Ameritania at Times Square

Gute Lage zum Central Park und Times Square, Anbindung an UBahn sehr gut. Problem war, dass wir einen Heizungsboiller im Zimmer stehen hatten, der aufgrund der Zentralheizung immer auf sehr heiß stand und wir dies kompensieren mussten mit der Klimaanlage, also Boiller volle Heizleistung und Kilmaanlage auf volle Kühlleistung und dadurch war es sehr laut. Wurde aber durch den "Hauseigenen Mechaniker" behoben, der ein Handtuch über den Boiller legte... Ging dann schon. Hygiene war okay, jedoch nicht so top. Hatten auch Schimmel im Bad, da dort keine Luftabzugsmöglichkeiten war. Insgesammt entspricht es den New Yorkern Hotels. Preis- Leistungsverhältnis war im ertragbaren Bereich. Für junge Leute zu empfehlen, die in New York was sehen wollen und nur zum schlafen im Hotel sind. Kleiner Tip: 1Tag vor Abreise nach Taxi/ Shuttle Service fragen. Hotel bietet dies sehr günstig an!

Location was very good, right next to David Letterman theater. No restaurant, only room service. Small bar and elevators were a little shakey. Room was small but was renevated recently along with the bathroom - very nice.

Stayed for 2 nights. Room is very small, no closets, but I didn't travel to NY to stay in a room. Location is smack dab in Times Square with shops, restaurants, and Theatres all around. Only disappointment was the continental breakfast. NOTE: NOT FREE. The sign was as small as an index card stating breakfast was $9.95 pp. What a joke. Halfway thru my bagel I was notified of the charge by the clerk. Overall, a nice place to sleep in Times Square.

I stayed for one night at the Ameritania in April 2012. My room was a bit small but clean and had most everything needed- the only notable exception being a coffee maker! (happily there is a Starbucks across street). Staff was wonderfully young, fresh, friendly and helpful. Great location- lots going on, some street noise at night. Not the best if you plan to spend a lot of time in your room- but if you need a convenient, clean and comfortable place to sleep, this works well.

Location was great, Hotel was beautiful and rooms very comfortable. Subway station across the street from hotel, Starbucks across the street and parking in parking garage across the street. Very convenient for all your needs!!! 100% Recomend!!

Fabulous location for our needs close to subways, theatre, dance venue; quiet

The staff were always pleasant and helpful. The room had a lot of machinery/NYC noise, but it didn't bother me. The AC wasn't working when I checked in. One phone call and a service tech was there in minutes and successfully corrected the situation. Wonderfully located for all midtown/theater activities. Parking discounted to $25. Excellent stay!

The hotel is perfectly located to times square, rockefeller center and broadway. It is newly renovated. The staff is great.

One of the best values I've seen in New York with a perfect location. Exceptionally attractive, neat as a pin, very comfortable, a great staff, and convenient breakfast room.

Our trip didn't start off well....we arrived on a red-eye and they were unaccommodating to check in early (they said there was no room and if we could check in early, it would be $50 extra!). But, the hotel is in an excellent location, centrally located to Times Square, theater district & Central Park. Our queen room was extremely small, with just enough room to walk around the bed. The rooms are newly rennovated, clean and the bed is comfortable so it serves its function. There are few ammenities, if you need those, don't come here. The staff service was ok, not rude, but not overly friendly either. We are coming back later in the summer, but I will have kids with me and this would not be the best choice for families. There was something funny with the lights (someone else mentioned this too). One of the lamps randomly turned off and on (in the middle of the night).
