Residence Inn by Marriott Kansas City Country Club Plaza

This is a fantastic hotel room with a perfect localization at KC. close to everything for a weekend. Restaurants and shopping. a very clean room with a wonderful kitchen area. fabtastic confortable bed and a very spacious room for 2. a very fair costXbenefit.

Staff was a little confused about the room (# of beds, sleeper, suite, etc) but then confirmed the room was what I wanted. When I got to the room, it by far exceeded my expectations. The location was great - one block from the plaza, my wife fell in love with the setting. The room was very quiet. We were only minutes from family as well. My only regret was that we didn't stay an extra night. An overall A+

I choose this hotel based mostly on location - one block from Plaza - and the fact that they had a seperate bedroom from living area. I traveled with my 3 year old daughter and we both enjoyed our stay here. Room was clean and well designed, modern. Staff was friendly, too. Oh and breakfast was great every morning!!

First, there is only one very slow elevator. Once the elevator finally arrives it is too hot and stuffy to ride- it has no air conditioning- no fan- no breeze. I was in a hurry, and had to get up to my room. I waited for the elevator so long I finally decided to walk up the stairs to the 6th floor. Bad idea. The halls and stairs are not airconditioned, so I arrived to my room soaked in sweat. After that I just waited for the slow, steamy elevator, and would end up soaked with sweat anyway- the elevator was so stuffy and hot. If you stay at this hotel ask for a room on the 2nd floor so you can avoid having to use the elevator. I would never stay here again on an upper floor.

The hotel was very near the Plaza, which allowed us to get out and walk around with our busy toddler. The room was in good shape, but smaller than i expected. We got a suite with a separate bedroom specifically so we could put our little one down for a nap and still be in the room without disturbing her, but the room we stayed in the first night had the bathroom off of the bedroom without a separate entrance. The second night, we stayed in a different room (not in the tower) that was much more spacious, but in a little rougher condition. If i had to choose again, i would definitely choose the 2nd room (NOT in the tower), especially if space is an issue.

I entertained a friend. This hotel is first class all the way. Comfortable beds, extremely clean and people friendly.

While not a luxury hotel it was great for our family trip. We used the pull-out couch for our kids, but there was plenty of room, two TVs, and the location is fantastic. Even parking in the parking garage was free. The pool is small, but clean and nice with a hot tub. And the breakfast is one of the nicest I've had...even the gravy for the biscuits and gravy was quite tasty. There was a free bag of microwave popcorn in the room as well. I would most definately seek out and stay there again my next trip to Kansas city.
