I wish they had king beds available in more rooms and air conditioning (it was surprisingly hot in our room, even with the windows open). Offering light snacks after 3PM would also be nice.

During warm weather, the property needs to purchase fans capable of cooling a room where one may sleep comfortably. We had a very uncomfortable night. The only reason to stay at a hotel is to have a good night'ssleep.

Treated like royalty. The hotel is a 300 year old manor house with a beautiful garden, and within easy walking distance of Kilkenny Castle and the rest of the medievel village. And the breakfast was outstanding.

My husband and I absolutely LOVED this hotel. It was the best place we stayed in Ireland. First the staff were just fantastic. The front desk staff were so helpful answering all of our questions. The wait staff in the restaurant were delightful. The location is just perfect. You are right in Kilkenny. You can walk everywhere in town from that location. The room we had was so spacious and quiet. Everything was clean and functioned perfectly. There is parking right onsite which is a plus. Also the breakfast we had there was one of our favorite meals of our trip. So delicious!

The Butler House far exceeded our expectations. Travelling with 2 kids, often the rooms are cramped, but our room was so spacious, and with a view of the castle to top it off. The hotel is meticulous, old world charm but modern amenities. The breakfast was over the top delicious. This hotel will be my only option when we come back again.
