Q Hotel and Spa

We stayed here as a girls' getaway for two nights. It's perfectly located to hit both the Wesport and Plaza districts. We thoroughly enjoyed the nightly manager's reception, free parking, and complimentary omelets in the morning. The staff was always helpful, polite and cheerful. The accomodations are contemporary, and just on the better side than adequate. We were very comfortable here, and we fully explored the hotel. For $100 a night, you can't beat it with a stick. I'll stay here again, even at the full rate. We love The Q!

We were there on a Monday night. Wanted to shop but not much around hotel. Great staff!! They took us to the Country Clubb Plaza and the shopping there was very good. The Q is above average in it's accommodations but the staff was excellent. Anything we needed was a phone call away. Will probable stay there again when we are in Kansas City

Friendly staff and helpful shuttle service. Location was convenient to lots of nightlife as well as shopping on The Plaza.

the staff was very helpful & friendly. nora, sarwar & eugene especially made our trip more enjoyable. went for my birthday weekend & staff made my friends & i feel very welcome & special. the hotel is in a great location being close to kelly's pub & the dualing piano bar for nightlife fun. also very much enjoyed happy hour at the hotel bar. also enjoyed the complimentary breakfast. rita makes wonderful made to order omelets. i also liked that breakfast is served until 10:30 for those of us that enjoy sleeping in. :)

The hotel was very noisy, loud and smelled very bad. Very crowded for afternoon/evening free drinks, complementary breakfast was average and the only positive think was the lady preparing omelets. Would never stay again and would not recommend

The Q is located in the Historic Westport area, featuring convenient access to shopping, art galleries, food and the local pub scene.

For New Years' 2012 a group of friends and I decided to go to Black Party VIII. It was less than 5 minutes to walk there in westport. The Q was in a perfect location to hang out and be within walking distance of our hotel in westport area. It was a clean, quiet and very comfortable room. I recommend this hotel.

Best part about this hotel is the location. It's in Westport, which is a fun area. Mostly bars but a few offbeat restaurants too. And it's a short drive or long walk to the Country Club Plaza, where you'll have lots of shopping and dining options (though none of them cheap).

When I booked the hotel online, I noticed that the hotel has wireless internet and thought that was included in the rooms. These days even cheap hotels and Starbucks offer free Wi-Fi. At this point it's standard. But when I got to the front desk I was told that it would only be available for an additional $20. (That cost also included a shuttle and breakfast, but I didn't need or want either of those things.) So the woman at the front desk took a big marker to cross out free wireless on the sleeve holding our room keys. This and a few other things gave an unwelcome and ungracious feeling to the hotel. It's like airlines that nickle and dime for choosing a particular seat or overcharging for luggage. It gives a feeling of being inhospitable from the start. On the positive column, the bed was very comfortable, and the room was clean but small.
