Psyched
A step back in time
Clean, yet dated rooms. Wallpaper in bathroom needed to be replaced...ripped and or coming off the wall. Noisy bathroom blower. No marble here....modest accommodations...comfortable bed and pillows....heard traffic outside window (sounded like drivers scooping the loop) until after midnight but quiet on Friday night. Work out facility area is the size of a walk in closet with an elliptical, 2 treadmills, and a bike...no weight or weight machines here. Parking charge additional 3 dollars a night in the city's garage connected to hotel was a hidden cost and a surprise to me!! No Starbucks nearby just a few local coffee joints. Stores open 10 or later nearby and no corner or Quick Trip types of stored within walking distance...so I bought water and snacks at hotel's vending machines. College students at front desk were pleasant and helpful.

Holiday Inn has a shuttle service to and from airport. Other hotels in the area may be better bang for the buck! Expect dining quality in LaCrosse to be primarily fish fry. Limited for high quality fish cuisine. Pizza is offered at this Holiday Inn.

All within just a walk
The accommodations were nice. Easy check in and check out. Many restraurants in walking distance. Close to waterfront. Saw very little staff in hotel.

Decent Hotel - great location
Decent Holiday Inn in a great location. Seemed silly they charge for parking (even though it's just $3 a night - just the principle) Other parking is free down in the downtown area. Fantastic homemade ice cream shop accross the street, I would highly recommend. Comfy beds, nice staff, could use a bit of udating as far as carpet and decor, but still fairly updated.

Right place, right time
We purposely picked a hotel within walking distance to the downtown area to avoid driving around. This enabled us to freely walk to wherever we wanted to go and shop, eat, drink, etc. This place was centrally located for our destinations.

Worst service ever!
The staff was terribly rude and uncooperative; they would not accommodate my 85 year old mother in law who has trouble walking for long periods of time. We complained to the management and all they did was change our room, which didn't solve anything. [...] the hotel charged me over $200 for smoking when we didn't even smoke!!! Now we're dealing with corporate trying to get my money back, because the hotel management is rude and unwavering.

Holiday Inn La Crosse
Easy check-in, very polite, friendly, and knowledgeable staff. They directed me to park in the garage adjacent to the hotel, so I would not have to clear off snow. (parking is $3.00 extra) They couldn't have been more accommodating for any request. The hotel and room are very clean. Nice big whirlpool with lots of towels. Pool is small but good for the little ones. Restaurant on-site is decent with something for everyone, including free breakfast for kids. Room service is also available. I always stay there when in LaCrosse. AARP & AAA discounts, too.

Nice place!!
We liked the hotel and it's convenient location to the riverfront. We walked everywhere. Room was very clean and A/C was quieter than in other hotels. We would stay there again if in the area.
