Resort at Lake of the Ozarks Condo

We were at the Resort at The Lake Condo. during the end of October and really enjoyed the picture perfect view of the lake. One of the best things about this resort is that there is no commercialism to look at. The only view from the balcony is the lake and the beauty of nature. We shopped, dined, relaxed on the balcony and watched movies, and cheered for the Cardinals playing in the World Series. . It was the perfect fall getaway. Tthe condo is easy to get to now that HWY 54 has been revamped and takes you directly to Passover Road. We will come back again soon. Other places we have stayed at are noisy and too commercialized. This is the most relaxing place I've ever stayed at since we've been coming to the lake for vacations and weekend getaways.

This was basically a shopping trip and the location was fine for the mall.The Condo is listed [...] as "Lake of the Ozarks Condo" but the actual name on the property is " WorldMark by Wyndham". It took about three phone calls with the staff before we found the place. The property exterior is in great shape but the Condo interior was just so-so in my estimation. I told the manager about tile issues in the bathroom and the rug seemed it could use some cleaning. He explained that a major upgrade would take place in January.IF your taking a "crew" with you this is an excellent choice - especially if your staying more than a few days (they don't change or make beds for shorter stays.)There is a kitchen with most of the essential utensils (toaster, mixer, knives, plates, glasses (even wine!), pots, pans, stainless, etc.) It even has a dishwasher (but only soap for one load?) What was truly amazing was the washer and dryer. Ironing board and iron are supplied.Linens and beach towels supplied.The actual size of the condo was over 1100 sq feet. It had 2 bedrooms (one a master and the other with two twin beds.) There were 2 full bathrooms. The living room area had a murphy bed in the closet and a fireplace which generated lots of ambiance and warmth (with a lake view.)Every Condo has a view of the lake from the balcony plus a small table, 3 chairs and even your own gas BBQ pit.There is a recreation facility with swimming pool, hot tub, and a small workout room. In the fall the pool is closed. If you have kids there is a pay pool table and video games in the basement. There are 2 TV's (one in the Master and one in the living room.) There was also a VCR and tape rentals for $3 each.My number one complaint is the issue of wi-fi. IF you want to use it you have to shell out $5 - 6 a day for a password. In a condo with a free phone this should be considered a necessity in this age. Still, if you just need a short access you can go to a number of nearby restaurants and plug in without even making a purchase.) Really strange,,,,,, On leaving town I noted just about all of the small $50-$100 accommodations had wi-fi. If you didn't bring a computer there is one in the main office.Getting to your room is also an issue. There is an elevator in the middle of each of the 3 condo units but you have to go to the end of the ground level unit to gain access to it for that floor. It was not too bad when there were NOT that many people staying at the unit (being in the fall). However, if you go in the summer and all the units would be filled thus PARKING and LUGGAGE will be a big transport issue. REALLY this should be rated as a 3.8. Truly better than normal but without the updates less than what one would expect for the money (even with the discount.)PS - There is a "Quiet" time from 10 p.m. to 8 a.m.

We had a wonderful weekend "vacation". The hotel was great with very nice rooms. We will definitely plan to return to this hotel.

Our condo was very large with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. It was on the water with a beautiful view. The price was no more than a standard hotel room.

The office staff were very friendly and provided great recommendations on area restraunts and golf courses.

Great customer service. The Condo was clean and very well furnished. The write up did not mention that there is a Master on Suite, and that was a GREAT surprise. Could not ask for anything better for this super low price. Congrats to Windam!!!

We loved sitting on the patio over the water each night.

Very quiet, peaceful, and most of all relaxing. Also close to shopping outlets and restaurants.

If you want a Condo style room with a great view, full kitchen, pool & a great location this is what you want. If you want a hotel room with all the frills, you do not want this. We were thrilled to have such a new, clean & beautiful room. Great staff also!
