This was a very nice place to overnight while on my way back to Virginia from Texas. It was conveniently located close to a mall, the interstate, gas stations, fast food, and if I'm not mistaken, a "gentleman's club"... not that I took any advantage of any of that but still... it was there if I needed it! Fresh popcorn in the lobby, clean room, and overall very nice to stay at. Although I didn't make use of the full breakfast in the morning (I did have coffee) it looked and smelled lovely and had I had more time i would have enjoyed it I'm sure.

in case you don't know about drury inn hotels, they are a cut above most hotels in their price range. tilting towards business travellers, they have a small happy hour each weekday evening featuring hot buffet items and free drinks, including beer, wine and mixed drinks. they also offer a hot breakfast with a wide variety of choices for hungry travellers. feather pillows and recliner in room. second stay proved to be as good as original last year, so they are consistent. will stay again...

We were in town for our son's graduation. The location was excellent. NO ROAD TRAFFIC NOISE. The only thing wrong was that the hotel has not been updated. Very clean, but the chair in our room was broken and the couch was well worn. Staff was helpful and friendly. And there should be a barrier between the breakfast area and check in desk.

It's a good place to sleep when traveling through. We stopped on the way to Myrtle Beach and had a good nights sleep. Breakfast was good but the area very crowded when we made it down around 8am. Overall it was clean and enjoyable.

According to the pictures and description I was expecting a two-person jacuzzi in the room not a garden (one-person) Jet Tub in the bathroom. The description says jet-tub but the picture showed a jacuzzi that appeared to be in the bedroom. So I was disappointed to find a tub in the bathroom and no jacuzzi.

The hotel is clean, needs a facelift in the hallway, common areas and lobby. No complaints for the aesthetics of the room, they put the work into these babies. So that said, it's consistent with every other hotel in this chain. I'd do it again

I really don't understand all the negative reviews about this hotel. I stayed for two days last week, and overall, it was a pretty good hotel stay. Sure, the carpeting and TVs are a little dated and it could use a renovation. But my room was big, clean, and the bed was super comfy.
The staff receive an A+ rating from me. My first night, there were teenagers in the next room screaming and laughing in the wee hours of the morning. I alerted the hotel staff and they immediately went up to the room. I didn't hear any noise after that. The next morning when I came downstairs they asked if it quieted down and whether I got a good night's sleep.
What annoyed me was lack of amenities. I was bummed to find out they didn't have free wifi. Also, the brochure left in the room touted a "complimentary breakfast." When I went downstairs in search of this I found out there was no such thing. I expected more, considering this is one of the more expensive hotels in the area.
I would definitely recommend this hotel. It seems to be the best choice in the area (I came across many shady reviews for other hotels) and is in a great location. With better amenities, I would give this hotel a 5-star rating.

The hotel was in good shape. The staff was very nice and hospitable. There was an incident that occured while staying at the hotel and I would have reccomended that the staff should have acknowledged the incident and said sorry for any inconvienence.

The Wyndham in Greensboro was a very pleasant stay. Clean room, comfortable bed, the staff we very friendly and helpful. Also, the continental breakfast is a full on breakfast. Not the danish/coffee breakfast some hotels try to pass off. Plus the hotel is in a good location. You have about 10 places to eat, all within a mile radius, and a movie theater a block down the road. I would definitely stay here again.

Service was fine. First room stunk and they quickly moved me to another room without fuss. Really seedy area and seemingly unsafe. Wifi kept going in and out, but staff unresponsive to problem, though helpful on everything else. TERRIBLE WIFI! Even when working, painfully slow. No extra plugs for tech accessories. Had to pull the bed out, unplug the alarm clock to plug in my laptop.

The staff at the Parklane Hotel was very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. I was very satisfied with everything and will definately stay again next time I visit.

I WOULD NOT STAY HERE AGAIN. THE STAFF WAS RUDE AND NOT HELPFUL. THE ROOM DIDN'T HAVE ANY TOWELS. WE CALLED THE FRONT DESK A MILLION TIMES AND NO ONE PICKED UP THE PHONE. MANAGER WAS SUPPOSE TO CALL ME BACK AND NO ONE DID!! THIS SHOULD BE A 2 STAR HOTEL!!

