Courtyard by Marriott Las Vegas- Convention Center

We had been at this location just a week earlier and received a room on the courtyard - wonderful. This time we didn't get that (but not everyone can every time!). After settling in a family moved in next door. I believe they were having a reunion and were quite loud. I went downstairs and requested a room change and it was accompished without any difficulty. My husband left his shoes in the room and phoned the next day and was told they had been found and would be mailed. I would have been more impressed had the hotel contacted us as soon as it was discovered.

There was a problem with the toilet seat that we made the staff aware of when we checked out. A complaint that I had was that the bathmat was very dingy looking. Maybe not a big deal, but obviously it was noticed. Front desk person by the name of Ryan was most helpful and personable.

tHE BEST PART OF OUR STAY WAS THE EASY CHECK IN COMPARED TO LARGE HOTELS ON THE STRIP. THERE IS A MONORAIL STATION ACROSS THE STREET TO THE CENTER OF THE STRIP WHICH ELIMINATED THE DRIVE AND PARKING HASSLE TO THAT AREA. WE THOUGHT THERE WAS A FREE BREAKFAST BUT IT WAS A FEW SNACKISH ITEMS FOR PURCHASE. THERE WERE COMPUTERS IN LOBBY FOR GUEST USE. IT FELT SAFE.

This Marriott has hard beds & standard rooms. The layout and parking however is excellent. Parking is gated and fenced. Swimming pool and jacuzzi is clean and nice looking. Balconies on alot of rooms. Location is great, close to convention center and VERY close to the strip and monorail. I would reccomend this Marriott if you want a decent average place near the strip and convention center.

Like most Marriotts, it delivers the main items. A little pricey for this location and only had a basic snack bar that was overpriced for food and especially alcohol. In most cities, it would be a very good bargain. With all the choices in Las Vegas, I found it somewhat lacking for the price. An average value.

Quiet - away from the strip and the casinos. Easy access.

While in Las Vegas, the staff was most helpful in getting transportation, directions, or anything I needed. Everyone was friendly. The Courtyard's pool was down, but the staff made arrangements for me to go next door to the Marriott Residence hotel to use their pool. Was a good experience.

First time guests, traveling with a toddler and a teen. We found it to be very clean, quiet, safe, comfortable, friendly staff particularly buffet 'waiter', usually don't like buffets but their breakfast was quite enjoyable and we felt well attended to. Free internet in-room as well as in the lobby was a definite plus. Gave a 4 for staff only because of the gentleman who checked us in, he did his job fine but just wasn't very welcoming, everyone else was friendly. Dining we gave 5 because there isn't a 'not applicable', we only had breakfast unsure if lunch or dinner are served. Not sure if rate is competitive or not just becasue we booked it last minute so we're sure we paid a bit more than we would have if we booked early, however, it included breakfast for 3 and a $20 gift card so we were ok with it. Would stay again.

Hotel was in a great location, close to mono rail not to far from the strip. We parked our car at the hotel, took the monorail across the street from the hotel and got off at one off the major casinos and went on our adventure. We had a choice to come back to the hotel on the monorail but we chose to walk back, there was a lot to see on the walk back to the hotel. it was fun.I would stay there again.
