Tamani Hotel Marina

location is good but furniture needs upgrade and extra towel at bathrooms

The Tamani Marina Hotel is located on the Marina with lovely views of the bay or the city. Unfortunately, the rooms are not being kept as they have in the past. My family of four had to switch rooms because the first room had food on the carpet. The second room, which was on a non-smoking floor, had been used for smoking and the fire detectors covered with tinfoil. When this was mentioned to the head of maintanence he laughed uncomfortabley. The good aspects of this room are its space, location and the comfort of the beds. I would not stay here again unless I got a very good deal.

WARNING. This is an islamic hotel and this fact is not mentioned or outlined in the discription of the hotel. Islamic hotel means no bar, no alcohol, no entertainment, no mini bar, no night life, interruption of the TV program at prayer times, etc. The restaurant facilities and the food is less than average and expected. The rooms are the smallest rooms I ever experienced as a frequent traveller around the world. It is almost impossible to walk around the bed. The pictures displayed in the hotel description are out of 120 m2 suits. But not of the standard rooms. The first hand attactive rate is overcompensated by the tiny size of the rooms and additonal costs (e.g. parking costs for car at 20 UAE DHS, internet extra charges 25 UAE DHS/H, etc.). In other hotels in Dubai this is normally free of charge. The staff is unfriendly and restrictive applying islamic rules. RECOMMENDATION: If somebody wants to spend a couple of sunny days in the nice Marina area of Dubai, this hotel is definatelly a no go!!!!!

it is not worth staying there without anyservices provided. it is af if you are living in poor area appartment but with high price tag

The Tamani Marina Hotel "I must say i had doubts about this hotel but i was wrong" I stayed there for 2 weeks with my family, in a 2 bedroom self catering apartment with a Palm view which was excellent the rooms were clean, tidy and very spacious with all facilities. Great for families. The hotel had great facilities what you would expect in a 4/5 star hotel. The staff were very helpful and polite which is brilliant when you have kids of all ages. The hotel does offer facilities like free trips to the malls and other excellent trips around Dubai. I will book this hotel again, next time i go to Dubai. Regarding building work it has just finished so it is much quiet. The AREA: hardly any shops apart from one supermarket which is a minute away, cab's are just outside the hotel, the metro is just £2 by cab from the hotel, takes you to all the major shopping centres we used this most of the time. Thank you to the team at the Tamani Hotel for making my holiday a memorable experience.

Free of distractions

A great hotel with great facilities and very helpful staff. I went away for a peaceful break and that is exactly what I got. Everything I needed was under one roof, and if anything was lacking the friendly staff were always there to helpout. Highly recommended, and also in a fantastic location. Dubai Marina region is truly beautiful and so is this hotel, its interiors, facilities and service.

The Hotel is supposed to have an excellent view, however i was given a room with terrible view in the 3rd floor overlooking a construction site, probably because of the special price. I didn't like the interior design of the hotel; some areas are quite gloomy and there is no bathtub in the small bathroom. I wouldn't stay there for holiday, but for a business trip it does the job; good price, good location and nice friendly staff.

The Hotel location was good which I think is the only 5-star thing in the hotel besides the mattress quality. The room was very small. The bathroom was tiny; the towel place was right on top of the bowl! There was only Shampoo & Bath Gel in the bathroom, No lotion, No conditioner! Shower room was very small; I think it is better to be a 4-star hotel considering the cleanness and comfort. Other than that, I would call it a 3-star hotel. Thanks, Bon

I was very disappointed....I booked this hotel through yourselfs and on the voucher it said queen bed when it was a single bed. the room was not up to 5 star and there were leaks over the bathroom, A/C was poor. low level room with traffic and construction noise. the floor seemed like it was a converted area or previously back of house. the restaurant was at ground level next to road works although screened but very brightly lit and cold. pool very small. if looking for a 5 star hotel this does not match others in the grade...i did complain to hotel who offered me free upgrade on my next stay....
