Experience here was OK -- great location, but room needed updating. It was dark and also it was New Year's Eve so there was some noise. A fire alarm got us up on Monday morning without apology from the hotel -- apparently someone burned toast.

Stayed for two nights on a business trip. Rooms were dated but clean. Staff friendly. One of the elavators was broken, that was a pain. Otherwise, ok. Close to everything.

Booked hotel as it was 10 minutes walking distance from the main street armory where Korn was playing. I would recommend this place if you're looking for something cheap and only staying a night or two. The staff was really friendly and it looks like renovations are being done to the building.

at first I thought the prx for a night is expensive but it's only 15 minute drive away from the airport. it's located inside of loop of Rochester and theater district and meuseums are within a short walk distance. The hotel staff are friendly and the food was great. the hotel room is clean and spacious. it's very pleasant to stay. there is a hall on the 2nd floor and it's good to have a big family party, wedding reception etc.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. However, the hotel is a bit rundown. The carpets in the room were stained, not due to a lack of cleanliness, but just from age. It is well maintained, but in need of a good remodeling.
Good amenities. The business center was helpful but overpriced -- as is to be expected -- over a dollar per page for printing and $5 just to log onto computer.
The restaurant was not too bad, the food was flavorful and the staff was nice -- it was a pleasant place to have dinner.
Overall, it is a perfectly fine place for a business stay and the amenities were all good, just a bit rundown.

This hotel has signs of being once very nice, but it has not been tended to. For the price of less than $100 per room you can overlook the wall paper peeling off the walls, the drop ceiling that looks like it is going to drop completely. While the staff is friendly, they do not seem to be interested in their jobs or if you have a pleasant stay. Still, the location is great and it is nice to have a budget hotel in the center of the city. The rooms appear to be clean (though they could take a few minutes to wash the windows). I would stay at this hotel again.

Stayed 2 nights, both nights the wireless internet service kept going in and out; would work for 5 minutes then shut down. Another person i was traveling with had the same problem. When i asked at the front desk if anyone else had reported a problem, i was told i could call the administrator help line.

We spent only one night & were very satisfied. The beds were so comfortable - we felt like we were sleeping on clouds! Delicious continental breakfast. Pool was a little small - but our girls enjoyed it thoroughly. Very clean, pleasant service & although it's located at the airport - I only remember hearing 2 planes! I would stay here again!

Super location for Rochester Airport. You can literally walk into the terminal. The rooms were surprising well decorated and clean. Towels were pretty skimpy & thin, and our room had some sort of plumbing issue where the sink drained terribly slow and gurgled often. What was really odd was that both desk clerks at check in & check out had their complete demeanor change when they saw I booked through Orbitz. "Oh, you used Orbitz..." . Not sure what that was about, but when both of them did it, it was rather odd...

Checked in @ 1:45 am after a long drive. The clerk was very friendly and helpful.
There was plenty of parking spaces and not a long walk to room. The room was spacious and in good shape. We went right to bed.
Awoke to find that the complimentary coffee was there but there was no carafe to brew into.
There was no hair dryer also. Other than those issues it was comfortable,convenient,and not expensive. The staff were great. Thanks

The hotel is very close to the university. Recentlly renovated. All the people are very polite and friendly. There is one washer and one dryer, but they were always available. there are also a small pool and asmall gym. The rooms are big enough and there is wireless internet.
When I wanted to print something (like boarding passes), it was for free.

The hotel was in a convenient location, in walking distance to 3 great restaurants, across the street from Monroe Community College. The hotel as centrally located near shopping areas in an upscale neighborhood. The downside was the pool was invaded by a dozen preteen boys on a field trip. Consequently, I was not able to enjoy the jazzuci the way I had invisioned and given the price I paid ($150 per night) I expected to be free of this kind of chaos.

I was put in a smoking room (I think I failed to request non-smoking) and it definitely smelled of smoke. The hotel gladly exchanged my room upon request. The staff was excellent and friendly!!

We arrived early at 1PM (checkin 3PM) no rooms were ready, asked for a call when our room would be ready and left for lunch, we returned at 4PM (no call) and finally the room was just done. Upon arriving we had doubts as to wether the sheets had been changed, the bed was uncomfortable and the linens were poor quality. We tried the complimentary breakfast once and after that we were coffee only people. We are not usually that particular but once was enough and when we return it wouldn't be here.

The hotel staff was friendly and accommodating. I can't say anything but good things about them. The rooms were comfortably furnished - great TV, nicely made beds (no bedspreads which I appreciate and triple sheets so that the blankets are encased) and reasonably clean. The mattresses were good but the pillows, while numerous, were really lumpy.In all a good place to stay for a quick stay.

The hotel is conveniently located and the staff was very kind and helpful. There is only one elevator and it is slow. Free breakfast surpassed expectations but too crowded on the weekend. Overall positive experience.

Clean, friendly atmosphere.
A big surprise was the morning breakfast. Good variety and very good quality of food items featuring an eggs/omelette and waffle station. Preparer was friendly and efficient. Waitstaff supporting the breakfast was courteous and friendly.
Management frequently checked to make sure everyone was satisfied.

Near airport location with lots of restaurants nearby BUT the breakfast buffet is ridiculous. Doesn't open until 7:30, hostess makes everyone sit down while she gives instructions and then everyone rushes to get in a long, slow line. I drank a cup of coffee and headed to Burger King.

I just stayed here for one night, as I had business in downtown Rochester. The drive to downtown was easy (10 minutes), and this hotel was considerably cheaper than those right downtown. The room was nice and clean, staff was friendly, and they had a very nice free breakfast downstairs in the morning (eggs, bacon, cereal, oatmeal, bagels, etc). The area was ok- not the nicest, but not a bad area or unsafe by any means. There's a gas station next door, and there is some food there (pizza/sandwiches), but otherwise you'd need to drive to get something to eat. The bottom line: I think it's a good option if you'd like a clean place to stay that has good rooms, that will give you a free breakfast, and isn't super expensive. I would stay there again.

Good choice for University of Rochester visitors

This was my 3rd time staying at this hotel. I keep choosing this hotel primarily because of its distance from the University of Rochester. Unbeknownst to us during our 1st visit, there is a foot bridge right behind the hotel that takes you right over the the University. Overall, it was a pretty good hotel. There is free breakfast, a shuttle, pool, fitness center and the hotel is very clean. The housekeeping staff are the kindest and hardest working people there and the kitchen is phenomenal for a hotel! There is a full fridge with a freezer, microwave, dishwasher, dishes and cherry cabinets. Also, it is very close the the airport (ROC). On the somewhat downside, I wish the shuttle ran more often and that there were more places nearby to shop and dine. There is also a small discount for those affiliated with the University, but it is still quite pricey. All in all, there are more pros than cons.

the rooms were comfortable and clean!! The one thing that would have made my stay smoother would have been if the shuttle ran all day. they offer shuttle service to the university , downtown , and to the airport. However the shuttles only run from 6-10 and then 5-10 this was useful for approximately 1 out of the 5 trips i needed . Over all though the hotel was a definite revisit .
