Millennium UN Plaza Hotel NY

Arriving from Scotland we were delighted with our accommodation and the view overlooking Manhattan. The hotel is situated within walking distance of Grand Central Station and Central Park - this made it very easy to explore Manhattan from top to bottom! We had a wonderful time and would recommend this hotel. We liked the super king sized bed!!

Was traveling with my 9 year old. Once we were checked in and settled to our room we regularly were passing back and forth thru the lobby to our various destinations. The staff was super helpful, kind, even asked where we off to each day - terrific to be greeted with a smile and quick and curtious ushering to our next taxi! Special acknowledgement to the bellman who always greeted us with friendly conversation (and even had a tiny screwdriver to help when we bought a toy at FAO Scwartz but no way to load the batteries!) and the taxi wrangler that made sure we always got a yellow cab quickly. They truly made us feel like we were the only guests in the hotel - great customer service and standout personalization!!!! Fantastic!

Overall a good average hotel. It's an older property that's being refurbished. Lots of history from a by gone era and some pretty good UN related stories, (ambassadors and staff stay here). Pool, workout facilities, spa, tennis, all nice. The restaurant has terrific Eggs Benedict, standard all out breakfast buffet, some other dishes, but no lunch, no dinner. Room service though, produced some good food. Ashame they don't lunch/dinner in the dining room. Staff attentive gracious and professional.

Perfect location of the hotel, close to the UN building, rooms are old-fashion, but clean. A butiful view. Center in the walking-distance. Hotel has a swimming pool.

Spent two nights in a suit. Definitely recommend. Would stay in again.

L'hôtel est bien placé, près du terminal de métro, et la vue est somptueuse. le seul bémol vient de la chambre, un peu old school, et l'insonorisation de celle ci qui n'est pas au top. Sinon la literie est très bonne. L'accès à la piscine et salle de musculation est un peu compliqué au départ, mais je conseille cet hôtel.

The check-in procedure was swift, room clean though not optimally laid out (a huge TV for a small-sized room is placed in parallel to the bed for some weird reason), bed quite comfortable. The staff weren't particularly helpful with seemingly basic requests such as storing luggage for a couple of days. Their responses have not been consistent either. A decent one-night stay overall, not a bad value for money for NYC considering the Midtown location (albeit in a rather boring neighborhood unless you're visiting UN). The staff should be more flexible with guest requests though.

It was a very nice hotel. Location is pretty good. You can walk to empire state building and time square. Staff was very nice. We reached 4 hrs early then the check in time, still they gave us a room. Room was pretty nice with an amazing view as I requested. When I entered the room, bed was not ready, hotel staff took care of it immediately. Only thing that I didn't like was that internet was not free.

I had low expectations because it was New York, and I've experienced surly staffs and othe disappointments. This was mostly the opposite, especially the hotel staff, which to a person, including maids, was upbeat and helpful in every way. I had a special need to upgrade to a suite on one of my four nights just for a two-hour meeting. They charged me less than they could have, and sent in complimentary munchies. Only negative was lack of evening room/restaurant service, but there's plenty of sustinance nearby; Italian restaurant across the street is great.
