Hotel except for lobby was dirty-mildew on all windows, rust in pool area, french fries left on floor in upstairs hallway by pool the entire stay. Continental breakfast was not fresh, no hot water for oatmeal, juice machine was broken. Air conditioner hardly worked in the room-but they did bring a floor fan. The first room we were in my wife couldn't get out of the bathroom because the doorknob was stuck-but they did move us. The front desk people were always nice, though.

We had a good time, returned to the room and everyone was very nice and friendly. The room was clean and the air conditioner was already on waiting for us. The only bad thing we noticed was the hotel had a bad smell in the lobby and halls.

Pros: The lobby was clean and nice, if a little dated looking. The staff was friendly and courteous. The room was clean and quiet. They have a pool. The bar was nice. Cons: The whole place looks as if it has seen better days, very dated looking throughout. The indoor pool was freezing cold.

The room was nice. The heater warmed the room up quickly on the cold day. We had fun swimming in the pool.

I selected this hotel based on price and it met my expectations. Everything was acceptable, but not outstanding.

We checked in and the room was great with king size bed. We came back after supper and went to bed. The mechanical noise was so loud we could not sleep. I called the front desk and they said they would have maintenance check on the noise. We waited 45 minutes with no reply. I called the front desk and [...] said he just came on duty and was not aware of the problem. They moved us to another room which had a regular size bed, no bathtub, and was not as nice as the other room.The next morning I checked with the front desk and they said they were sorry and would make a refund[...]

The staff wasn't overly helpful, but still friendly. The whirlpool was large, new and great. The pool was large enough and clean & plenty of towels,chairs and space available. Basketball goals are there for play. The chlorine smell you have a some large pool places like this wasn't bad at all here. A small and nice seperate pool & area is available for younger children. The slides still aren't working, it does look like work is being done though. A wall blocks off the work site. The rooms are pretty average and mine was clean-has microwave. Bathroom is above average. TV is maybe 25", lots of channels. Internet is free. The AC was loud, but I like "white" noise anyway. Contenental breakfast had cereal,muffins,french toast and biscuits and gravy. Nice lobby. Good stay.

The staff was the best ever everyone that worked at the Grand Prarie was helpful and courteous. I have nothing but great things to say about the staff. Lots of plumbing issues in our room toilet then sink then toilet again. There was no room for any personal toiletry items in the bathroom The room smelled like bug spray everytime we entered With 2 beds in the room there was no room for the table and chairs in the room. The TV reception was awful. The Odossey atrium needs to be heated and the lights should be turned off in the Atrium sooner than midnight. Contentinal Breakfast needs something more than waffels, Brewed coffee would help a lot instant coffee just doesn't do well. Our previous stays at the Grand Prarie were much better we hope this was a fluke.

The room was pretty clean,but it was extremely noisy at night. We called to ask for extra pillows, which they stated they had none. Only bad thing about stay was we received a bill for the amount of hotel plus taxes. I'm fine with paying the taxes but no one could actually explain where my money went to reserve the room. As of right now the money is gone from my credit card and I'm biting my nails waiting for another 193.00 charge to show up and push me over my credit limit. So, this hotel does not work like most where you check in and room is already paid for by credit card and due to this fact I will never stay here again. I;m tight with my finances and don't really enjoy not having control of what charges are going to suprise me on my next bill.

I felt the 9AM cutoff for the free continental breafast of Sunday Morning was a bit early.
