Days Inn Joplin

Except for the very hard foam pillows, the room was fine. Nothing fancy, but very adequate for the price. The breakfast was good with eggs, sausage, waffles, biscuits and gravy, fresh fruit, pastries, 3 kinds of juice, milk, coffee, cereal, etc. Would like to see a 6 AM breakfast on the weekends also instead of 7, but otherwise good

Once I arrived I saw that all the rooms had access to them from the outside. Had I known this I wouldn't have booked here. I also chose a non-smoking room but my room smelled horrible. I won't stay here again. For the price I thought it would have been better.

wonderful staff. answered all our questions and provided great tips. Room was on ground floor as we requested and next to outside door (my husband has had a stroke-doesn't do stairs very well)very quiet and room was clean. Two chairs was great. Can't say enough good things about this motel.....Sure will stay here again when in Joplin. Thanks for the hot breakfast....

Clean basic hotel. Quiet even though it's near the street. Older property but updated nicely. Only detractor is accessibility. OK for a business night or two. Breakfast was no great shakes, but did have eggs, sausage and bacon. A step up from the cheap pastries and Fruit Loops served at most hotel breakfasts at this level.

I usually avoid Day's Inn in recent years -- but THIS is what Mr. Day used to insist on when he was around! I had a King Bed "business" room for a great price. My room numbers was in the 300's Comfy bed with 5 great pillows, recently remodeled (or built) room. Great executive style high-back chair at a desk made for working. Good TV and good channel selection. Breakfast included eggs, two kinds of sausage, buicuits and gravy, the waffle maker (of course) cereal, bananas, apples and oranges, orange juice (in iced carafe) and Folgers coffee -- brewed to a normal strength (unlike the 'tea' that many hotels in this price range provide. Convenient to highway, stores, and other restaurants.

We were in Joplin for a friend's wedding and needed a quick, cheap hotel. The thing is, we aren't very "upscale" people. We are in our mid-twenties and we don't expect perfection. We didn't book a room at the Ritz Carlton, so we didn't expect it to be treated like royalty, BUT we still paid $56 and didn't expect to be mistreated the way we were. Basically, when we got there a not-so-friendly front desk girl set us up in a room. We made our way there to see that there were no sheets/bedspread on the bed. Once we looked closer, we realized that the room hadn't been cleaned AT ALL. There was still trash (including used condoms) in the trash can. Gross. When we called the front desk and explained the room situation (expecting to get moved to a different room), they told us "okay, we'll take care of it" and hung up. Next thing we know 4 housekeepers busted into our room - without knocking - and started to frantically clean the room. They did a horrible job, but we were too tired to complain. One housekeeper was in such a rush that he even walked in on my boyfriend going to the bathroom, because he didn't knock. Apparently they either didn't speak enough English to know the word for "sorry" or they were just that rude, because we NEVER got an apology. The next morning we went to the front desk to complain and apparently there was no manager there. We made the girl call her manager who gave us a $20 refund over the phone. We said that was fine and got out of there ASAP. If you stay there, good luck. :)

Just needed somewhere to spend the night in Joplin. Loved the location as it was just off I-44.

Why the price through Cheapticket higher than the price at the hotel? I will not book hotel through Cheapticket.com anymore.
