hear the waves. There was no recycling done at the complex. They should provide containers for that. And lastly: They should kill the five so called security lights on the ocean side of the complex. With these glaring lights only the western sky was visible. These lights provide no security and they destroy the view. I would gladly stay there again and avoid the more touristy areas of the island.

Late check in was a breeze. The best thing about unit 108 was that it was on the ground floor and ALL units are only about 30 feet from the beach. You look out your sliding glass door, or walk out it, and there's the beach, the surf, Lanai, Molokini, and that other island. The view is perfect. You can see brilliant sunsets. The beach is great for walking or sunbathing, or moon gazing. In June it's cooler in Hawaii than Atlanta! The main problem with the units is that those whose main bedroom is the first room you enter from the parking lot, ours was, it's safe to assume most are, gets all of the morning sun. In June sunrise if 5:30 am. Our unit was in serious need of "Black out" curtains. Many units don't have but one air conditioner and it's in the west side of the condo. It's difficult to get the bedroom as cool as the rest of the place. Our unit had a ceiling fan which we left running 24/7. It did a fair job of cooling us. The grocery store (Ward's)? is a short stroll around the corner. The barber shop is next to the grocer. The barbers are women. You need to be very specific when ordering a haircut. Don't use their number system. Tell them in inches how much hair you want left.

Enjoyable from day of arrival to departure. The staff was very pleasant.

Our condo was everything we needed and more! This paritcular unit had been updated and was extremely well equipped. The only drawback to the unit was the icky pocketdoor in the bathroom(they NEVER work well no matter how well they are installed). The clothes dryer ventalation is routed into the bathroom, which made it uncomfortably warm. Hopefully this will be remedied in the near future. We were delighted with the staff friendliness, until the last day. The cleaning crew attempted to barge in ten minutes after the scheduled check out time(we were in error of the time and were in the process of changing our clothes to get out the door) she continued to push her way in all the time declaring that we were past check out time, even though we told her that we were hurrying and were undressed.

Would not let us in one minute before 3pm. Once there the view was spectacular, but the unit needs a lot of work. Curtains had major rips. Dishes were mismatched and chipped. Air conditioner extremely loud. Beautiful new flat screen TVs. Landscaping was impeccable, Georgeous views from lanai. Would return if there was a more updated unit available.

We found this condo very comfortable and nicely decorated. Everything we needed was right there for our use. The setting was lovely and location was perfect for the beach, shopping and good food. We stayed ten days and loved it there. We plan to go back again and will definitely be staying there. It was perfect for us.

1) We really enjoy to stay at this condo. It has everything we wish for. Full kitchen is great ... just bring your food, spices, and do your own cooking. They even have the clean gas grill outside ready for you to use (free and many of them around the pool). The condo we stay also have beach mats, surf boards, and beach chairs for usage (free of charge). 2) Washer and Dryer are a plus. This allow us to bring less clothes and more gift home. 3) Dishwasher saved us time to clean up after each meals. 4) My condo even provide the portable water filter pitcher to distill the water for drinking/cooking. It works great. This will save money on the water bottle. 5) They have the in-room cable Internet (free of charge) It is great place to stay. Strongly recommended. Wishing List: 1) to have Wireless Internet in-room, just in case Ethernet port broken. 2) To have plasma and/or LCD TV 3) Bigger TV in the bedroom (right now it has 12" TV which is too small)

We loved the Maui Hill condo! so beautiful and accommodations wonderful! They were a bit stingy with bath products - only 2 lotions and shampoos all week - so bring your own! But otherwise very nice here!We had lovely times, very special place, definitely 4 or even 5 stars! yeah, we WILL be back! Ma halo! The Ballards

The staff was very friendly and well managed. I had to take care of some unexpected business and the front desk was very helpful. Very picturesque and located to so many fine restaurants from across the street on down into Wailea.

First you have to understand that this is not a fancy 5-star resort with marble walls, ancient statues and lots of bling. Once you realize that you will love this resort. It's ON THE BEACH, it is in a very nice town of Kihei with easy accessibility to awesome restaurants and other entertainment. It's minutes away from other beaches and the best dive shop on the island (Ed Robinson's Diving). The condo we had was spacious, had a nice modern LCD TV, free internet (so you can watch Netflix through your laptop) and was decently clean. The resort also has grills that are awesome for late night grilling while enjoying starry ocean view. Would recommend to anyone who doesn't require fancy $500/night hotel resorts.

