Die Broadway Erfolgsshow "Defending the Caveman" feiert im Golden Nugget seinen einjährigen Jahrestag! "Defending the Caveman" ist eine urkomische und aufschlussreiche Show, die sich mit der Beziehung zwischen Mann und Frau auseinandersetzt und die Lachmuskeln beider Geschlechter gleichermaßen strapaziert. Das von Rob Becker geschriebene Einpersonenstück "Caveman" gehört zu der am längsten laufenden Show in der Geschichte des Broadways. Es wurde bereits in 30 verschiedenen Ländern und in über 15 Sprachen aufgeführt. Stargast der Las Vegas Show ist Schauspieler und Komiker Kevin Burke. Die Show findet von Mittwoch bis Montag um 20:00 Uhr statt, mit zusätzlichen Nachmittagsvorstellungen um 15:00 Uhr an den Wochenenden.

- The ballrooms and meeting rooms at the Golden Nugget are exquisitely appointed, featuring chandeliers and Victorian decor. With 12 rooms totaling 25,000 square feet (35,000 square feet October 15 through March 15) and rooms ranging in size from 510 to 6,400 square feet, the convention area can easily accommodate everything from a private executive summit for 5 to a gala of 350. Two of the 12 meeting rooms overlook the tropical pool area. Seasonally, October 15 through March 15, a 10,000 square foot Pavilion is added to the mix. The Pavilion is ideal for meetings, concerts, receptions and banquets for up to 500 people.

Dies war unser zweiter Besuch im Golden Nugget. Wer Fan der alten Vegas Zeit ist (40er - 60er Jahre) ist in diesem Hotel sehr gut aufgehoben. Da das Hotel direkt an der Fremont Street liegt ist es zu Fuss ohne Probleme möglich den "alten" Teil von Vegas zu erforschen. Die Zimmer sind sauber und das Personal sehr nett. Die erste Nacht verbrachten wir in einem Raucherzimmer mit getrennten Betten (da alles ausgebucht war), am nächsten Tag klappte der Wechsel ohne Probleme - prompter Service!!

Ein tolles Hotel und auf jeden
Ein tolles Hotel und auf jeden FAll empfehlenswert für jemanden, der LV Downtown präferiert und wer der Hektik am Las Veags Blvd. ("Strip") etwas entgehen will. Sehr große Zimmer, tolles Ambiente. Ein winzig-kleiner Makel: Auf den Zimmern gibt es keine Minibar, aber man soll ja auch möglichst runter ins Casino, um dort zu verzehren. Aber es ist ein Eisautomat auf jeder Etage, so dass man sich auch seblst mit Getränken vorher versorgen kann.

Great downtown location
You got valet for free staying in the golden nugget! Walking distance to all attractions in downtown and casinos! Not as fansey as strip but definitely cozy if you just want to chill with buddies!

two days in vegas
I thought it might be fun to stay down town this trip to sin city and pick theGolden Nugget by name great room great service and the staff made me feel like it was ok to be there to have fun. Will stay there next trip

The Last of old school Vegas
The staff was absolutely fantastic. Check in was a breeze. The pool was exciting and fun. The upper pool was a dream. The amount of brass was over the top and gaudy, but the place reeked of old school Vegas. The only drawback was the desk that tried to sell you timeshares in exchange for free shows, but they weren't affiliated with the actual hotel. It's in the older part of the city, but the night show on the street was exciting and free. Very different from the strip experience, but charming and earthy. We will be back.

Have breakfast and lunch at DuPree's on the north end of the Fremont Experience. Oldest restaurant in the neighborhood, and impeccably maintained... Fantastic staff and food.
