Hotel was recently built and had a great design and look to the rooms. Bed and bathroom were spacious, everything was clean, and didn't hear any noise from neighboring rooms. Walkable from the hotel to all the restaurants and shops downtown. Would definitely stay again.

after driving all day we arrived late at the hotel. the lobby seemed nice but everything after that was downhill. you felt dirty just being in the rooms. if it was not for just finishing an all day drive we would have left that night to find another hotel. we left first thing in the morning and found another hotel in greenville for our second night there.

Enjoyed my stay at LaQuinta Inn & Suites. The shuttle was a very convenient service. My room had a small refrig. and microwave. Short driving distance from Haywood Mall and good restaurants. The free breakfast was adequate. The beds were comfortable. The staff very accomodating to my needs. I would recommend this hotel.

I appreciate having space and there was plenty of it. The exterior and interior is somewhat worn and frayed but not unexpected given the great rate. The staff at the front desk were great, location is very good and its nice having a fridge, microwave and oven and even a covered patio area!!! There was difficulty with internet service that was addressed 24-48 hours later. I had some struggles with the thermostat. All in all I would certainly return.

Upon arrival at the hotel, we learned that our room that was supposed to sleep 4 would only sleep 3, and that as an extended stay, there were no rollaway beds available. Fortunately, they were able to move us to another room where all 4 of us could sleep. [...]The hotel seems well-used, and somewhat dingy. Housekeeping did not run our dishwasher, even when all the dishes were dirty and loaded into it. We had to ask for dishwasher soap and run it ourselves. Even though we clearly had 4 in the room, and used ALL the towels, they kept leaving us only 2 or 3 replacements each day, which meant we had to go get extras daily.I'm not interested in staying there again.

Friendly front-desk, greeted with some wine and beer at check-n, upgraded to a very clean, spacious room, and everyone was extremely friendly. The pool was a little small and the fitness center is really just a single treadmill, but I didn't have time to use either of them anyway.

We stayed here 1 night and the room is nice and clean and very nicely decorated. We were very impressed upon first entering. I have one observation and one complaint. There wasn't much room to walk between the bottom of the beds and the dressers, only room for one person. The bed I slept in was extremely unformfortable and made for a horrible nights sleep. There appeard to be a huge hump in the bed right where my hip hit and caused me some major discomfort all night and into the next day. I would not stay at this particular motel again just for this reason. The breakfast was excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed it. If not for the bed, I would highly recommend this motel.

The hotel is very nice. It's a newer hotel that was very clean and the staff were super friendly. They allowed me to check-in early due to my flight arriving earlier in the AM. I had no issues with this place at all and will stay again in the future. Plenty of places to eat and drink within walking distance plus located by lots of shopping centers.

Wonderful hotel. It is gorgeous on the outside and on main street near the river. The beds are probably the most comfortable of any hotel. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because there is no fridge and the movie selection on the tv was poor. I would not stay anywhere else after experiencing this hotel.

We needed a quick getaway and the Poinsett was perfect. With the historical charm AND the modern rooms, it was a perfect mix. Our room was a large standard King with all the expected amentities and products. The staff was friendly and we particularly enjoyed having a drink in the bar complete with tuxedoed and talented pianist who played old standards with a new twist...reflective of the hotel itself. The location is walking distance to wonderful restaurants, bars and the theater. Wonderful experience and we will go back.

they are in the midst of remodeling and there are some issues with that, but I had one of the newly remodeled rooms and it was a great room. Well appointed, great bed, and I would gladly stay there again. When they finish the remodeling, I suspect it will be a 4.5-5.0 overall..
this is Hotel is best suited for business traveler's. Not well suited for families in my estimation

With Downtown Greenville steps away, Pettigru House is a great alternative to cookie cutter chains. The rooms are comfortable. The hospitality is superb- homemade cookies, tea, coffee. Fantastic home cooked breakfast.

I was looking for an inexpensive place to stay overnight in Greenville and although the overall ratings don't reflect it this was good for the money. For the rate I received I got a clean room with clean linens and towels. They had free breakfast and Wi-Fi. What more can you expect for a room that is less than $75 a night. If I had an overnight stay again I wouldn't hesitate to stay here. OH...and Krispy Kreme is across the road!!!

To get into the hotel at first was a little challenging but we finally figured it out.
The bath tub was extremely slow draining - I forgot to tell the front desk. The shower curtain was mildewed at the bottom & there was mildew on shower tiles. The sheets on the bed are not for an active sleeper. But really all those were minor - it was a otherwise clean & quiet place to sleep/shower and go from.
The breakfast was OK. The guy who ran it saved it from complete disappointment. He would cook to order - other then that it was a mediocre offering. The cook was very pleasant & upbeat.

The room was clean and comfortable and the shower was nice and hot. The heater was excellent and I did not need to use it all the time.
The breakfast was excellent. I have never had the owner/manager of a hotel cook my eggs and pancakes plus bring it to my table when it was done. Everything was home made and the service was above what I expected.
My overall stay was very good!

The first room had a foul smelling refrigerator & we were moved immediately. The next room & appliances were clean. The bed was comfortable but the bedding was old and there were several areas of cigarette burns in the comforter. There were plenty of towels, soap & shampoo. There was no traveller information in the room nor were there signs to hang on the door. The staff was extremely nice & helpful. Was quiet during the night. For the money we saved it was well worth it. We paid the extra $5/night for the upgraded room with the frig, microwave, & larger work desk. Plenty of room for my disabled friend and all of our baggage. A coffee pot would have been nice.

We live an hour away but wanted to do back to school shopping for our 7 year old so we made a trip out of it. There are 3 floors with no elevator and all stairs. Our room was at the very end where everyone enters the hall. All night we could here the entrance door slam and stomping above. The kitchenette had a very limited supply of...EVERYTHING. The pool was very small, and had a crowd of fire ants. Our room smelled like a sewer and the mattress needs replacing as well as the pull out spring, I mean sofa bed and towels. The check in clerk was very nice, however the evening clerk has an attitude problem. They do not offer room service unless you stay 6 days or more. The high point of this hotel is that it is located in the very center of everything.

I have nothing bad to say about this place. Our stay was very peaceful! Every staff member we spoke with made us feel more than welcome to be there. We were extremely happy about all of the space in the room and especially the kitchen! We definitely did not expect to have a full kitchen! Kind of dirty the room. Bathroom tiny. There is no variety in the breakfast. I'll say ok... You get what you pay.$20 cheaper than booking with the hotel.