My husband and I booked our honeymoon just 2 weeks prior to the wedding. It was honestly the last thing on our minds. We books the Maui Banyon as a recommendation from a friend of a friend of a friend kind of situation and we really had no expectations going in except for a standard cheep hotel room with a bed and maybe a small fridge. To our great surprise and delight, we opened the door to a home away from home. It literally felt like our apartment back at home with a bit of a stereotypical Hawaiian feeling. Yeh, the decor and furniture was a bit cheesy, but that was kind of charming in a way and more than anything, we loved having all of the space. We stayed for 9 nights and the ability to run to the grocery store and cook a few meals on our own was a fantastic amenity. I hate going on long vacations sometimes simply because you eat out for EVERY meal. It was so nice to be able to cook a few meals on our own and just relax and enjoy the hotel room. So often people book a hotel room and the only reason you have for going into the room is for sleeping. I love the fact that we could spend some time in the room and sit down for a meal. I would never do that in a standard hotel room. And although we didn't utilize the blu ray player or the PS2 console, it's a great addition that we thought would be great for a family. I'll definitely remember this place as a go-to for any of my future trips to Maui. I did notice that the rooms are condos that the owners sublet so the rooms could very well vary drastically in decor and amenities since all of the furniture, decor and kitchen utensils/appliances/bake ware/etc. were purchased by the owner, not the hotel. The hotel provides the standard room service and they make your bed with fresh linens, clean up the immediate messes, empty the trash and refresh the bathroom towels. For what we experienced though with our specific condo, we loved it so it's definitely worth checking out another room in the complex that may have a totally different feeling to it. Overall, we loved it and would recommend it to anyone looking for a more spacious broken in home feeling with a bit of cheesy tourist charm. Great for families and a good value. 5 minute walk to the beach, several yummy restaurants [Fred's Mexican, Cafe O Lei (Really good drinks and fusion food. A little pricier, but worth it.) and even a Denny's if you're dying for mainland mainstream], a few small clothing retailers, gift shops and Ice Cream for the kids. It is at the very bottom of Kihei so your walk is a one way trip to the right if you want to get any shopping done. Probably helps keep the cost down, but we didn't mind the location since practically everything on the island is a 1 hour or less drive away, with the exception of driving around the eastern side of Haleakala (Road to Hana).

The condo is in a great location and the pool at the condo is a great break away from the sand all the time. The H building is the best an the view is beautiful I love that they offer a complimentary room for after you check out at noon for an hour to clean up before departing this is a wonderful option. We are not familiar with resort costs but I thought it was reasonable priced.

The hotel offered all the usual amenities- wifi , plenty of parking,easily accessible washer and dryer,etc. The room had better than average furnishings and though the hotel was very busy the surrounding noise in the building was quite quiet. The location of the hotel was across the street from a beach, about 20 minutes to OGG airport and about 30 minutes from Front Street in Lahaina (a popular tourist shopping area).

It is annoying that there is a $17 per day fee added to the hotel rate. Why is this not included in the package deal. At least the internet connection was not additional.

Very nice Condo, great oceanview from 2nd floor and a super walking beach.(not great surf/swim). Our condo had everything we needed except maybe a few beach chairs to use and an ice chest to take on trips(cheap to rent at location)(and bed was uncomfortable). Good location to travel all over island and into town, except no restaurants to walk too, but nice 'Sand Witch' bar and deli on site. Pool was cool, had dry sauna, lots of lounge chairs so you don't have to sit close to someone( I like some space)

Our unit was very comfortable and clean. The only exception were some dishes (easy to fix) and towels (good that we took one of our own). The location was perfect for us, because we could easily drive to all major attractions (Hana, Haleakala, the South Kihei & Makena beaches, Lahaina...) without any traffic bottlenecks. It's not so good if you want to spend all day on the beach, because Sugar beach is not great for swimming (some rocks in the sand, short beach), and you'll drive to South Kihei all the time probably. Sugar beach is perfect for long peaceful walks, though. Bottomline, a car is a must.

We stayed for 9 days and enjoyed every bit of it. The putting green was a big hit with our 12 year old son, the hot tub was perfect at the end of a long beach or hiking day! The staff was super helpful and accommodating! Mahalo!

This condo is in a great location on Maui, close to just about everything. This is a homey, comfortable place. We had a one bedroom unit with a king size bed plus a large fold-out sofa bed. We had just about everything we needed - tennis equipment, snorkel gear, binoculars, lawn chairs, etc. plus a well-stocked kitchen. We were in unit 102 which was on the ground floor. We would have preferred to be up a few floors, but this was still a great unit. Wonderful sunsets every night and a great show every afternoon when the sailboarders and kite sailors showed up. Friendly staff on hand during the day and a handy laundry area right by our unit. Tennis courts nearby in the park and plenty of room to throw a fribee. Small pool, but wasn't a big deal to us. Our best dinner was just down the road at the 808 Bistro. Got there before 6:00 and had an excellent dinner for $25 each. We also did the Flyin' Hawaiian zipline tour which we all really enjoyed. Also went on the Snorkel tour to Molokini with Pride of Maui. Quite a disappointment as we never even went to Molokini and the other stops we made didn't have much to look at. Tried the snuba, OK for two of the four of us. We had much better snorkeling at the local parks by our condo. We wouldn't spend the money again on a tour in the future. Hiked down the volcano which was a great experience. Warning: it was quite cold when we got to the top which is about 10,000 feet. Layer warm clothing - too cold for shorts! We also drove to Hana then hiked up to a spectacular waterfall in the National Park. We visited Lahaina several times and really enjoyed the shave ice at Uluani's (the best!)- small place tucked away on the shore side of the main street.

