Perfect for what we needed.
My husband and I needed a hotel room for one night. The price was so reasonable we were surprised at how nice the hotel was. The staff was so friendly when we called for directions and during check in and check out which was also fast and professional. Everything was clean and in order from the outside, to the lobby, to the room itself. The kitchenette was clean and efficient. The king bed was very comfortable. The shower had excellent water pressure. I wished we'd been able to stay longer. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat!

holes in the drapes and comferter,worn carpet, Box springs split open and exposed, tiny 19 inch tv. The bed slept good and the location was good for me

the good and not so good
We weren't at the hotel very long because we were visiting with a family member I hadn't seen in about 15-19 years.It would have been okay; BUT it would have been nicer IF WE HADN'T BEEN WOKEN UP BY THE SMOKE ALARMS IN THE HOTEL AND MADE TO GO OUTSIDE IN THE COLD AND WITH OUR PAJAMAS ON. We were outside for (I don't remember) maybe 45 minutes. The fire truck came in (as if they were just passing by and decided to come in), 2 police cars came in (they drove around the building and that was all - no lights). We had to talk around the building to try and find out what the problem was and if we were going to be allowed to go back in. A number of people got in their vehicles and started them up so they could stay warm. The management (I guess she was management) just barely said something about going back in. We were given no explanation of what happened until later in the morning when we checked out. I believe we should get some sort of a discount on our next stay at ESA through [...]!!!

Good Value
Meet girlfriend there for a weekend trip together. The place was a good value. We just needed a decent place in our price range and decided to go with ESA-Springfield. It was just about what I figured. It did it's job.

Convenient and Clean
The hotel is priced like a motel but with amenities you wouldn't find in a motel. It is comfortable and convenient. Next to several restaurants and shopping areas. Would recommend to a family member or friend.

worst hotel experience
Visiting my son at college. this was the worst hotel we've ever stayed in. The bed was hard as a rock and made major sqeaking noise just sitting on the bed. The towels were rough as sandpaper. I think the TV was from the 80's and the alarm clock didn't have radio option. the hotel itself was very dirty, didn't even look they had a vacuum cleaner to use.

This is a quiet and restful hotel to stay in. We were in Springfield to visit with our daughter and friends and found it to be better than other places we have stayed.

too many disappointments
greeted w/ poor reception/direction room was stifling hot, AC was not on one fork/one wash cloth/no dishcloth/no glasses no dish soap unseemly characters around lobby tv had "snow"---have not seen snow for decades, sigh vents were disgustedly dusty
