I’ll start by saying from the outside the cottage looked lovely but once inside we quickly realised it was superficial. The shower leaks so floor is flooded every time it’s used, the oven sets the smoke alarm off if you leave the door open for 5 seconds, that’s if you can workout how to switch it on because there’s no instructions, being an old cottage it’s very dark even on a bright day outside so lights need to be on all day, on entering the property we noticed it was very dusty, looking like it hadn’t been cleaned in a while, cobwebs in every corner and feet getting dirty instantly. Then we get to what was left for us by the owner in the way of towels etc, 1 hand towel and 2 large towels, no bath or shower towels. Only 1 toilet roll for 2 people? Then we come to security, the front door didn’t lock properly until I fixed it, the old ground floor windows didn’t close properly, the smoke alarm in the bedroom upstairs was dismantled and lying on the window ledge. I could go on but why. This took the shine off a nice weeks holiday. I cannot in anyway recommended this to anyone.
