Motel 6 Joplin

We arrived at the motel for late check in, and the 1st statement out of the desk clerks mouth was "we have no internet service" to which we stated, no internet, we are not staying. Then we received and there was no hot water, and no water pressure; the desk clerk brought us blankets, and the room finally heated up around midnite. We did talk to the internet service; we went to our room; it was cold manager the next day, and she was very nice about the awful room and is sending us a cert for another room. At this point in time, we are not sure we will ever walk into a Motel 6.

The nght clear was very polite, socialable and pleasant. Room dirty/dusty. No soap in shower. above doors and windows was an inch of dust/dirt.

Friendly staff but hotel is just OK

Considering this hotel was so close to the tornado's path, the rooms were fine.We were just there to volunteer so the location was handy. No hot water the first night or TV, but cable was out everywhere so it was nothing they could help. The rooms were clean and the hot water was on the 2nd day.

After reading the previous reviews for this hotel, we were a little worried about staying here. Our experience turned out to be very pleasent. The room was clean and the staff was friendly and accomodating. The hotel's weekly rate is very affordable. There are plenty of food options and shopping near by. We will stay here again next time we come to Joplin.

I checked out immediately and did not stay the night. I'm not a picky traveler, but I absolutely could not stay the night in that room. I had high expectations because I've stayed at other Motel 6 locations throughout Texas and had a great experience.. but unfortunately this one did not live up to any of my expectations. The only redeeming quality was the bathroom was very nice and clean - the rest of the room, however left a LOT to be desired. Staff was unhelpful and very unfriendly. Acted as though I was offending THEM. Even though I was in the room for less than 10 minutes they refused to refund my charge for the night - but you couldn't pay me to stay in that room.

While the staff was friendly, my room was so full of dust that I hadn't been asleep for more than two hours before I felt like I was in the midst of an awful cold or allergic reaction. The congestion did not subside until hours after I left the room. There was also a cigarette burn that went through the duvet cover (in a nonsmoking room, no less). Also, when I checked in a bit after 10 p.m., I had to do so through a "night window" with protective glass and a slot under which to transfer documents. I felt like I was visiting a prison. The WiFi isn't free and is slow. I won't return.

The room was clean and adequate size. The beds were comfortable. There was adequate space for hanging clothes and hangers were provided. The vanity space in the bathroom was adequate for cosmetics and toothbrushes. The motel is located in a area close to restaurants and shopping. The front desk personnel was friendly.

The room was OK. But I was surprised to learn that Motel 6 do not provide shampoo for customer. The front desk keep me waiting for more than 1/2 hours before telling me to come back later because they didn't have a room ready. Overall, location was good. Room was clean. Price was very reasonable. I would not go back unless there are no other room available in town.

This Motel 6 is on a very busy street and is at a very noisy location. It is close to the new casino which is the reason that we chose to stay there. It was a good place to stay for the money though.
