The people at this place were the nicest people. BUT the place is a bit run down and I would not stay there again. There was no iron or blow dryer in my room. The wall had some sheetrock missing. Their was a big stain in the middle of the carpet. My flight was late so I was only there a few hours; otherwise, I would have found another hotel. Everyone I met was so very nice!

Hotel was better than most in this price range. Comfortable beds, wonderful helpful staff. Within walking distance of multiple chain restaurants if that's what you want. Midway between Wrightsville Beach and Riverwalk. Perfect for our trip. Would definitely stay there again.

The hotel was very clean but the rooms were a little small. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast, OMG it was really amazing. I will definitely come back again just because the breakfast was amazing. The breakfast lady was so so sweet and friendly. Her and the food made me book another stay.

The hotel did everything right. Right on the water and I could see the battleship from my window. Walking distance to great food and nightlife. The people were nice, and the room was good. I recommend this hotel.

Great location within walking distance of various restaurants. Definitely recommend Bonefish down the street from the hotel. Beds were extremely comfortable with clean bedding. The pool was very enjoyable, but the whirlpool seemed a bit dirty (did not stay in for too long). Could not hear any of my neighbors so I slept very well. Overall it was a pleasant stay and I would choose the Holiday Inn next time I find myself in WIlmington.

visiting family for two days and stayed at this Mainstay for one evening. It was nice. Employees were very friendly. It was located not too far from the beach or the riverfront. with plenty of restaurants and shopping close by and within walking distance. It was quiet and large, the room was clean and bed comfortable. Only thing that I would comment on is that I was surprised to go down at 10:00am Sunday morning and there was no breakfast. or any remnants of breakfast :-( Maybe on the weekends this hotel could extend their time a little bit? There was however coffee but I was just hoping for a piece of fruit or a muffin or something. Guess I snoozed too long! Otherwise great overnight stay!

Awesome historic feel. We had the Charleston suite in the oldest building. Beautiful room, kinda small but perfect for my wife's birthday party. Short walk to the down town businesses and that's the main reason I picked it.

This was a quirky hotel, but just the way I like it. It has the appearance of a renovated and divided up house, which I am sure it is, but that means that it was very spacious, with separate dining/living area, bedroom and bathroom. The kitchen was great - including oven and dishwasher. And there was a washing machine in the bathroom.
I was really happy to have found the Wilmingtonian, and if business brings me back to Wilmington, I would stay here again. Just don't expect the Ritz, and you may have to climb stairs.
My only real issue was it took me a while to find all the light switches - you may have to look behind the doors

I had to stay a single night at America's best stay. The hotel room was in MAJOR need of updating. The paint job was cheap and so were the fixtures. The jacuzzi was very nice, however the vent had rust on it and the jets didnt work to well. The place wasnt dirty, but there was a big need for some upgrades. The stay was nice and quiet though. I dont believe it was worth the price but I dont have any major complaints.

My wife and two young daughters came to visit the beach for a couple days. We needed a place where we could bring our Shih Tzu and not break the bank. I was a bit apprehensive about the location, right next to a large intersection, but our room was quite. The amenities are basic, but sufficient. What made the stay was the friendly staff.

Huge condo room, with seperate bedroom, large bathroom and fold out sleeper couch with kitchen and flatscreen tv. All rooms have a very large balcony that is great to people watch and eat dinner or breakfast on while enjoying the beautiful waterfront view of the cape fear river. We watched a coast guard ship that was docked right in front of our hotel. Very close to everything. walking distance to everything. We will stay here again and again.. Check in across the street at the hilton, and then park and go into room. Very easy, no drama and very fast check in.

Hotel staff were great, Location to all main attractions , excellent,.Price was perfect . Loved the pool.Went to the BLUE MARINE for a wedding reception .We were just a skip away . also a rocks throw away from Wrights-ville Beach . Shopping was across the street and the food choices were great . All 4 of us had a great time . At the price we paid,it was a bargain.

I return home to Wilmington but always stay in a hotel for less stress on my parents and to accommodate my kids age 14, 20, and 23(Wheelchair bound) so I've stayed at the gambit of hotels there, This hotel was by far the most accommodating and comfortable one Ive experienced. The kitchen was so well put together that i was able to cook and host a dinner party for about 25 of my alumni. there was plenty of room for my handicapped older son. The staff was considerate of my having a get together and let in my guest without issue. there is a Super Walmart a stones throw away so stocking the kitchen was a cinch. Its centrally located to everything in Wilmington like downtown, the beach, and restaurants galore. I'm intending to visit my hometown this weekend and am booking my stay there once again and will do so until their service, cleanliness declines or they refuse my reservation. It was that great!!

Made a quick get away to Wilmington for a night. The location is a short taxi ride to down town. Good place for budget minded traveler. The weekends and holidays can get noisy, but if you are like me and just need a place to sleep and shower, can't go wrong with this central location to shopping, dining, night life , and the beach.

Hotel was ok, but at night it became sketchy. At 12:00 midnight there was loud bass coming from a car that was hanging out in the parking lot for over an hour. Almost called the police. Toilet backed up. I wouldn't stay there again. Great location though!

I found the hotel to be clean and the updated room decor pleasant. The staff was cordial and helpful. The breakfast was better-than-average for the price and the 10:00 a.m. breakfast cut-off allowed more time to wake and enjoy.We loved the fresh, hot waffles, coffee, orange juice, yogurt and impressive variety of other choices. Overall, it was a great experience.

The location and staff were great! Greeted with a smile upon entering and every time I passed the desk. Central location was convenient! Traveling as a school chaperone, the budget was definitely satisfied. The only real negative was that the pillows were very,very lumpy! Made me regret not bringing my own pillow, which I almost always travel with. I would most likely stay again.

My wife and I were on a weekend getaway and wanted to stay somewhere that was close to downtown Wilmington, and inexpensive. Well we found both at this hotel, only 2.5 miles from dowtown and priced right. The room was clean, bathroom receently renovated, but the pillows were less than desirable. Overall, I would stay here again while in Wilmington.

The location of Comfort Suites Wilmington is very nice. It is near both of beach and downtown. There are lots of restaurant around. In a room we were satisfied with a nice bathroom and a comfortable king size bed. Staffs are very helpfull, and we enjoyed staying.

It was a family trip, which we were at the beach most of the time. Not to far from the beach and you were surrounded by restaurants and there was a Target right across the street. Cleaning of the rooms daily would be nice and dish detergent in the rooms so you can wash the dishes would be nice.

It is very easy to find the hotel from the road. The front desk is kind enough. The room was not really fancy, but very clean. The kitchen is useful, but the tableware was not enough for people. Sadly, the water utility is not good. The sewers are almost stopped up, and very uncomfortable. You should check it when you arrive the hotel first.
The downtown is close enough by a car, but not really close by walk. It takes about 40 minutes to the beaches in Wilmington.
It can be fair enough to travel around the city, Wilmington.