Wonderful location in Kihei. Great expansive view across public park lawn to ocean. this is the area of Kihei for wind surfers and kite surfers, so you could be constantly entertained watching them from the deck. Tennis courts also available in large city park in front of us. Unit was clean, lots of cooking utensils, small and quiet. Very relaxing place to stay. Only negative was their gas barbecue was filthy. We ended up buying a small charcoal unit, although I believe management did clean the barbecue after we mentioned it to them. This is a great place at this price.

My two daughters and I had a wonderful time in Kehei, Maui. The unit was older but well cared for and had a full kitchen and amenities. The location was great, the staff were wonderful, and you have never seen a more beautiful grounds then this resort. We were close to wonderful shopping, beautiful beaches, and great snorkeling locations. We even went to a luau that was a short drive away and had a wonderful show.

Kihei was the best option for us because was close by to everything, there are stores and shopping centers close by as well as good restaurants. The beach close by are good and beautiful beaches are close by just 15-20 min driving. Just 20 min from airport. The condo was good, is basically a furnished apartment all things are include like towels, blanket and kitchen tools. In our unit there was washer and dryer, and also a lot of things to use in the beach like googles, chairs and other supplies. It was clean and well maintain, each building have there own pool, parking was pretty good we have no problem to find parking at all. Overall for us was a great and affordable option.

Property was well maintained. Excellent dining within walking distance. Scuba diving was great (Recommend Scuba Schack). Only glitch was not having front desk after 5pm. Need to call and get room combination number.

The room itself was okay. No maid service and we found to be the only complaint. Great location right across from a good beach and snorkeling area. Walk to some places to eat and shop.

We had a great time in Maui -- snorkeling, boogie boarding and being at the beach. The kids loved the pool at the resort. The beaches were awesome as we went to several of them. Shopping in Wailea was alot of fun as was the local marketplace in Kihei. The luau we went to was well done and better than the one we had seen previously. I was disappointed in the room amenities-- other condos had boogie boards, beach towels,etc to use. We had to bring or rent all of that. I would definitely pay more money a night to stay in a more kept up condo.

Trip started off bumpy and arrived at 1:30am local time. The staff left instructions at the registration desk and a number to call to check in. Phone was answered graciously at that hour. All we wanted to do was fall into bed. We were allowed to check in the following day. The ONLY complaint about our room is that it was listed with a sofa bed and there was a large sectional sofa that I guess COULD be used as a second bed, but when I alerted the mgmt office, they sent over a queen size aero bed. Did not require us to be on premises for delivery and were apologetic. EVERYTHING we could want was in the room - condiments in the fridge, cooler, beach mats, snorkel gear, beach towels, handy beach bag. Could have been closer to mid-town, but not too remote. Very nice for the price! 11/2011 Nov is VERY WINDY in Kehei. Few food stops open on holidays (Thanksgiving).

We have chosen this condos for its great rating. We have chosen codes with 'Ocean view' and stayed there for 6 days. Location is great, you can feel like on the ocean shore. Territory is green and clean + there are a number of places to have dinner/lunch in 5 minutes walk distance.

Great location (across from nice beach), walking distance to shops and restaurants, beautiful grounds, very good value. Would come here again!

The resort was very modest compared to many other resorts in Maui, but the location was a great centralized jumping off point to activities all over the island and the prices weren't as high as many of the other resorts. If you're going to spend a lot of time on the beach, it would be better to head to a resort North of Kihei, but if you're just looking for a decent place to stay while you're exploring Maui, this is a good pick.

This hotel was very casual - great for families that are looking to go to very expensive Maui on a budget. They were very friendly and welcomed our little one, although not in the small rooms. You have to get a condo if you have children. It's right on the most beautiful beach! The pool is small but lovely. The restaurant had good happy hours - great Mai Tais. You can book activities and luaus. Overall we loved it.

The hotel room (as opposed to the condo room (they can be rented as a suite) was pretty small--two twins pushed together, a small desk, and two chairs. Also I found trash under the bed. The view is gorgeous: the beach, the palms, the waves, the pool. I liked the lobby--unually pretty lamps and artwork. The Five Palms (the restaurant in the hotel) was very romantic--especially at sunset. The wait staff easily took care of several large parties. The deli and store, Zach's, was handy.

Nice location, beach across the street, stores and restaurants close by.... fun sharing the BBQ's next to each pool as we met interesting people each evening... accommodation varies depending on unit updating but all seem more than adequate.... yes, we will return....

Very close to beach. Unit had fun beach equipment for us to use. Good pool. Walking distant to restuarants. Although the unit was listed as a garden view, we had a view of the ocean also. On the downside, the street was very NOISY. I did not sit on the balcony much because of this. At night you still could hear lots of traffic due to the slat style windows.
