The service was awesome. The room was wonderfully decorated and very clean. I thoroughly enjoyed the pool and jacuzzi. The hotel is just off the highway and minutes from The Vista.

We have stayed at three other Country Inns & Suites in the past year, and have always have been quite happy with the environment, facilities and staff. However, this time they put us into Room 116 which is alongside the elevator, and it was a loud rumbling sound from behind the Headboards of our queen beds... The Manager, or Desk Attendant, [I'm not sure which] whom I talked to in the morning stated that we should not have been put into that room... that 216 and 316 had the same problem... He was sympathetic, but of course this was after the fact... I still think this Hotel group is superior to others where we have stayed... Just check your location in the building before using the room.

We had a nice room and the staff was great. Nothing really stood out, just a good location, clean room and the breakfeast bar was nice (although too small). The cleaning staff did get started a little early for a 12 noon checkout. Would not hesitate to stay there again.

This hotel easy to get to from I-20 on the east side of Columbia. The rooms are newly updated and spotless. The pool is also spotless and in a place that's not visible from non-guests. The hostess checking us in was cheerful and efficient. I've stayed in this property before and it's even nicer than before because of the renovation.

My friends and I were in town for a graduation ceremony at Fort Jackson. When we drove up to the hotel, it looked very nice, just like on the web site. The lobby & rooms are lovely. We had some really helpful staff members--the airline lost our luggage & had it delivered at 2:30AM the day of the ceremony. We wanted to avoid last minute panic shopping so we asked the front desk if they would slip a note under our door when it arrived, which they did & we SO appreciated. The breakfast buffet was the best one I've ever been to at a hotel. It was nice to get (free) yummy Otis Spunkmeyer cookies and daily paper too.
While there were 2 drawbacks (hot tub not working & a obviously dirty glass that was never replaced by the cleaning staff) , I definitely recommend staying here.

[...]. After I booked, I immediately called the hotel direct to see what kind of room I would have. I was given a room w/ a king size bed. I would have preferred 2 queen beds since I was traveling w/ my 18 yrd old son. When I asked if there were any other rooms available I was told the hotel was completely sold out. The hotel is across the street from a Mall and many many restaurants and stores. I found the area to be very congested with traffic all the 4 days that I was there. Housekeeping was great. Room was very clean. I would have hoped there was an indoor pool, but there was not. Exercise room very small , only 3 pieces of equipment.

Hotel was nice. Perfect location for us. The only issue I had was a cold shower on Sunday Morning. I mentioned it to the front desk when I checked out and was told possibly everyone was showering at the same time and the hot water heater was 'over compensating'. Restaurant had great food and drinks !!

Everything was okay until the middle of the night when I was awaken by the train that runs right up against the building, several times that night. If you don't intend to get any sleep this is a nice hotel for the money.

Location was great for visit to Fort Jackson, asked for extra towel and I promise you could see through the towel. There was a sport group staying at the motel and they were quiet but the continental breakfast was almost none existent. It was a place to sleep that was close to Fort Jackson.

Came to Columbia to see our grandson graduate from boot camp at Ft. Jackson. Columbia Marriott was ok but the maids were terrible. We had a 3 day stay and I had to call 2 of those days to get linens. No wash clothes, 1 hand towel. I asked if they had a shortage on linens!! One evening the restaurant just decided to close. No warning. This place was not for us. We will not stay here again. The only thing going for this is that they have a great location. We went to the Museum of Art across the street..great. Places to grab a bite right across the street. The front desk people and valet service were very friendly but don't expect much for your room. They put us right where the elevator opened and listened to that all night. There was some convention with a million teenagers all yelling in the lobby all the time. I don't think we will be staying here again.

This was the perfect place to stop for a quick overnight stay in the middle of a 1,200 mile trip -- very easy access on and off the interstate. The 2 bedroom suite was perfect for me, my elderly parents and my pets! The facility was new, clean and well-equipped. The staff was friendly and the complimentary breakfast was much appreciated. Restaurants and gas stations were nearby allowing us to waste no time getting back on the road. I would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to friends.

Nicely located, about a minute from highway, 15 minutes from midtown downtown, beautiful and many places to eat since its near college, variety of foods. Hotel had breakfast, covered all the basics. Rooms are confortable, free wifi.

The lobby was not especially impressive, but the staff was friendly, and the room was excellent. Everything looked brand new, and the bed ws comfortable. My only complaint was one I almost always have wherever I go: There needs to be brighter light around the mirror! Although this was a busness trip so I did not have a dog with me, I frequently travel with a dog, and I was delighted to learn that LaQuinta allows pets.

Book this room for my mother that was visiting my brother at Fort Jackson. She was pleasantly surprised in this hotel, as her original option was booked up and also a bit pricey. The staff was helpful and the rooms we on par with the higher priced options in the area.

The Holiday Inn Express at Columbia-Fort Jackson was nothing short of fantastic. The rooms are comfortable and clean,wi-fi was reliable, housekeeping was timely, and it was within walking distance of several places to eat. And if you can't get to sleep in these beds, what can I say?? A great value when visiting Columbia,SC.

Don't spend your money here. The staff are nice, and there is free wi-fi, but for ~$10 or so less I could've stayed at a nicer Motel 6. The walls of the room were stained and dirty, the A/C worked sometimes, and the room had a funky smell when I entered. The curtains should've closed the window more, and the mold in the bathroom was obvious. The "continental breakfast" is a joke, and you can see roaches in the food area of the breakfast kitchen. So, you decide.

Hotel is clean, staff excellent, it is considered extended stay so maid service is weekly. We were there for three days, hence no maid service. It is about 10 minutes from gate 2 of Fort Jackson. The room was equipped with a full fridge, stove, microwave and dishwasher. Everything we needed was near by.

I went to Ft.Jackson to see him graduate and spend time with him. Your hotel was one step ahead of me at everything except ONE! I would get back late and your handicap parking spaces always had cars that didn't belong there!!!!!!One night your security guard really helped e out by getting that person to move his SUV.Hats off to him.

2nd time, will definitely go back. Really very comfortable, attractive, renovate rooms in old bank building, convenient to downtown restaurants, attractions, walk to Vista. Hardwood floors, luxurious king beds, big comfortable room and bathroom. No noise on weekends. Definitely stay again. Only drawback: expensive ($22/nt) valet parking, but on street ample after 6 and on Sunday. Bar in old bank vault plus really fun rooftop bar with view of city.
