The property has a well worn feel to it. The kitchen was well equipped although the dishwasher racks have lost their wheels and needed to be handled with care. Some light bulbs indoors and out were missing or not working.
The bedroom layout was good and the bed linen very attractive. More clarity re the cleaning/bed changing needs to be made (I may have asked Brunella to do too much, but I was there for a month)
I totally understand the need to be careful with water use, but we found that the hot water for showers was variable.
We had a problem with the pump for the swimming pool, but after contacting the owner it was fixed and maintained quickly.
Contact with the owner was efficient via text.
The DVD player was not working (playing in black and white only) until my son-in-law fixed it during the second week. I would not have known what to do had it not been for him!
Wifi efficient (until a storm knocked it out) but I was able to fix it with help from the owner.
The property is on the side of a hill and the garden has some steep slopes up to the car parking area. The stairs in the house are steep, so children should be careful!
Overall we had a lovely time.

We have to say this is a really unusual review to receive after such friendly happy messages from you.
And because you have been so detailed in your criticism I felt it would be sensible to respond.
You are the first person to rent for a month so perhaps it was a learning curve. I am very disappointed to see that despite your enthusiastic messages and thanks, that you have given such a review. It’s a first! Helpful criticism is good but it was never apparent from any communication that you were less than happy.
Sorry to hear there were light bulbs out. This has just been checked. Every single room is very well illuminated with not only numerous overhead lights and numerous table and bedside lights.
3 out of 63 basic bulbs including 2 x 5 arm chandeliers in a large house - some will go sometimes - but since there is a handyman, cleaner , gardener, pooand someone at the phone for any queries/ assistance, including booking taxis I’m surprised you did not mention this at any point.
Of course it may be the fairy lights that are provided for fun and are not a necessity. They were put up just for fun and will certainly be remove.
You did not mention that literally every possible help is on hand .
Assistance and advice and speedy help when there was a p given whenever you asked, I’m sorry you haven’t mentioned this.
Storms happen and turning just one switch was I hope not difficult . It’s highly unusual that it happens so it must have been a serious storm.
Hot water - no one mentioned this! No previous guest has so this is a surprise. A plumber has checked it today to be sure.
Thank you re the dishwasher- it’s less than a year old - we always trust that guests should they break something, will report it but it’s good to know now.
Thank you for adjusting the dvd! Again it’s one of the things that when you provide a lot, some things that are not mentioned as a guest leaves, may go unnoticed when cleaning and preparing! We supply connections plus wireless speakers for iPhones and Mac laptop so that you can watch your own channels etc as well as of course our Netflix etc.
Im sorry you were offended at being asked to be sensible with water, it is not good to leave water running for no reason.
But this is not a hotel, just a very well and broadly equipped house with everthing one might need to have a good time and hosted by people who try to make guests as happy as possible.!
And I have to say I understood you were among the 99.9 happy!
