There was mold in the bath tub and the furniture was worn. The staff was very friendly when I asked them to clean the mold, and they cleaned most of, but not all of it. I would probably try the Lamplighter next time to see if I like it better. On the plus side, the hotel was conveniently located across the street from Wal Mart.

I do not stay in motels very often, but there was a serious shortage of rooms in Carthage and Joplin, MO. It was a clean place to stay. Customer service was a plus. Of course the bed and recliner weren't very comfortable, but they were sufficient.

The hotel was okay, nothing fancy, kinda old. Not necessarily super clean, but not visually dirty.
We did end up with a microwave and refrigerator in the room which was nice. The location is right on the main drag of the town. There were several places to eat within walking distance.
I was meeting up with friends cycling across the country on the TransAmerica Trail. The hotel offers a discount for cyclists, so I would call ahead and see if you can get this discount.

This hotel was easy to find, had a great showerhead (adjustable) with good water pressure, and had a good selection for the hot breakfast. The only con was that the TV did not get very good reception on several stations. I would stay there again.

Our hotel was most enjoyable and very quiet at night which made for excellent sleep. Hotel is located within the major attractions of the city and the hotel staff was excellent and friendly.

When my 10 year old grandson walked in he said "Now this is luxury". The room was spacious which is a must with a 5 & 10 year old. The complimentary breakfast was very good and had a wide variety of foods available. We did have a problem with the online reservation but the young man at the desk had it resolved very quickly.

The room was clean, the beds comfy, the staff very accomodating. Didn't have time to use the pool or hottub, but was clean. The hot breakfast is great, waffles, eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy. We use it every time we go to PSU.

I must admit I was apprehensive about booking this hotel with no reviews. Upon arrival the hotel was small and quaint, but check-in was fast and friendly. When we got to the room I was amazed... the room was large and clean, and even smelled new.
The bed was comfortable, even a chair and a desk.
The breakfast was good, no problems at check-out. Overall a very pleasant stay, would recommend this hotel to anyone!
