My wife and I visit Lafayette at least three times a year, dropping off, picking up, or just visiting our daughter who attends Purdue. We've found this hotel to be much more convenient to the campus and much nicer than the other hotels or motels, most of which are out near the I65/South State interchange. The staff is friendly, the rooms are clean, and the hotel itself is thoroughly up-to-date; it has the appearance of being completely new. We don't stay anwhere else now.

Room was very nice, and the cleanliness was very good. It was not a noisy hotel at all, so made a peaceful trip. The included breakfast was below mediocre. The hotel itself was very nice!

Everything was nice, staff was very helpful and friendly. Room was clean and comfortable. Unfortunately, free breakfast was not vegan friendly (there were no vegetables that I can remember and only cow milk to go with cereal). Otherwise it's a nice and conveniently located place to stay.

We were pleased with our stay at this hotel. True, the hotel is a bit dated and our standard room not massive by any means, but it was decent and clean. The hotel has a lovely lobby and a really nice indoor pool that my kids had all to themselves one Sunday morning. The staff was polite and professional and we had no issues with our room. It was very quiet and the beds were very comfortable. We looked out over the parking lot (first floor with sliding door makes loading bags upon departure super easy!) and could see the interstate - no noise issues at all. It was a football weekend at Purdue and every place was booked and real pricey - we got a good deal online, so that was great. I am not a great sleeper all the time in hotels, but it was nice and quiet and the bed comfortable that I did sleep really well. I have been in newer hotels that were very loud and just looked cheaply constructed - this was better. There are a ton of options in the area - this was fine for us. I speak for my wife and kids when I say we would stay again without hesitation.

There was nothing that I didn't like about the room or the building it was as advertized. Just a simple room no frills. And that just what I wanted I stayed there for the price and the previous reviews. I was pleased with the room, the staff was friendly and the AC worked. No complaints from me. So if your looking for the best value for your buck and to me that means clean, cheap and has a working AC the Red Roofs the ticket.

Sleepless, spiders through out the room and hole burn marks in blankets in a non smoking room. Also the night counter person was rude and did not really care about taking care of are situation of the noisy refrigerator.We also were in a handicap room where every time we showered the floor would be soaked,the wife would of rather had a bath tub. The reservations never said there was no tub,offered another room but it was after we complained . Unfortunately it was a smoking room,we reserved a non smoking room!!!

For the price , it was a decent hotel. I liked that the room had a microwave , small frig and coffee . The tv was placed on top of the coat wardrobe and could only be seen by one side of the room. Tv was up too high! Another problem , was the sink only had scoulding hot water , so we had to use the bathtube faucet to brush teeth. Left before breakfast so not sure if it was any good.

Came here to visit my son at Purdue. I didn't book my hotel til last minute and when the only thing they had that wasn't booked up in town was the Quality Inn I was a little nervous it would be motel-ish. It wasn't. It was nice. Staff was very friendly. Had a great time and was very close to his house.

I spend most of my life in and out of hotels as a living (126 nights in hotels this year so far), so I have lots of experience with both bad and good hotels. I would say this hotel falls in my "Average hotel" category, not anything really bad but no "wow this was super" kind of moments either. The breakfast was good, it had more options than normal. The room was in decent shape, nothing really wrong with it. Having a microwave and fridge in ever room is always a nice touch and handy when you have leftovers. Pillows are kind of soft, but the beds were comfy and the blankets were good. All in all I would stay here again.

Not bad for the costs. The "non-smoking" room had a not-so-lovely faint smell of cigarette - complete with burn marks on the vanity and, gasp, the toilet seat, but was livable.
Other than that issue, the room was fine. Staff were pleasant, the bed reasonably comfortable, overall the room was clean. The free breakfast buffet was typical - waffle maker, okay coffee, sugary cereal, nothing too healthy but the fruit and oat meal.
I couldn't get the treadmill in the exercise room to work so I had a run around the retail complex adjacent to the hotel.
Overall, not too bad - I'd stay here again.

This was a very nice hotel for the value. Every staff person we encountered was friendly and helpful and the continental breakfast offered just a bit extra. Roomy hotel corridors and comfortable rooms. Would stay again.

We had hoped to stay on campus but Candlewood Suites was the only hotel that allowed pets. We never travel without our Furfriends. We had to take a taxi to and from campus and that was expensive but well worth it. Our room was very clean and spacious and the bed was comfortable. I can be very picky when it comes to lodging and I was very impressed. The only reason I wouldn't recommend the hotel is if you are wanting to be near campus.

We were visiting Purdue. It was close enough and plenty of food choices in the area. The price was right, the breakfast was decent and the room was clean. All we needed.

We were in Lafayette, IN for a wedding. We stayed here a couple of years ago and liked it so much, we passed on the "block of rooms" down the road and stayed here again. Love the two separate rooms. My husband gets up earlier than I and it's nice for him to be able to go into the living room and watch TV while I sleep. We'll definately stay here again.

I had driven by Homewood Suites Lafayette many times and didn't give it much thought. When it became necessary for me to drive half the trip to avoid an ice storm, Homewood Suites was my Valhalla. When I walked into my room, I was overwhelmed by the amenities...livingroom/dining/kitchen with nice furnishings, a huge bedroom with a king bed, and a more-than-ample bathroom. There was an overhead ceiling fan in the bedroom and another in the living area. Had it been warm weather, I would have checked out what was on the other side of the patio door. However, as I was exhausted and it was extremely cold outside, I simply pulled the drapes and ignored it. The entire place was immaculate, and the bed was decked out with a down comforter, a large assortment of pillows, wonderful sheets, and a beautiful blanket that felt like lamb's wool. The television in the living area made it feel just like home and the one in the bedroom made it feel like vacation! Had I had my laptop, the free WiFi would have been great. It was the end of my Christmas shopping, and I had a wonderful supper at one of the nearby restaurants. The breakfast the following morning was nicely presented and tasted like home! I am definitely going back with my husband for a weeknight away from home!

This hotel was very ordinary. There was nothing special about the accommodations, and no special amenities, however the room was adequate for our needs and comfortable. The room was mostly clean, but the knob on the heater was broken, so it was hard to turn the heat on. The beds were comfortable. The staff was friendly. There was no continental breakfast or shampoo in the room. Overall, better than I expected, though I would definitely call it a "no-frills" experience. Oh, and bring your own hair dryer.
