Holiday Inn KANSAS CITY DOWNTOWN - ALADDIN

The front desk and valet staff were excellent and so friendly. Really enjoyed the free wine on arrival, too! Their cheerfulness was great!!!!

Right around the corner from the Power and Light District. Close to lots of restaurants. Hotel was very clean and staff were friendly.

Great Stay!! I loved this place. It's right in the heart of Kansa City and righ near all the good restaurants and bars. I would definetly stay here again. I highly recommend this hotel. The rooms are very new and have very nice ammenities. If you stay in Kansas City you have to go to Power and Light District. It is only a 2 minute walk from the hotel.

I recently stayed here and was very happy. The location was perfect. It's walking distance to the fun bars and restaurants. The hotel itself is nice, very clean, recently redone, kinda hip with cool furniture. Only thing is that it was a little more expensive than other hotels in area. Other than that it was great. I will definetly stay there again next time I am in town.

Good clean hotel. The staff attended to my needs well. Parking when you first get there is confusing, you can pull right up to the hotel, and get a valet for $15 a day, or figure it out on your own, theres a garage across the street too that I think is $12 a day. They also gave me a free glass of quality champagne when I arrived. Overall I was happy with the stay, the room is slightly industrial, but unless youre super picky, its a good clean hotel, with fantastic location downtown.

Hotel was in a fantastic location. Historic building with an eclectic-feel. Problem was with the booking reservation and staffing. Our reservation was bumped. Reserved two rooms (with double-beds). The hotel/staff double booked all the rooms. We ended up with 2 single bed rooms. Couldn't accommodate our group with cots (fire hazard). I then asked what could be done to make up for the fact that our reservation could not be kept (discounted rates, free meals, etc). What could they do to make us want to ever stay there again. RESPONSE: "You booked online, sorry. You should have called us" I couldn't have been more frustrated. Booking online flight+hotel was a discount.... but the service and inability to meet the reservation is a joke. We would have paid full freight to get what we wanted. I will not be staying at that hotel, and probably wont be booking through Orb*** for our trips.

The price was right since I purchased a flight and hotel combo from Orbitz. I found the Holiday Inn to be very comfortable, and the staff were extremely accommodating. The bed was excellent, the bathroom was clean and up to date, and I appreciated free internet via LAN in the room. The WiFi signal was too weak, but the LAN worked fine. Access to the bathroom was a little cramped because furniture partially blocked the passageway, but it was not a major problem.

The parking situation is not good. You have two choices: 1. park across the street yourself for $12 per day or 2. use valet for $15 per day. I know this is not unusual for hotels in cities but it makes the cost of the room itself not really a good deal. Other than that the hotel was comfortable and clean.
