staff was nice, rooms were clean. the only draw back was the rooms were a little small.

I was extremely disappointed with this hotel. It was outdated, boring, uncomfortable and cheap. The staff was immature and clueless, albeit polite. The room(s) was small, the television tiny, the bathroom the size of an airplane bathroom. It reminded me of the many times I've stayed in cheap hostels traveling around Europe, instead of the nice hotel I was expecting/hoping for. The room was so uncomfortable that I actually decided to cut my trip short and go home early, instead of staying an extra day in Houston. The location was good; in the heart of downtown a close drive to the museums, gay bars, and arena. My trip to Houston was for pleasure and fun, so I was looking beyond function for a more relaxing, comfortable hotel experience; this hotel was lacking in the amenities and comfort that I was searching for. The staff, in general, was very pleasant, I must say, however, they were a bit clueless and made a few minor mistakes.

We enjoyed the hotel and would definitely stay here again.In fact,we will be returning to Houston in 2 wks. and will stay at this hotel. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. It is in a great location,walking distance to many things. The room was very clean and hotel well maintained.I was a little nervous booking since it is older but we were pleasantly surpirsed.

Walking distance to Convention Center, nice place to stay & save some money, comfortable will stay again when I’m in Houston. Hotel staff very friendly and helpful

This is an overall good value conveniently located in Downtown Houston. The rooms are rather small but have all the necessary amenities you would expect and the rooms and common areas and clean and modern. My only complain was that when my car was valeted it was apparently parked under a tree and returned to me covered with bird droppings.

We got to the hotel and we were put in a smoker's room. My reservation read non-smoking. The front desk move me and the family to another room but this time it was smaller than my original resevation. Finally the front desk made it better by upgrading me to the presidential suite at no extra charge. After the first hour everything was better.

My wife and I reached the hotel late in the night at around 11:30pm. One surprise for me was that there was no free parking, although I suppose I should have expected that since the hotel is located in downtown Houston. The valet parking was $18 until checkout (12pm the next day). After driving around for 10 minutes, I found that none of the parking lots near the hotel have any attendants and there was no clear way to get a 24hr parking permit, only a nightly permit. So I decided to go with the valet, and that went very smoothly. Otherwise the hotel was quite comfortable and the staff was very friendly and helpful. They have free use of computers and printers in the lobby area and I was able to buy and print online tickets ($5 cheaper) to the Space Center. We woke up too late to have breakfast there (which closed at 9:30am), so I don't know about that. But there was a Chipotle restaurant nearby where we picked up lunch before heading out to the Space Center. In hindsight we should perhaps have booked a hotel closer to the Space Center, but that was okay since we got a feel for downtown Houston by staying there.

everyone wa helpful and kind and overall it was good! No complaints really! Good value!

Pros - Price! Close to several places open late for dinner around the corner on Broadway. Fitness room well appointed if small. Comfortable beds, nice desk and closet, great bathroom as long as you don't require a tub. Cons - Was given a smoking room, though got over the smell once in it a few minutes. Resturant/bar kept closing early. Elevator kept being problematic, though staff was very helpful each time.

VERY CLEAN IN GOOD LOCATION AND FRIENDLY STAFF. ROOM WAS READY UPON MY ARRIVAL. CHECK IN SERVICE WENT VERY SMOOTHLY. WOULD STAY HERE AGAIN.
