Lodge of the Ozarks

The hotel was okay, but not what I thought it would be. I expected the room to have a mini sink and laundry facilities and they did not. You could tell that the room we stayed in used to be a smoking room. The dining at the hotel was a little pricey and did not have much variety. There were only 9 things on the menu. The swimming pool was indoors which I wanted in case it rained while we were there. I can't complain too much, the staff was really nice and filled my requests when asked. The hotel was within walking distance of a lot of neat activities!

One hidden gem. This hotel is in excellent condition, the people are friendly, helpful, and willing to assist in any way possible. We only stayed for one day, but it was well worth it. The only drawback is that it is on the busy Hwy 76 strip and traffic is a nightmare. Other than that great value, and would compare to the large big brand name hotels.

we are in branson all the time. We wanted to try something different, thought this would be someplace special, was not.

Good location!

I arrived to be told that I was NOT registed. I was then told that they always have problems with ORBITZ. I was also told there were no rooms available. I mentioned that I was there for a conference. OH ! suddenly they had one room left ...uh... I then left my adult daughter asleep to attend an event to return and find the night-table, headboard, and wall base crawling with ants! I went to ask to be moved. They cancelled another's person's reservation to do that. While this was admirable, I would probably have not said that... The poor attendant was overwhelmed with phone calls, no help, and gave me the key card with someone else name on it...she was in a hurry, well, and so was I. I later used the computer by the front office to print out my tickets, to find my pants ALL WET. From what? I don't know. We had a banquet there. The person I was sitting with had not finished her salad and the waiter came giving her her meal. There was no room on the table and she said she was not finished, so he handed it to her anyway and WE had to find room for it on the table ! I went to get a to-go order for lunch and there was only one waitress who was overwhelmed and clearly very frustrated. I couldn't blame here either - and here I gave her more work. The pieces were all there - facilities, location, pool, rooms and people, but the service was unprofessional and poor or a lack thereof.

Excellent hotel everything was perfect never been in such a nice hotel. There was even a towel made into a swan on our bed when we walked in awesome.

WE HAD A LATE CHECK-IN (AFTER MIDNIGHT), THE NIGHT MANAGER AND RECEPTIONIST WERE VERY PLEASANT AND THEY MADE CHECK-IN VERY HASSLE FREE. THE HOTEL WAS VERY QUIET, EVEN THOUGH IT IS ON THE BUSIEST STREET IN BRANSON, YOU COULD NOT HEAR ANY OF THE STREET NOISE. EACH DAY WHEN WE RETURNED TO THE HOTEL OUR ROOMS WERE SPOTLESS UNLIKE HOTELS IN THE PAST. THE FEW HOTEL EMPLOYEES WE ENCOUNTERED WERE FRIENDLY, PLEASANT AND VERY HELPFUL. THE POOL WAS CLEAN AND NOT OVER CHLORINATED. THE AREAS AROUND THE POOL, EVEN THE PATIO, WERE SPOTLESS. THE LODGE OF THE OZARKS IS LOCATED WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE OF RESTAURANTS, SHOPPING, AND SHOWS. IF WE EVER RETURN TO BRANSON WE WILL STAY AT THE LODGE OF THE OZARKS AGAIN.

When we first arrived, we noticed that the Lodge appeared nicer than many of the hotels on the strip. Once in our room, however, it did not meet the standard I expected and definitely didn't look like the picture on the computer. We got a double queen deluxe, and that was nothing special. So, I called to the front desk to inquire if we had the right room. He said yes, but he could move us to a nicer room. He did, and the second room met our needs and expectations. We had no complaints other than the free breakfast wasn't good.

The hotel is beautiful! I love the lodge ambiance. It was like stepping into another place when you walk inside the doors - a lodge, but classy. There was construction going on so the game room and club were not available yet, but they are getting close. Once those things are taken care of we would definitely give it the full 5 stars. We did have an issue with some noisy people next door ( a family reunion) but the staff had no problem quickly moving our room to another area of the hotel. The location is fantastic - right on the main strip and easy access to everything.
