This motel was a horror. The room was dirty and nasty. The floor had trash and debre on it. The room had a bad odor, the shower curtain and tub had black spots all in it. I went the manager and they said they do not allow smoking in the room and offered to put air freshner in the room. If I were you I would not use this motel ever unless you like living in dirt. [...] It was a horrible experience. I ended up having to pay out of pocket at another hotel.

The room we had was nicely furnished and appeared to have been recently painted and carpeted. Bedding was nice and room was comfortable.

The staff was friendly and the check in was easy enough and i was able to bring my dog, but the room was not what i was expecting at all. The rooms were not clean, there was chipped paint every where, we were almost affaid to use the toliet and the shower. The mat in the shower was dingey and looked like it had not beed cleaned. The walls were aweful. It just was not a pleasent experience. The smell in the room was not a good on either. How ever when we were out the next morning they came in and made up our beds and brought up in clean towels. That was nice and you could tell the towels were clean. The pool area needed some attention. Some weed pulling and refinishing, but other than that it was ok. There was no loud music to keep us up all night or any thing!

There were 7 rooms reserved for our family and we played table games in the kitchen area. It was very
small, but we were determined to have a good time.

Nothing special, standard super 8 motel. Small romms, small bathroom. Did have in room coffee though.
Beschreibung
Apple Tree Inn and Suites is located downtown in Independence Kansas. The property is one block from the main shopping district. All the guest needs are within walking distance. The Inn is also located across the street from the local movie theater, Historical Museum, fast food restaurants, sports bars and very elite restaurants. The Inn has an indoor pool and two hot tubs. A full breakfast buffet is offered each morning from 630 am until 930 am. Each room is very comfortable with all the necessities such as irons, ironing boards, hairdryers, refrigerators and microwaves and all are non-smoking. The building also has wireless Internet available 24 hours a day. The building is very secure with security cameras located where needed. All rooms have interior entrances. All exterior doors are accessible with room keys only. There are rooms with king size beds, two double beds, handicap rooms along with three levels of suites. The executive suites have hot tubs in the rooms for honeymooners or people just needing some relaxing time alone.

Made last minute plans due to a funeral. Staff was over-accommodating for all our needs. We brought our dog and that was no problem either.
Rooms were MUCH cleaner than other hotels we stayed at in Independence, KS in the past. No smoke smells, breakfast was good, water pressure was great
Hotel was walking distance to restaurants, retail, the funeral home and government offices. There is a movie theater across the street.
Has very nice (smaller) pool and two hot tubs.
walk mounted flat screen in the rooms a nice touch.
The Free Wi-fi worked but signal strength was poor.
Parking lot well lit and within site of front desk.
Our stay was mid-week so it felt like we had the whole place to ourselves.
