Holiday Inn COUNTRY CLUB PLAZA

I was pleasently please with the overall experience. This hotel was average on location and price and above average on everything else. I would recommend it to others.

Great location and easy to get to! Near fine dining and museums. Plus the bartenders were wonderful with suggestions and opinions on KC BBQ

We selected the Holiday Inn despite some like warm reviews, but were pleasantly surprised. The location is fantastic, within (hilly) walking distance of the Plaza, Kemoer & Nelson Atkins museums, Westport, and several parks. Staff was exceedingly friendly and helpful. Free parking and WiFi were pluses and our room was quite comfortable - except for a very firm mattress. We had the breakfast buffet which was very good, especially a great assortment of fresh fruit. our only real disappointment was that the pool was outdoors and not yet open for the season.

This hotel is in a great location, close to the Plaza and Downtown KC. We were able to walk to museums and there are many places around the Plaza to eat (within walking distance to the hotel). The hotel is clean and nice, a good value for what we paid.

THE STAFF WAS VERY FRIENDLY... THE BARTENDER WAS SO HELPFUL TO US FOR IDEAS OF WHAT PLACES WE SHOULD VISIT. THIS WAS A PERFECT LOCATION FOR NITE LIFE

We chose this hotel because of its proximity and convenience accessing both The Plaza and nearby Kemper or Nelson Art Museums. This is a part of the city that doesn't suffer from excess arterial traffic flow or other noises. Overall, our experience went well considering the volume of travelers present accessing the same services at the same time. Area is relatively quiet, even safe after dark if walking is desired. The motel even provides an as needed "free" shuttle to the Plaza area if you do not care to risk walking or driving your own vehicle there. Staff was cordial, professional, friendly. They responded quickly to the 1 request I had. I highly recommend the breakfast buffet. The food is good and the prices are very competitive with other franchise fare. If I had to nit-pick it would the building's motor-generator noise emanating from an area near the G1-G2 garage levels at certain times of the day. We noticed the noise right away but it was muted once the TV or fan was turned on inside the room. Also, if claustrophobia is an issue for you parking in the underground garage facility where the spaces are quite tight you might want to try an different Holiday Inn locale.

This hotel was in a great location. The staff was helpful and friendly. Room and lobby were clean and comfortable. Lots of restaraunts in walking distance. We had one problem where our shower drain was clogged. I notified the front desk, we went out for a few hours and when we returned, the problem was fixed and there was an apology letter and some chocolates shaped like hammers in the room. Just a very pleasant experience. Would definitely stay there again and would recommend to anyone.

Hotel location is close to restaurants and shopping. Rooms are large and comfortable. Quiet location.

All brown decor. Not appealing. Staff not happy to help. I was confused at check out and had to call Cheap Tickets to get the information I needed. The desk clerk was completely unhelpful and his attitude was not good. There were no extra blankets. The heater had a loud rattle. Another guest had a charge that needed to be removed from his bill. He was instructed to call back on Monday to get it taken off. The location was good and the parking garage locked. I would not recommend this hotel and would be reluctant to stay in another Holiday Inn.
