Leider hat hotels.com meine Buchung bestätigt, obwohl das Hotel voll war. Wir wurden in ein anderes Hotel (Sunrays) umgeleitet, das aber überhaupt nicht unseren Vorstellungen entsprach. Wir blieben notgedrungen eine Nacht und haben dann auf eigene Faust und Kosten ein anderes Hotel gesucht, da das Personal nicht in der Lage war, ein dem Maestral entsprechendes Ersatzhotel in ruhiger Lage direkt am Strand zu finden. Das Wenige, was wir vom Maestral gesehen haben (Eingang undTerrasse), war durchaus ok. Da der Buchungsfehler offensichtlich bei hotels.com liegt, fände ich eine Kostenerstattung angebracht.Die Bewertung setze ich formal auf neutral, damit sie überhaupt rausgeht.

We had an amazing time at Hotel Maestral. The owners were very friendly and hospitable. The breakfast every morning was delightful and delicious. The view from our room was breathtaking. It’s right on the Sea and our room had a huge balcony. We would highly recommend staying at Hotel Maestral. You will love the views!

Stay here - it’s lovely!

There’s a little private beach and an excellent beach bar and restaurant. It’s a short walk into town, not to be missed of an evening when the whole town enjoys a stroll along the sea front!

Recommend for balcony sea views & beach area

It was nice to leave the balcony door open to fall asleep and wake up to the sound of the sea. There's a nice friendly family running this hotel. Given the affordability this is a basic hotel. What I would call out given the listing and what is posted in the hotel room is that there isn't daily cleaning even if it's stated. I was there 3 nights and not cleaned once. That is fine, just don't say there is daily cleaning. I'm usually surprised to see a shower curtain in this part of the world. It would have been better without given all the mildew. And 24 hour front desk is a stretch. There was never anyone technically behind the front desk. The family may have been around but not always. Mentioning in case travelers are coming and going at non standard hours. I liked the location. It was away from the main boardwalk but walkable. Roughly 10 minutes. And about 20 minute walk to the unofficial bus stop accessing Tirana, Other seaside Towns, Berat, etc. Overall, I'd recommend and stay again with the right expectations.

Nice location, but saving money on everything
Veröffentlicht am 09.08.2017 auf HotelsWhen entering this hotel you feel you have come to heaven. The entrance, the surroundings and the location are all amazing. When you enter your room you feel let down... The rooms look torn and don't have much space. The air-condition works fine, but it turns itself off all the time, so if you expect to come into a fresh and cold room you will be disappointed...
When you need to contact people in the reception they are never there. We had some questions to ask, but couldn't get hold of anyone... One day we didn't have toilet paper and it was very hard to get hold of anyone, and after they said they would bring it we still had to go to reception and look again later... Luckily there was no urgency to go to toilet!!
The breakfast is very limited, but the breakfast area is fantastic with nice views of Saranda.
I hope the owners of the hotel can spend more money on keeping someone working in the reception the whole day/night, upgrade the rooms and invest in more food for breakfast - if they do, then this hotel will be very good. It has potential, but because of cutting down and saving on everything that gives the guests comfort makes the hotel look very bad.
