The staff was very friendly,helpful and polite. I am going up for 7 days this summer to visit family and I will stay at the same hotel, if I do not stay with family.

I really enjoyed my stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Room cleaned, I will be recommending this hotel to others and when I decide to go on another getaway, this hotel will be definitely at the top of the list, to go to relax and enjoy

We were there for family reunion and we decided to stay together. To out dismay, the place was FULL of teenage sport teamS. At check-in we were offered a "choice" of staying on a supposedly quieter floor (all floors were full of teenagers in packs) and sign a "no party policy". The pool and elevators were constantly full with teenagers, no staff or chaperones to correct them. We managed to sleep in the quiet only to wake up at 2am with girls running/giggling/screaming down the hallway. We complained but we never heard anyone coming to tell them anything (what happened to the no party policy?) The intermittent running seemed to last until 5-6am. We only slept on and off... In the morning we didn't get an apology, WE had to mention the incidence and I reminded them about their #1 satisfaction guarantee ad.(other people apparently complained the noise on the 2nd floor) [...] All in all, the staff was friendly, courteous, helpful (quickly brought a shaving cream). But we were unhappy that nothing was really done to stop "the party" and our sleep was deprived. The room was very comfortable and clean. Bed was nice, carpet was nice, everything clean. Returning home, we contacted them, we received a complimentary night (valid for the next 3 months since our stay)with little argument. It was unfortunate because our daughters really enjoyed the pool and the room, but we were sleep deprived (imagine driving sleep deprived with children aboard; not a good idea) Nice hotel, street had Dunkin Donuts and other chain restaurants. But I'll make sure there's no teenager sport stuff next time.....or maybe stay at Hampton Inn nearby (has breakfast, better beds to fit 4 people; we stayed here to be close with family, booked 1 hour before for that reason) Expensive sleep deprived night with no breakfast.

When I looked at the advertisement for the hotel it said it was in front of a lake. Well...NO LAKE. Then my room was suppose to be a little larger. Well....NOT LARGER AT ALL. I was suppose to have a sofa in my room. Well..you guess it...NO SOFA. I was so upset I left a little earlier then I was suppose too. [...]

Could not ask for a better location. Close to family and friends. Free wifi and internet hookups. Will stay from now on.

When we travel with our child we need separate rooms so she can go to bed earlier than we do. The suite with doors that close between the bedroom and sitting room is ideal. And our daughter loves having her own TV with her own remote control. The extra elbow room that comes with a suite comes in handy, too, when you are trying to negotiate three people with six suitcases in the morning.

we had good time during our one week stay all hotel's personales smile at you and we were treated excellent by every one there.

Well, the only thing I would complain is that I can hear the guy watching TV in my neighboring room at night.

This place was really great and worthy to stay if they had a decent internet (WiFi) service. I hardly got the internet in my room and have to use my phone to search for places and check my mails. Other than that this place is really worth your money to stay.

Staff was very friendly and willing to assist. Room was very comfortable and clean. I will return next visit.

For the money it's a great hotel! The hotel is a little hard to find. It's pushed back pretty far from the main road..thats really the only minor issue I had. The room was a nice size and the bathroom was huge. By far the biggest one in a hotel i've ever seen. It was very clean and comfortable. The bed was small (my fault for not getting a gueen). I checked out pretty early in the morning so I didn't see what the breakfast was like and the pool was closed (winter) so I didn't use that either. The man who checked me in was very polite and friendly..no problems there. All in all for the one night stay it was worth the money! I'd stay there again if needed.

We were in Warren to visit relatives. The location was excellent, the room was big, clean and neat. The pool was open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Wish it would have opened around 8 a.m. and closed at 11 or 12.

Comfort Suites in Warren offers large, clean, and comfortable rooms that I would say are an good to excellent value. This is an industrial or at least commercial blue collar area of town located on the service road beside 696 just north of the I-75 interchange. It is not an attractive location but it is a convenient one. It seems like a safe area and access was good to and from the hotel to where I needed to go in the Northern Suburbs of Detroit. I thought the room size was good - it had a sofa, table, desk, and queen sized bed. The bathroom area is divided into two - a sink area outside of the commode and bath/shower room, so it didn't feel cramped. I didn't notice any smokiness smell in the room, although the hallways were a bit smokey. The pool area wasn't very nice, the breakfast room area alright and a hot breakfast was available for no charge, and the lobby/desk acceptable. An added plus was that WSJs and local major newspapers were available for guests in the lobby each morning. Compared to many motels and hotels I've stayed at recently I would rate it as 3 stars and above average, and definitely a very good value relative to the $70 / night I paid, including taxes.

