The staff was very helpful and friendly. The room was super clean and the beds were great!
The only downfall was that the room's supplies were bare minimum. There were only 2 towels, almost empty toilet paper and no extras like shower cap, lotion etc.
I found it unusual that there was not a brochure about the hotel and it's services. Also there was no info available about the area's restaurants etc.

Old but Charming Hotel

The hotel was charming given its architecture and historical significance. The location was a plus being in the entertainment and downtown district. A great value given the decent rate, but the service was spotty. Forgot to clean our room one night and they were not able to repair a towel rack that fell apart in the bathroom. The room was decent and updated yet small. The hotel in general is old and dated, but again charming.

I've stayed at this hotel before. Its great for alumni weekend because its right on the main street downtown. It has some old world charm but the rooms are pretty small and it can be noisy if there's an event going on in the ballroom.

This hotel is conveniently located just across the river from downtown and is a cheaper alternative to the nearby Holiday Inn. However, the service provided by the desk staff (many are students) is uneven. Parts of the hotel are not cleaned regularly (front door handles, AC Unit and baseboards in breakfast room are filthy, halls in non-smoking wing reek of cigarettes. Rooms are small but clean and have microwave oven, clothes iron and board and good TV. Plenty of parking in secure lot.

Stayed here for one night only and got the job done. The front desk person was super talkative which was a little surprising at first but actually kind of refreshing. The room was decent and got good heat. The downfalls were definitely the disgusting one item breakfast (I guess that's what you get when it's free), the bath towels were so small not even a baby could use one (definitely bring your own), and the parking was way in the back which was only slightly annoying to have to walk up to the front in the freezing cold. But it was relatively cheap and on short notice so can't complain too much.

The hotel grounds are attractive but the interior definitely needs an upgrade, kind of dark and dingy. Staff is friendly and the beds are comfy. The price of $118 a night including taxes, though was more than I would pay after staying there.

I took my granddaughter & one of her frieds to the Binghamton Spiede Fest. Our hotel was located just a couple blocks away from the festivals location. After spending the day enjoying music, food, etc. we caught a ride on the parking lot shuttle & spent the late afternoon/early evening hours in the hotel pool. From the pool we enjoyed watching the evening lift off of the festivals hot-air balloons - marvelous. We awoke in the morning to enjoy one of the most delicious breakfast buffets - my granddaughter was super happy about the homemade waffles.

The motel was in a great location just off the highway and yet very, very quiet. The staff was very efficient and friendly. The hotel itself was very clean and it was obvious that the staff takes good care of the place. The location was perfect too for the number and diversity of eating facilities in the immediate area. My wife and myself were very satisfied and will stay there again on our next trip through the area.

I was there for the American Legion Convention. The air conditioner did not cool the room, I found trash in the dresser drawer, I found the TV remote under the bed. It was quiet.

If this hotel was renovated in 2009, I would really hate to see what it looked like before. The room was good enough (comfy bed, two sinks, wi-fi), but the cleanliness and overall appearance left much to be desired (mildew on the shower curtain, crumbling ceiling, sticky carpeting). The neighborhood appeared sketchy at night and the atual hotel was not clearly marked and back off the street. There were plenty of other hotels down the street where I wish we were staying. Overall, we got what we paid for.