The non-smoking room reeked of stale cigarette smoke. They did have a air purifier in the room but since the smell had seeped into the facbric on the bed and furniture it did not do much. Their were aunts on the bathroom floor and when I went to wash my face I noticed the "clean" wash cloth had hair all over it. I was not comfortable and could not sleep because every time I turned it would stir up the stale smoke smell. The room was also very dark and dingy looking, not like the photos shown.

The hotel's conveniently located off I-40. It's close to alot of restaurants/shopping. The staff was very friendly & helpful. The complimentary breakfast was good (waffles, Jimmy Dean products, yogurt, etc; thanks for more than just cereal & bagels). The INDOOR pool was a plus as there was still snow on the ground which would have made an outdoor swimming experience untenable, if the pool had even been open! It all went very smoothly, nothing unexpected happened. Staff was very nice and concerned about our wellfare. Didn't like that the king sized bed was an extra $10.

The Biltmore Greensboro Hotel is a 26 room boutique hotel, located in the heart of the downtown business district. The building dates back to 1895, originally constructed by Moses Cone for his textile business. Renovated as a hotel in 1920, the Greensboro Hotel was the first hotel in town to offer rooms with private baths, electricity and the citys first unmanned elevator, all at a cost of $2.00 a night.
In the early 1960s, the hotel was renovated and reopened as the Greenwich Inn. World renowned interior designer, Otto Zenke, was commissioned to design the look and feel for the hotel. He chose to make use of the buildings turn of the century aesthetics by creating an Old World European feel. The lobby was designed after an English writing room, and a European theme became prevalent throughout the hotel.
Ownership transitioned in the early 1990s, at which point the Greenwich Inn became the Biltmore Greensboro Hotel. The name was chosen as a way to pay homage to the original establishment; inclusion of the Biltmore name was intended to help describe the type of ambiance the hotel had to offer. The hotel has been under local ownership since October 2007, and continues to be a strong presence in the heart of downtown to this day.

My Stay At The Biltmore

The reason for my stay at the Biltmore was to attend my university's homecoming. I loved the great location and the friendly staff.
I was not impressed with the decor of the hotel. The bed spread looked faded and dingy, carpet in the closet looked suspect, and the hardwood floors had not been swept and obviously not mopped (cobwebs in the corners, dusty under the bed).
Also there is not much privacy. The walls are very thin.
I would recommend this hotel if one is looking for close proximity to downtown. I was able to ride my bike or walk to all my events.
My overall opinion of the Biltmore is I liked my stay. Would I stay there again? Only if I cannot stay somewhere nicer.

The Biltmore Hotel, Greensboro, NC definitely needs a new housekeeping staff as well as some upgrade of fixtures, like toilet seat, etc. The carpet of my room was un-vaccuumed, The toilet seat was stained. There was no soap dish for the one and only bar of soap. The tub floor could use a scrub with a little more elbow-grease!! The room seemed much smaller than pictured. Lightbulb out in the chandelier and cob webs still there!

We made an impromptu trip to Greensboro for the Men's NCAA Basketball Tournament and decided to stay at the Proximity Hotel. It came highly recommended by a coworker who hosted a graduation party for her daughter there a few months before. I loved the industrial feel of the architecture mixed with lush textiles and furniture. The ambience was very romantic and welcoming. My one (small) complaint was that after the game, around 12:00am, we went to the bar for a nightcap and they had pulled up the chairs and were already sweeping the floor, even though they didn't close for over an hour. We felt uncomfortable and imposing, so after drinking one drink pretty swiftly, we headed to bed. This was just a minor hiccup in an otherwise lovely trip. The front desk staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. The room was very comfortable and chic. It was (almost) everything I was looking for in a short getaway.

My son and I loved the modern design and "green" philosophy under which they operate. The down sides include small errors in our room service order, (like ordering a burger with no onions and extra pickles, and having it arrive WITH onions and no pickles. Also empty salt shaker and not the correct quanity of beverages. Other drawbacks are that the pool is tiny, with no hot tub, and the doors on the hall all make noise when opening and closing, so when our neighbors were coming and going, I was waking and having to fall back asleep.

