Just have a look at our reservation history....!
That says it all.....
We always like the warm welcome we get upon checking in.
So far there was always a room available even though - due to the early arrival of the Norröna - we're at the Foroyar quite early.
We also enjoy the beautiful walks down to or up from the city center....it keeps us fit and we always enjoy the beautiful views.
To sum it up: it always feels like coming home

Hotel Føroyar is probably the best Hotel on the Foroyar Island. There are just two things I criticize:
1) There are unqualified personell in the (Ground-Floor-) Restaurant
2) There is a consturction area right in front of the guest rooms (we had an Executive Suite), which was in operation during weekdays from 06.30 until 22.00 in the evening.
But overall, good Hotel (northern Europe Standard), clean, nice rooms, free parkinglots in front of building and close to City.

Das Hotel liegt etwas oberhalb der Stadt und der Wellnessbereich ist noch nicht ganz fertig.
Das Zimmer war sauber und das Frühstücksbuffet sehr gut.

Betten waren sehr gut, Aussicht aus der unteren Etage nicht ganz optimal, wenn das Hotel gut belegt ist wird es zum Frühstück etwas voll und die Auswahl ist dann begrenzt.

Freshly renovated hotel with a nice view
Veröffentlicht am 19.07.2021 auf HotelsWe arrived at night. The check in was slow (30 minutes) and not very professional. But the staff at day is much friendlier and more professionell.
The rooms are big enough and many offer a nice view over Torshavn and the bay.
The breakfast buffet is nice and offer something for everyone. Nevertheless it would be nice if food will also be put up for the whole time and that wouldn’t be stopped 45 minutes before the buffet ends.
Even with some odds and ends I would recommend the hotel.

- Das Hotel hat kein Restaurant mehr und es gibt in der Umgebung nichts was zu Fuss zu erreichen wäre. Zudem wird der Parkplatz teils nicht gesalzen und das erreichen seines Autos ist sogar als dreissigjähriger mit guten Schuhen eine Rutschpartie. Das Frühstück ist in Ordnung aber immer überlaufen und es fehlen teils elementare Sachen wie Joghurt für lange Zeit. Besonders sauber sind auch die Zimmer nicht. Das absolut schlimmste ist aber die Einstellung des Personals und der Direktion. Auf die Frage ob ein "Late"checkout um 13 Uhr anstelle von 11 Uhr möglich wäre, war dies trotz halb leerem Hotel erst schwierig und danach mittels zirka 15 Euro Aufschlag pro Stunde möglich. Diese Einstellung zieht sich über den ganzen Aufenthalt und verbreitet schlechte Laune. Am schlimmsten war jedoch Frau Frederiksberg an der Rezeption die gänzlich uninteressiert an ihren Gästen war. Ich war in drei Hotels auf der Insel und es war mit Abstand das schlechteste.

Tolle Unterkunft in Torshavn, als Ausgangspunkt für viele Touren. Das Fühstück war sehr reichhaltig, im Hotel gibt es auch ein eigenes Restaurant.
