Super 8 Independence Kansas City

It was super easy to find; exit off of I-70 and take a left on Norland, you can't miss it on the left. There are a great selection of places to eat within a 10-15 minute drive, the nearby stretch of Crysler has a wide selection of eateries which vary from ethnicity to cheap to more up scale; there's quite a bit to choose from. The staff at the front desk was helpful and the manager on duty was equally friendly. The room was clean and had no odors, even for being a smoking room. I had plenty of towels, soaps, coffee and the sheets were fresh. The bed was a little hard but I didn't mind too much. Unfortunately the night I stayed there was a guest with a larger dog directly across the hall from my room and anytime someone went in or out of a neighboring room the dog barked. I would have appreciated the front desk mentioning the dog in case I had any allergies to pets or if I would have preferred to not hear the dog bark until midnight after driving all day but I was not given any notice. The breakfast was about what I had expected; a couple kinds of cereal, bagels with cream cheese, toast, coffee, donuts and juice. I would stay here again if I'm ever in the area.

For 5 mid 20's guys in town for a baseball weekend, the hotel was great. Right down the street from Kauffman Stadium, right off the highway surrounded by restaurants. The rooms were cheap, but clean and well maintained. Nothing fancy, but as good as you could expect from a Super 8 type hotel. Staff was friendly with a helpful, low key attitude - they woke us up calling to ask us to check out, and gave us another 15 mintues to pack up and get out of our rooms without charging us. Also just a ten mintue drive to downtown Kansas City.

Very good location for the sports complex, a short drive. Nothing special for rooms. If you want just a room to sleep in it's good.

I was there for busness trip for one day. the hotel staff was very helpful and freindly. Close by eating extablishments with in 5 min drive either way. Near the interstate for easy axecese as well. i would stay there again good deal for the price.

The staff was especially friendly and helpful. The motel was clean and easily accessible to a major freeway.

Staying for a Royals game. I had requested Non-smoking. Upon check-in the clerk stated it was not on the request sent which I had in print. The hotel was sold out and had to take smoking. I survived. It's an older hotel, weird experience, not that close to stadiums, and will stay near Plaza off Rte 435 instead off Rte 70 next time.

Bad smell in room, they gave a lemon air freashener that had to be sprayed over and over again, would not stay at this establishment again.

Once I found the motel it was easy to get to the places I wanted to see. Having free internet was a plus since I don't have a laptop.

We were in town for a KC Chiefs football game and were only a few miles from the stadium. There were restaurants in the vicinity as well as a Quick Trip, K-Mart, and Wal-Greens.

This location was easy to get to. There were some great restaraunts near by also.
