Best Western McCarran Inn

It started off on a bad note when the hotel would not let me check in early because I had prepaid through this website and that particular room wasn't available. Trying to use the side door with my luggage, the key card wouldn't open the door. The staff admitted that the lock was troublesome. (Why don't they get it fixed!) The one chair in the room was a desk chair; not very comfy.

When we first got there after an 8hr drive the front desk girl told us she couldn't find our names. Then when she did found it she said our rooms won't be available till 2pm even though our check in time was 9am. She then said she can get us only 2 rooms now and the 3rd room at 2pm. She said to give her 20mins to put our info in the system because she was busy with other things. Who say's that?? When I checked back with her 30mins later. She said I'm doing it as fast as I can ok! She had an attitude the WHOLE time!! The Best Western in Las Vegas had really bad service and the hotel smelled! I've been to The Best Western in The bay area and they are lot nicer and cleaner. Not to mention friendlier service!!

All we were looking for was a place to crash after soccer games and site seeing and this hotel provided that and a descent breakfast to boot.

Arriving late at night, only minutes from the airport, the Best Western McCarran Inn provided us with an ideal solution to our overnight need. Comfortably furnished, very clean, every needed room amenity supplied, quality breakfast selection, helpful front desk staff .. and no problem with early morning aircraft as earplugs provided (which we did not need). We would definitely stay at McCarran Inn, Las Vegas again.

Quite noisy and pretty basic. Standard breakfast . Staff are not so hot, especially the shuttle bus driver who only spoke Spanish, and dropped us off at the wrong place, but didn't seem to care either way! 25 mins walk to "The Strip"

We really liked that this hotel was only 5 minutes from the airport. However, each morning we were woken up early by the planes taking off. Guess that's what happens when your hotel is less than a mile from the airport. We had a king deluxe room and it was very large and comfortable. They offer free shuttle service to/from the airport and the 2 closest casinos, MGM and Hard Rock. If you want to go to any other casinos you have to walk (and it's a LONG way!) or take a taxi ($$$) or the bus ($). It would have been nice if they offered shuttle to a 3rd casino about halfway down the strip. If you take the shuttle back to the airport, make sure you find out what time it's leaving the hotel. We were out front ready to go (we were told it leaves at the top of every hour) and were told the shuttle wouldn't be leaving for over 20 minutes. We still made our check-in time but just barely. This hotel does NOT have a hot tub, and we were definitely wishing for one after all the walking we did on the Strip! They offer free wifi but after a few hours, our Touchpad wouldn't connect to it. We called the front desk but they wouldn't give us the network password because they said they weren't having any internet problems. We took our touchpad to other wifi hotspots and it worked fine, so something had to be wrong at the hotel. The breakfasts were ok considering the price- free. Overall, if we go to Vegas again, we would rather stay ON the Strip than off. This hotel was convenient to the airport but not to any other attractions.

We needed a place to stay with easy access to the McCarran airport for one night. This place was perfect, it was clean and it has been renovated. Take note that even it says there is a free shuttle to the airport, this service is not 24h.

hotel accommodations were adequate but I waited 45 minutes for the airport shuttle service in 100 deg heat. Ugh!

Neat and Clean

This is a very old hotel with very minor recent renovations. Modern bedding style, drapery, espresso headboard and furniture aesthetics. But carpet, AC appliance, and bathroom fixtures & tiles were original and old. Earplugs are provided because you can hear all the activity outside the room. Our room was near the open staircase, so it was very noisy.
