I wouldn’t stay again, not worth the price

Terrible directions of how to get there.
There is no drop off area, only way to get a vehicle near is to go into the short stay car park which is £10 for first hour.
The only hotel in England they’ve ever demanded passport or driving licence of the person who booked, so if you book this hotel for someone else, make sure you put the name of one of the people staying.
The room was nice though, clean, had a nice shower, it is very convenient for the NORTH terminal, and is right next to the easyJet check in desks, expensive for the convenience though

Thank you for choosing the Hampton by Hilton London Gatwick and for taking the time and trouble to leave a review of your experience with us.I am very sorry that you felt the directions to our hotel were terrible, from the short stay carpark there are numerous signs indicating our location, however, I will ensure that Gatwick Airport Management are made aware of your comments at our next meeting with them. It is not clear from your review who you received directions from, we have a reception desk which is manned 24hours and our team would always be very happy to assist you with directions to our location via the phone.With regards the parking, there are several options open to you, you can be dropped off at the designated drop off zone or park in the short stay car park and walk the short distance through to us. We have designated bays available for our guests in the short stay car park no 6, but a charge is payable to NCP and is managed by Gatwick Airport.As we are located within the North Terminal building we are, according to Gatwick Airport Police strict security rules and regulations required to see all guests identification, either a passport or driving licence before the guest can be checked in.