My Husband and i were in Greensboro to attend our Sons Freshman orientation for college. He stayed in the dorms. We found the hotels to be very clean and the staff very friendly. The only issue was someone was knocking one our door and running There were alot of children in town for a national track meet so we were sure it was just harmless fun, but it would be a good idea for the hotel to separate them from everyone. so that there fun could be contained to one area

I liked the way the room was divided to give more of a apartment feel. The sofa bed had a stain on it that looked really bad though. A centerpede met us in the kitchen from a small crack in one corner. The bath tub made cracking noises with each movement in the shower. But for the money it was still a great find. Not for more than two people cooking wise. There are not enough pots or silverware. Don't expect extra towels or room service. There will be no refreshing of your room if you go out. It will be just as you left it. Again for the money this is a nice find.

Great stay for concert at Coliseum

We were there for the NKOTBSB concert at the coliseum. It was only a mile away so we walked. I was expecting it to be more city like as we got closer, but it was not. I think it was weird that the coliseum was located here as I am used to places like this being in the city. We asked a cop if he thought it was safe to walk and he first said I would recommend staying some where else, but it was safe to walk. We did not have a problem at all. It was a busy street that was well lit and had side walks. If you dont want to risk the walk, there is decently priced parking Very close. It didn't look like there was much else to do in the area. Hotel was clean, I brought a dog so I had to inspect Everything to make sure my dog didnt eat foreign items and didnt find anything to pick up. It did take a LONG time for the room to cool down though. Quiet area right by the interstate, polite helpful staff, comfy beds, nice sized room. It served its purpose well and i have no complaints althought I would have like a breakfast (they do have coffee though)

The room was clean and comfortable. Love the desk in the business king room. You can spread your work around you efficiently. The wi-fi wasn't bad, just don't open too many browser tabs or else it will be very laggy.

If you are here for the ACC Tournament as I was, you will spend little time in the hotel. It was somewhat old, but clean. The staff was nice, and it was quiet. Very simple but reasonable price...great location for tournament attendees!

Ok for the price, Staff was courteous....basic breakfast included. The room was very dated but clean, however the hallways were not...and the place was very noisy with doors slamming often. Seemed to me that some rooms were being used as apartments. O am not likely to stay here again...there are many other options and for a few more $$ you may get a bit more.

went to a conference. The room was great except that I thought that I was given someone else's room because when I pulled up in front of my room the tv was on and the curtains were open and the lights on. I put my key in the door and when it opene I called out. No one answered so I called the front dest to check. I was reassured that the housekeeping forgot to shut everything off and close the blinds.

Celebration Station is right next door, which is a good and bad thing. If you are housed on the back end closet to the park, you will hear the annoying engines of the go karts all day long (and they start surprisingly early). If you are housed closer to the express way behind the hotel, you will be treated to the sounds of cars and trucks passing all day and night. Finally, if you are lucky enough to avoid both of those situations, you will still have to deal with your neighbors conversations and television volume because the thin walls do not keep any sound out of your room. Ear plugs are a MUST!
The rest of My stay was was adequate and the hotel price was excellent. I would recommend this hotel for those looking to save money at any cost, but beware the noise.

This is a typical motel with doors from room to outside. Fortunately the weather was warm because if it wasn't, the draft from the door would have been hard to take. The room was small, the towels little and scratchy. The bathroom had a noticable mold around the ceiling, I guess typical for a southern facility. The airconditioning was difficult to regulate.

I have seen this Motel 6 off I-85 many times but had never stayed there. The area it is located in not a very good place. The neighborhood around the hotel is nice, but the hotel itself had some shady customers there. In fact, when I came back from my dad's house one evening the police were around the corner from my parking spot for some unknown reason. The room's cleanliness was not up to par. There was mold growing in the bathroom. The linens on the bed were ill fitting. The pillows were small and uncomfortable as well as the bed. I suggest looking elsewhere for a hotel in Greensboro, NC, preferably a two star or better. I am not going to stay in a one star hotel again even if it has a decent price.

Stayed three nights (Tuesday-Thursday), the personnel was friendly and gave me an option to change rooms if Const. workers next door got rowdy. They did not
