Time Square Place

Well situated. NOT a hotel but an apt. Cleaning of surface areas seemed thorough - stove and fridge not great. No curtains on liv rm window altho this is where 2nd bed/couch is. There were dishes so that we could have b'fast @ home. Nothing to handle hot dishes from oven - no mitts. Nice staff. Gorgeous lobby. Walking distance to Times Square easy - great restaurants nearby.

Close to Times Square and the theatre district was a plus. Asked for hangers and a blanket but never came. Only one days added towels. No wifi as advertised. Couldn't get the TV to work after the first day. Very beautiful apartment, just no amenities. Nice entrance and doorman.

This apartment lacked in maintenance/upkeep. Walls had scuff marks throughout, the shower liner was filthy, some drawers did not close and were held closed by tape, bathroom mat was frayed, terrible grout/mold in bathtub, there were only three clothes hangers in the closet, no curtains/blinds in living room so total lack of privacy, cable for tv was loose and kept falling off so TV not always working. We contacted management, they came up, took pictures but never contacted us or followed up.

The trip was amazing! The Apartment; THIS IS NOT A HOTEL!, was within walking distance of Time Square, Broadway and everything we wanted to do; day or night. The Apartment building Staff; doorman, concierge were very nice and helpful at the Ivory Tower, but ARE NOT RELATED TO OR AFFILIATED WITH Time Square Place. Time Square Place rents 10 units within the building [...]. They are managed by a company; sales@woogo.com/ 212-661-8425, that has no idea what CUSTOMER SERVICE IS! The first night there was this annoying beeping noise that it took us 3 hrs to figure out it was coming from the dishwasher. The problem was that there was no one there from Time Square Place to assist in solving the problem. The management compnay for Time Square Place is NOT on site! I called them within an hour of checking in because the place was NASTY DIRTY! I don't care what type of hair you find in the bathroom; IT'S A PUBIC HAIR, as far as I'm concerned! The shower curtain and liner were covered in so much MOLD AND MILDEW that we removed them and threw them in the closet. The baseboards, door and walls of the bathroom looked as if they hadn't been cleaned in a looooong time. It was so NASTY that you couldn't hang your towel behind the door. It was cleaner to just throw it on the floor and pick it up when needed. The area rug in the livingroom was so DIRTY with debree that when they finally arrived the next day; after several phone messages, calls, and emails, that we had the cleaning person; [...],roll it up and toss it in the closet. She stated that they didn't have a vacum and just swept the rugs. REALLY?! I asked her if my expectations were too high, as we were NOT staying in a Motel 6, which would have been much cleaner. She wouldn't comment. She told me that they cleaned the room every 3rd day. We were there from Tues; 5/17 to Tues; 5/24. THEY CLEANED THE ROOM ONCE! This was the next day when they addressed my concerns of the NASTY DIRTY APT. The walls are stark white, no art work etc. so the DIRTY walls were very noticeable. For the entire dinning and living area, there was 1 floor lamp, that I had to hang my camera charger from the switch in order for it to stay on! The kitchen; OMG, we had to purchase our own paper towels and deal with a refrid that leaked water on our items! I'M NOT MAKING THIS STUFF UP HERE PEOPLE. I HAVE PICTURES! When asked for wash cloths, was told by [...] that they were on order and the 'guy' knew that they didn't have any. But yet they only gave you 4 towels for 2 peoople! And OMG, if you needed toilet paper, remember there is no one on site, so we had to go and buy our own! I showed the pics to the front desk folks; NOT affiliated with Time Square Place and they thought the less than clean environment was disgusting! At the end of our 8 day stay, there was so much trash in the Kitchen that we could barely move about; remember, no on cleaned the room!!!! I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND AND I WOULD NOT STAY THERE AGAIN EVEN IF IT WERE FREE!

Beautiful 180 degree views of 42nd street! Clean and efficient apartment style. Not Truly a hotel but "rented apartment rooms". Could not leave bags a front counter ( as we arrived early). Did not have enough blankets , towels or TOILET PAPER and had to wait until next day to get them as the office was across town. That being said, I would make sure there was enough of everything when we are shown to our room and definitely stay there again!

Called a week b/4 to ask for early check-in due to flight...was told to call the day b/4. Person said it was possible. Got there at 2:30 and room was not ready until after 3. Receptionist was not very pleasant...said they were not told and there was no place to hold our luggaage. Sat in lobby while maid cleaned the room. We got a room w/out any window treatment. Afternoon sun was glaring. Would opt for a reg. hotel next time around.

Even though the "hotel" room at Times Square Place did not measure up to basic standards, it did not totally spoil our trip to NYC. [...] Given that it is actually one of ten apartments being rented as hotel rooms in an apartment building, I expected much more. As it turned out, even with the terrific location and total courtesy and friendliness of the on-site staff and the people you call for help, I'm still disappointed. The room was dirty. The rug was not vacuumed, the fridge was filthy, the vents in the bathroom were black with dirt or mold. The one lamp in the living area was a pole lamp that could only be operated by pulling the plug in or out of the wall. Free Wi-fi was actually a LAN cord connection. Finally there is no daily room service like a hotel. That's $35 extra or once every 7 days. Big surprise!

This is an apartment in a nice new building and rented out on a nightly basis. It is not a hotel. You get your key from the desk clerk and enter a room that is many times the size of the typical NYC hotel room. Fully equipped kitchen, living room, bedroom, big bath. five minutes walk from the Port Authority Bus Terminal and Times Square. Even though i checked in at 4PM, the room was not ready, but the rental company had her back to finish up in a few minutes. I have stayed at several of these kinds of temporarily vacant apartments around town, and most are a good value if you want a lot of space to spread out and save money by cooking your own meals.

My family and I went to the city to see American Idiot and wanted a place close to the theater. I was very surprised at how wonderful Time Square Place was. The staff was professional and very helpful. The room was clean with beautiful views of the city. I will stay at the Time Square Place for my next trip into the city..

The Hotel was advertized (and priced) as a 4 star hotel with amenities (sport club etc). It ended up being a rented aprtment in a nice apt building, but the doorman are not hotel staff and were not interested (aactually got irritated) that the apt was rented for short term periods. There is a sport club in the building for which (apparently) tenents need to pay an extra $300 per year (yes per year) in order to have access to the club. They did not! So we were not allowed to access the club. There was a single lighting fixture in the living room which left the entire room quite dark. There was a coffee maker without filters without a grain of coffee, so fo a stay of 4 nights we had to go and buy filters, coffee ,milk etc. There is no room cleaning service (or any other service for that matter) If you do not mind extreme level of noise - this apt is well located. Do not expect more than location. All in all we were quite disapointed given the price charged!!!