My husband and I were on a business trip to Canada and unexpectedly had to spend an extra night in Detroit. The choices in hotels, LOCATIONS, as well as the reviews, were not very comforting at all (especially if you had drove around town a little). We took a chance and found an amazing deal at the Red Roof Inn (in Warren) and the reviews didn't seem as bad as most, so we booked it. The price was unbelieveable!! When we arrived to check in, the office staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We were quickly directed to our room and to our amazement, the room was perfect!! It was clean and even the carpet was great and you could feel comfortable walking around in socks (as opposed to having to leave your shoes on)! The bathroom looked like it had just been completely redone, as the floor was brand new - also extremely clean. Everything worked and it even had a safe for valuables! It was a great stay and the price was even better! I think if we ever visit Detroit again, this may be the one of the ONLY hotels we stay in!! I would highly recommend it to anyone!

Very friendly staff and clean facility. Continental breakfast was great; however, if you are bothered by outside entrance to your room...this is not the place for you.

There was no pool, the bed was like sleeping on the floor, they had a sign posted thet they had weekley rates of 119.00 per week,more then double what we paid. when they cleaned the room they didn't empty the trash. The drive was full of pot holes.

This hotel was not clean! When I arrived, I pulled the covers back and found several hairs in the bed. As I pulled up the mattress, I found a lot of dirt and dead bugs. After I washed my hands, I found a flea on the soap I had just used. The room next to mine had a door that wouldn't shut. The people had to SLAM it 3 or 4 times before it would shut! I will NOT stay there ever again!

Had to request soap for the bath room and shower. Room had a used bar of soap. Coffee maker did not brew. plugged filter. No one available at 8 p.m. to replace the coffee maker. No apology.

Hard time for everyone in the area and this hotel had signs of their own hard times. They did have a heart in what they were doing. But not doing much business.

I really enjoyed my stay here for four nights. I called the hotel the day of arrival to remind them that I would not be checking in until 1am and they said they'd be waiting. When I got to the hotel at 1:30am the front desk clerk was expecting me and had my keys ready. My room already had the heater on! The best part is the roominess and the comfy bed. It's not the best bed in the world, but it's certainly comfy, the duvet comforter was not the best but very comfy and warm, and the pillows were AWESOME. My room was clean and was cleaned well each day. I appreciated the little things: the great pillows and comforter, the extra lap tray for using my laptop in bed, the microwave and mini-fridge, and extra cups. The bathroom was very clean, which I can be picky about. The towels were sufficient, good sized, and plentiful. The daily breakfast, as others stated, was more than enough for the value. A waffle maker, a few cases of a variety of muffins and breakfast pastries, six types of cereal, three choices of coffee, juice, water, fruit, and a hot bar that wasn't spectacular, but every day had an egg product: scrambled or VERY basic omlette, a meat item: sausage or bacon, and a sweet item: pancakes or french toast sticks. I LOVE breakfasts like that. I don't expect a restaurant meal, but I love having the options...this satisfied that want. There are also about 10 tables to sit around. I understand that Monday-Wed they offer nightly dinners for free to guests already in house. I didn't take advantage of this, so I don't know about it. It's not the best of locations for cool stuff to do, but it is definitely a nice quiet safe area and there are amenities like shopping and dining nearby, and it's a short 3 minute drive to 696 which will get you anywhere! It was great for my house hunting, since I was looking at Royal Oak and St. Clair Shores, and this was a perfect in-between. We move from Texas to Michigan next month. If for some reason we arrive before our house is ready or family comes to visit and want to stay in a hotel, I will definitely recommend this hotel.

The room I was given was nice. It was clean and comfortable. Some of the common areas weren't as inviting, and I did not like that the only ice available was in the freezer of the refrigerator in the room. Overall, however, I think I received good value for the price paid, and I would consider staying again if I return to that area.

I stayed here for almost 3 weeks, and thought the value was great. Bed very comfortable. Nice to have a Free Laundry area to use. Pantry well stocked! Front Desk Staff was very accommodating! Would highly recommend & will stay here again. Only complaint was in the evenings Internet service is EXTREMELY slow.. and they told me they are aware of this & trying to work on it.

I was at this hotel for 2 days for my exam and this place is very quiet and clean. Love this place.

Convenient to GM, cheaper than the one next door, but cleaner and better beds and towels!

The hotel staff was very accomadating,very friendly. The hotel was TERRIBLE. The carpet was all wet near the bathroom which created a terrible stench. We had to change rooms. The towels are terrible. There were long black hairs on my pillow case. Yuck. It is time for an overhaul of this place.

I wish I didn't have to write a bad review but the fact is the room smelled, the room was dirty (carpets, bathrooms), we had to ask for toliet paper and towels, the internet was horrible (couldn't stay connected online) and no phone to call the office to request (we had to walk to another building to get what we needed). Location was okay, not very easy to get to. The breakfast was a joke, we had to go to a restaurant across the street.

I had a "non-smoking" room that smelled like it had been a smoking room at some point & had never been properly cleaned. It was very stuffy & musty & the windows are not a type you can open so if you want "fresh" air you have to crack the door. The amenities are basically none, there was a TV in the room, but no clock radio and wi-fi is not free.
