Fairfield Inn by Marriott Kansas City Downtown/Union Hill

The staff at the Fairfield Inn was especially helpful and friendly. They were always helpful. The room was comfortable and I appreciate having a refrigerator and microwave.

Crown Plaza Shopping, MCD,Wendy, wireless WiFi etc...

Clean, friendly, and good breakfast. But that bed...sheesh.

We thought and hoped we would arrive at a nice friendly hotel, but once we got there, the staff would not let us have rooms by who we came with b/c they said they did not have any until I checked into my room to find lightbulbs burnt out and moldy shower curtains, so I called them and he let us move by our friends. We got numerous complaints and threats we were going to be kicked out b/c we were too loud, when it was around 3 OTHER rooms making all of the noise. We were also yelled at and lied to about check-out time. Overall, NOT GOOD.

While it is right off the downtown...it's a little confusing to get to, but well worth the trip. A quiet place to stay just a couple of clicks off the main downtown area.

This was the first time we stayed at a Fairfield Inn and we were very happy with our experience. The rooms were obviously recently remodeled which included up-to-date decor which made it pleasant. The room was clean. The front desk called up to our room within 5 mins of our check-in to make sure everything was satisfactory with us. They also had a pretty decent complimentary breakfast with a nice eating area. We plan to stay here again if we're in the area.

The staff was very friendly, courteous and were always helpful with a smile. The facility and room were clean, great bed with LOTS of comfortable pillows. Exercise room was small, 3 cardio machines and some free weights, but acceptable for the 3 days I was there. Location wasn't bad, but I was in for a conference and did not rent a car as there would be shuttle service for related events. If visiting in June, as I was with 100 degree heat, I would definitely recommend renting a car, I walked a few places but would have been easier to drive. All in all I had a great stay and would definitely recommend this hotel.

We had never been to Kansas City before and we stayed at Fairfield Inn and it was nice. It is a little older and really a little overpriced for what it is but it is just down the street from the Crown Center which we loved. It has a nice indoor pool and spa that I highly recommend. The bed was awesome, really nice linens and great pillows, very clean. Nice continental breakfast from 6-9am. The best thing about it is definitely the location but I recommend it if you need to stay in Kansas City and you just want a comfortable stay. The staff are really nice and helpful and very knowledgable about local events.

we attended a local concert with 40,000 people and chose this hotel because of the location.The beds were heaven after being in the sun the entire day. Big and COMFORTABLE! It was very clean and convient to various choices of food. It was definately a value for the money. It was very very clean. We thought since the other guest were at the concert the party would carry over to the hotel. Thankfully it did not.I would recommend this hotel without hesitation!
