An older hotel, well maintained - but missing the mark on the little things - TV remote didn't work, no refrig and nearest ice and vending machines were 8 floors away

Hubby's Birthday
Surprise hubby's birthday. I asked for a reasonable priced hotel...I got an older hotel that didn't have a working remote control, no in room refrigerator like was listed on the amenities and had to pay $16.00 just to park our car. Wanted to keep the cost of the motel under $75.00. Paid $81.31 than...which was o.k. but did not know I would have to pay to park my car at the motel.

Hidden Gem
We discovered the Roberts Mayfair quite by accident about three years ago and found it to be a hidden jewel in downtown St. Louis. The location makes is convenient to the Edward Jones dome and restaurants galore. The suites are the perfect size - not so large to be exorbitantly priced but roomy enough to spread out and enjoy the stay.

Weekend Getaway
Great location for exploring downtown St. Louis. Classy room for a good price. Friendly staff. Front desk amenities were a bit sparse; they could not even furnish a bottle opener. Parking was an huge hassle, but I suppose it is downtown anywhere.

Free weekend parking at Tucker & Locust? No attendant, open gates, but no nothing signifying this. Seemed a bit shady though.

The hotel is easily within walking distance to the baseball stadium. The staff is friendly, and the price right. I just wish there were towel bars to hang used towels on!

The Fabulous Fox theatre is an easy drive. It is a great venue, and we caught a great production there. It's definitely a place to check out if you are looking for something to do!

our suite was spacious, clean, quiet, and, comfortable. The coffee shop downstairs is wonderful! Best coffee ever! Very close to several restraunts, shopping,casino, Edward Jones Dome, Busch stadium, and The Arch .

A Room with a View
The gentleman who checked us in was very helpful and courteous. Said he would give us a room with a view as it was our first time in St. Louis and he did. Plenty of dining options within an easy walk.

one night stay
Staying in this hotel for one night was good enough. The location was great. It is near a metro station and very close to Washington ave, so one can walk easily to different areas. The hotel needs some upgrading but the room was clean. The pictures show the hotel very extravagant, however once one is inside, it looks like a bare hotel. If one is planning on staying just for one night, then this hotel is good. Besides, there are lots of things to do out in St. Louis than staying in a hotel.

If you come with a car, the hotel does not have a parking garage, they share it with another hotel and charges 16 dollars for 24hour stay. I thought that was pretty expensive. If possible I would search or find another area that you can park for a cheaper price.

Hotel was in good location to Scottsdale Arena & otehr locations. Hotel was OK. Elevators very small & slow. Workout room was good. Room was hot, no guage in room to monitor the temp.

Blown Away!
As a frequent travel for business and pleasure I have stayed in many beautiful hotels. As a former employee of the Ritz Carlton Hotel Company, I also have a high regard for well appointed hotels. Well, my expectations were exceeded during my stay at the Mayfair Hotel in St. Louis, MO. Our room, a Jr. Suite, was decorated in such a lovely fashion it reminded me of a bedroom in a highend model home. From the unique artwork to the toiletries by Bath and Body Works we were impressed! I have decided that I will try to stay at the Mayfair every time I visit St. Louis from now on!
