Crossland Kansas City - Independence

I needed a place to sleep on a business road trip. Staff was a big help in locating the motel and getting me signed in. My room was on the top floor and was clean and comfortable but suffered from road noise. This night was a good value but the property seems a bit too big for the staff they have to manage it. Free WIFI is a plus.

Disgusting. There were brown stains in the shower, on the toliet seat, and a nice little redish brown stain on my pillow case. The carpet looked like it had been urinated on in multiple places and the bed was like a friggin rock. No comfort, it smelled, and was so so so gross. I woke up with a stuffy nose. I swear there were mold spores. Great on the outside but my room was disgusting.

I guess you get what you pay for! Next time I will pay more and upgrade. Went to my high school reunion. Just needed a place to sleep for a few nights. Why pay a lot? Because in every other motel I have stayed at, there was more than one towel and washcloth. And when I would get back to the room, the used ones were replaced with clean ones. Not here. Here you had to take the wet ones to the office each day and exchange them for clean ones. Or should I say clean ONE. The place was very small. It was nice to have a refrigerator in the room. And the room was clean. I could hear the people walking in the room above me until after midnight every night. The staff was pleasant and helpful. The place was also a little hard to find.

The hotel was old and in need of rennovation. A non-smoking room was requested but none were available upon checking in. They charged approximately $8 for wireless connectivity. I would recommend not going near this place.

I went to three different rooms before I landed in a somewhat decent room. The rooms aren't very nice and there's bugs all over. I'd suggest going somewhere else.

The room was very cute and clean. The girl that checked me in was very pleasant and helpful. The only problem that I had was there was only one towel, washcloth set and I realized as I was getting out of the shower, so it was a bummer to use a wet towel. But for the price I was very happy with the stay, and I would stay here again.

I just relaxed and enjoyed the quiet time. Maybe more channels. It was so much better than other places Ive been to.

The purpose of my trip was to see my mother who was in a nearby nursing home and visit family. This was perfectly located for that. My stay was plesant as I had what I needed, a comfortable bed and a shower. The only things I would have appreciated would have been enough coffee for each day of my stay,a box of tissues and an extra roll of TP. I probably could have gotten them at the office but was out of the room before it opened and didn't come back until after it closed. I also wanted to checkout at 6:35am. The office was suposed to open at 6:30 but no one was there, I tried the phone to get someone, but no one anwered at the 3 numbers given. I finally put my key in the box. No personal touch. Also, when I checked in, they wanted me to sign a form that had no figures included relating to the cost, nor was it marked as paid in full (I had prepaid). I put the numbers in and marked it paid in full myself. I would stay here again, only because it is within my meger price range and is addiquate to my needs

I was supposed to have a non-smoking. Someone had been smoking in the room. The room was clean, buit the rug was tattered in places. But the location and the price was fine. BCG
