Great location - average experience
It is so close to so many things and subway stops. Check in was relatively easy, but had to contact the host when we were almost there because they hadn't called with check in information as they said they would. They responded relatively quickly, with excuses. Once we got instructions, things were easy.We had a few issues, even though we didn't spend much time in the apartment. The place was clean, but cold. The listing didn't mention that one bedroom is in the basement, which was nicely finished. There was no thermostat and just a thin comforter (no blanket) on bed downstairs. The bedding was for a twin bed, so the blanket/comforter doesn’t cover 2. people. We took an extra blanket from the bunk beds upstairs to stay warm. The pots and pans provided were in poor condition, with scratches and loose handles on the non-stick pots. There were only 2 mugs and both were chipped. The toaster was broken. There were 3 of us and there were only 3 bath towels provided for the whole week and no hand towels or wash cloths. The kitchen had no dish towels or paper towels and only a stinky sponge for washing dishes. I had to request these things, which they did provide.We were given check out information, which we followed and were told to take our trash out to a dumpster that did not exist. I texted the host to see where we should leave it and they never responded. At that price, we expected better provided amenities.
