Clarion Inn & Suites Virginia Beach

Hotel is on a great area. Staff very friendly. Rooms are clean. Breakfast.... No so good, could really use some improvement!!!! Will definelly come back!

Was very nice inside room. The refridgerator froze all of our food. There was not an abundance of hot water for morning shower. The staff was attentive and very polite.

Warning: If you are paying higher rate for Ocean front view, please keep in mind that it's not true Ocean front view. The hotel is situated on the other side of the road, so from most rooms, you just see the hotels in front of you. Only from a few rooms on the higher floor, you can see some beach/ocean water between two neighboring hotels! And all the poor front desk person say is - sorry you paid higher, but I can't offer you any ocean view rooms! Apart from the above, hotel rooms are nice and comfortable, bathroom was very small (not sure if it's the same in all the rooms). Overall good for the value and can get to the beach by just crossing the road.

The room is clean. Steps to the beach. Great restaurants around. Staff helpful but charged for our prepaid stay.

We could not get over how incredible this trip was. We stayed in the most expensive hotel on the strip last year, and the kindness of the staff did not compare to what we experienced at Clarion. They were so eager to please! Clean. Ocean view. Wonderful! We will always stay here.

Was a great stay and would definitely stay again. Was not an oceanfront hotel but in good walking distance. Room was very comfortable and had beautiful colors and coordination. The staff extremely nice and helpful.

We really enjoyed this hotel. The rooms were beautiful, clean, and spacious. The staff was friendly and the location was ideal. The only downside was their version of a continental breakfast was not even close to other hotels. It was without to say the least and if you wanted hot food you had to pay an extra $6 per person for over 12 years of age. What they offered was not worth $6 per person because it is what is on the continental breakfast at other hotels.

Really enjoyed the stay here! Check in was very simple, any questions were answered. Rooms very big, comfortable. If we needed anything, extra towels, housekeeping was very prompt! All we had to do was walk across the street to get to the Boardwalk and beach! Would definitely stay here again.

This is a newly remodeled hotel. The amenities are new and modern. There is an ocean view front as long as your room is facing Atlantic Avenue and not Pacific Avenue. The breakfast area is new, modern, and clean. However, there are some underlying issues they need to address. The pipes in the bathroom shook and rattled all day. It was very noisy. I could have requested a change, but that was our second room. The first room HVAC did not work. When we reported the problem we were promised someone would check it the next morning. At noon time no one had arrived. I called the desk again and maintenance was sent within two minutes. Check your bank account after checking in. They charged us a $250.00 fee erroneously and did not inform us of such. Had we not been checking our account by coincidence, we would not have known about the charge until receiving our bank statement weeks later.

The amenities, location, and room cleanliness were all good. But unfortunately the owners do not care about the noise generated by their elevator all night long. Do not stay in a room on either side of the hotel on the 6th floor. The motor runs constantly all night long. Unfortunately we did not find out until it was really too late to move rooms. You would have thought if the hotel had more rooms, the desk clerk would issue that one last. The desk clerk was less than sympathetic and did not initially respond to our issue/complaint.
