Omni Charlottesville Hotel

Great location at the top of the historic walking mall by restaurants and shops. Room was very comfortable, the only thing missing was a directory of local activities and dining options. Our room looked out into an indoor courtyard, very nice view. Be sure to bring gym clothes and bathing suit! Great weekend getaway, lots to do.

The Omni Charlottesville has a lot going for it and we will definitely return. It's perfectly situated on the edge of the historic downtown area and a few short minutes away from the University of Virginia. It is close to Monticello. The rooms are clean and well appointed and the staff is cheerful, helpful and efficient. The restaurant on the ground floor offered yummy, well-priced food. A minor criticism would be the slow flow of water in the shower. While we appreciate the need to conserve water, and especially hot water for a hotel full of guests, we were surprised at the antiquated system in our bathroom that delivered warm water at a very slow rate. Showers took three or four times the usual time! We will certainly return and thank the staff at the Omni Charlottesville for a very nice stay.

The Omni is situated on the west end of the Historic Mall in Charlottesville. Guests have easy access to all the entertainment and restaurants in an exciting area of Charlottesville, including coffee houses, wine bar/restaurants, movie houses, the ice rink, and the renovated historic gem --The Paramount Theatre. In addition, a short walk to the West of the Mall brings more wonderful restaurants. The only thing missing is that the Hotel does not carry the New York Times.

Nice staff, free parking and internet, spotless room, quiet. Stayed in many places in C'ville. THIS is the place. And right on the downtown pedestrian mall; movies, shopping, food. Perfecto.

Pluses: Location was great, right in front of the pedestrian mall. Loved the bed+bedding -- super cozy and comfortable. Also had a lovely view out the window. Staff seems friendly. Nice that parking was free. Some minor issues were: our rate did not include breakfast; Internet was free but you had first register to be a "Select Guest" which was a bit time consuming if you're in a hurry. Can hear noisy guests talking in the hallway which was an annoyance in the middle of the night.

on the way to a seminar, I stopped to visit my son, a student at U Va, I always try to stay at the Omni due to its location and uncommon consistency and comfort. Dinner was great at Mono Loco next door above the mall too.

We arrived tired after a drive cross-country and many other hotel stays. This was a quiet, clean, well-located, welcoming hotel. Just perfect.

The Omni Charlottesville was a great hotel. The staff was super friendly. I left a bag in the room after I checked out and they offered to FedEx it to me in Pennsylvania for free.

This hotel is in the perfect location to Charlottesville's Pedestrian Mall. There were many restaurants within walking distance.

The service and room were great. Unfortunatly the walls were paper thin and we could hear everthing (even nose blowing). A couple parties on the floor and there was no sleep to be had until after 3am.
