A Pit !!!!!!!
RUde staff, filthy rooms.Towels were still from pprevious occupant, just folded and re hung on rack.My Guests checked out and went elsewhere, I cancelled my reservation before I got there to meet them....dirty sheets, looked like spooge stains.

LOOKS CAN BE DECEIVING
The staff was friendly...We were disappointed in the hotel condition due to lack of upgrade/updating.. Hair left in the bathtub was not appealing... Price was reasonable for lower end hotel on non-peak day..I would not want pay their peak/weekend rates because of the condition of the hotel..

What I did not like
Did not like the fact that the hotel manager would not grant me credit because I wanted to check out a day early. Was there for my daughter's softball team playing at nationals and they lost, so we did not need the room the last day. Called Orbitz and talked to manager (what a jerk). I guess in the future, I will not book through Orbitz if checking out early is an option.

Think About It
The desk was not always manned. The electrical sockets needed to be replaced. My wife and daughter said "we better rethink this" when they saw the entryway and windows. The building in and out had the aire of a rental property that has been repainted and repaired numerous times. The hall carpets were very stained. The recommended Denny's next door looked like it had been in a hail storm several years ago and never repaired. The rooms were clean.

Excellent Choice
The hotel is great! Everyone on staff was friendly and helpful. The pool was great, laundry facilities were appreciated and the breakfast is terrific (and a big money-saver with a family).

Short drive from hotel
It's only 20 minutes, or so, to drive to the 18th & Vine area to visit the Negro League Museum and the American Jazz Museum (located in the same building). Both are well worth the drive and admission.
