Super 8 Newburgh - West Point, Stewart Intl Airport

The staff was friendly but the rooms could have been cleaner. cigarette burns in the sheets and foreign hairs in the bed.

Being on the ground floor the room smelled musty and the bathroom smelled like urine! Refrigerator was cold. Bed was comfortable.

Attended a family re-union, visited the water front, saw some old class-mates and friends.The motel was clean and the employees were well customer service orientated. This was one of many trips and stays at this motel and I will be back.

Great experience

We stayed at the Super 8 in Newburgh, because it was a Christmas Gift for my son. My son was diagnosed as autistic at the age of 3. He enjoys staying at hotels for Christmas and he enjoys Super 8. However, this was not a satisfactory stay. The TV in the room needed to be replaced as there was no longer a full screen on the TV. We slept late so I didn't expect the room to be cleaned, but the bathroom sink the wood frame was chipping and falling apart. There was no where to dispose of trash, the containers in the room were quite small and not able to handle more than 2 plates and cups at one time. On the last day/night of our stay there was a storm. I was unable to get any TV or Internet Service. I called the clerk and he confirmed that. Strangely enough other facilities and homes in the area had TV and Internet Service. As we were leaving I saw internet service in the lobby. This was by far and away the worst stay I ever had at Super 8.

THEFT!Hotel was mediocre at best. Had items stolen from room. Maid initially claimed nothing was found, but later cracked under pressure from police. She admitted theft and was arrest and charged. "[...]" claimed she would be firing the woman and asked us to not take any action against them. Later we learned from the detective handling the case that she was indeed not fired at all, and still continues to work there to this day. DO NOT STAY HERE. THEFT and bad service. They even went so far as to claim that we had dogs in the room as some sort of counter to us reporting the theft, although we had not brought any animals with us.

The experience was great. It provided me with everything I needed and the breakfast was simple yet good.

simple cheap place to stay. tv, wireless internet, refrigerator, microwave for less than $100.

Went "home" for my 40th class reunion @ Wallkill High. The hotel was conveniently located to all the surrounding towns & events planned for the occasion. Free breakfast every morning, quiet at night. [...] Central location to fine dining, family dining, shopping, site seeing.

can't complain about its location. quick shot to route 17. Hotel is right in some of the action. Super wallmart and Target just up the street. Newburgh Mall and Marshals up the other way. Cool country, slash garden store, slash supermarket offers interesting choices. Our room was a little stinky when you put on the a/c. Maybe a filter needed changing. We just cracked the window and left the sucker off. I'm sure the problem was the room itself. can't imagine that the other rooms had the same problem. It wasn't horrible but it wasn't irish spring either. We didn't complain because so many places do not allow pets and we like to travel with ours. smelled like an irresponsible person let their animal pee in the room and never bothered to thoroughly clean after themselves, leaving the air blowing and scent trapped in the central air unit. Hope such carelessness doesn't scratch this hotel off the list of pet friendly. If you bring pets come prepared for accidents please, or better yet, plan to walk your animal regularly during your stay like you would at home.
